Soft reset, everyone is put back to 1250 but everyone's matchmaking is about the same as in Season I so you face people of your level. Soft means that you will be segmented based on how you did this season. IE Jiji at 2200 wont have to stomp through 200 elo players for 3 weeks until the rankings normalize. | ||

I think theyre gonna do it with matchmaking ie everyones rating is 1200 but everyone has a different matchmaking. Or they do it like you said but that'll only cause bigger crying by all the people. | ||

During the beta/preseason I remember resets being a little harder than that, with anyone above 1400 set to 1400, and anyone below 1000 set to 1000, and everyone else 1200. Or something like that, it's been a while (but the 1400 is right). The elo extremes weren't as high with fewer players, but there was still several weeks of craziness, so maybe they will go softer this time (I doubt anyone will be 1875 after the reset, though). | ||
