It was super funny watching Sona struggle against Taric Ashe in DH though. I was like seriously? I'd 1v2 that shit. | ||

I did a check on their player's build+runes+masteries if you're interested. Runes: Flat Mana Regen Reds, Scaling Mana Regen Yellows, Scaling AP Blues, Gold/10 Quints Materies: Standard 9/0/21, Flash+CV Mastery Item Build: He seems to go Philo then stack HoGs and get a Mercs, although in a scrim he also built a Reverie and Soul Shroud but in that game his team seems to have been winning hard. GameDDE's preferred bot lane is Sona+Trist as well. | ||

Used to run WQQE off double Charm into double PStone -> Tears -> Ionian -> etc. with an end-game build of Miracle Ionian Arch Death Lich Aegis, but the double stone doesn't give economy anymore + Pstone regens less so it wouldn't sustain lane anymore. Huge double whammy to my Sona, although I don't blame them because PStone and stacking was too strong. when Neo brought up Kage (possibly trolling me): [11:59:17 AM] : dunno if the ap is enough to make the heal strong enough compared to uhhh [11:59:20 AM] : the drop in mana regen [11:59:27 AM] : is why i'm apprehensive thar [11:59:46 AM] : might be a pstone -> tear -> hog/kage kind of thing tho but then that's really late [12:00:00 PM] : alternatively might build a sona runeset replacing armor quints with gold quints to try to offset [12:00:06 PM] : worried it makes her too squishy again tho Edit: Our 2v2 lane changes all the time on the whims of people but I've enjoyed running Sona with stupid stuff like Vayne (when not banned), Ezreal, Jarvan, Xin, Irelia, and so on and so forth. The ridiculous burst and aggression combined with a perfectly good babysit carry is hilar. | ||

Sit in the brush 24/7, have some tea and look up from the newspaper once every 5 minutes to check if you need to drop a heal. No idea why they would even get 9 in offense with that attitude. Sona's earlygame damage potential is huge, but with MP5 marks you gimp yourself hard for an amazing 2.34 MP5. Also mercs on ranged supports, I don't get it... | ||

But that's what he uses on Sona. FnaticMellisan has a slightly more different Rune Page for his supports running Red: Flat MRes/Armour/MPen, Yellows: Scaling MP5, Blues: Flat Mres or CDR Scaling, HP Quints. He also has Exp Quints randomly. Still 9/0/21. Item build is Philo+HoG into Mercs, then Aegis, then Reverie. | ||

By contrast most Sona players I see run squishy Sona, so that she can't actually abuse her stupid Q, instead playing like a crappy version of Soraka. When in reality she dominates Soraka babysit lanes because Soraka cannot keep up with Sona's efficiency. | ||
