Apparently it is a controversial thing to say that organizations shouldn't take advantage of players' willingness to play(and earn money for the team) for no wages. Even if it is an industry standard, its a standard that should change. (even if the pay is only a paltry amount. something is better than nothing.)

EDIT: And maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I don't feel like Li Ming carries games like other assassins simply because she is not that good at securing kills herself, despite her gaudy damage numbers. Compare that to someone like Zeratul, where I routinely account for 50%+ of my teams' kills and I can actually tell that I am carrying hard. | ||

Ridiculous how often people criticize me for not focusing their carries, when in every situation they criticize, the reality is that if I miss one attack, I won't get a new shield in time and I'll just die. Yeah, I think that there is a lot of misconception regarding how to play Artanis and how best to utilize him. As he stands now, he's a damage sponge who poses a medium damage threat to the enemy team. He's at his best in an anti-bruiser/tank/enemy frontline role. Yes, you can use him to dive the enemy back line and force mismatches back there, but I find that, more of than not, you're going to find your team letting you down and being unable to exploit the situation. I actually find Li Ming to be the ultimate finishing machine. I find that she's really good at two things. 1) Pre-fight poking with her incredibly long range, and 2) flanking and finishing opponents. Her potential seems quite wasted if you try to be a back line poker during a team fight (like Jaina), as the team's front line absorbs all of your damage. I can pretty much secure any kill if I can teleport fairly close to a damaged opponent (especially if I build Calamity) and then just drop Missiles/Orb/Disintegrate in a .5 second span. This alone secures the kill, resets your cooldowns, and heals you, allowing you to either escape or just spam it again. Of course, this depends on team composition (sometimes I can get a little too dive-happy), but it can often snowball into utter ridiculousness. | ||

So I think next time I have a Tassadar I leave the draft. Lost like 5 of the last 6 times I had him, and always win vs him. And never play on wednesday afternoon again (it's the kids free afternoon in France). edit: checked the stats, we got an Illidan 2 out of these 3 times, and Illidan sucks IMO. My favorite was the one who was bragging in draft, and fed the whole game. He has a 27% winrate in HL with Illidan. It's not like we could carry this. | ||

The usual. They ignore the fact that I got 3 forts solo whilst the enemy team got 1. They proceed to do nothing but stand at boss, attack it once every 90s, and go afk for the time between. Obviously, we lost this game. 3v5 is hard to win. Game 3, Garden Terror. First pick and team captain is still in placement (has account level 33) bans tracer, enemy team bans Illidan. We get a first pick Li fucking Li. Enemy team gets Kael Thas + Li Ming. To make matter worse, we have a last pick Jaina, who is silenced, afk for the first minute the game starts, waits behind a wall until the plants spawn. Goes mental on pinging me (Mura) and a teammate (the Li Li) for taking shit heroes, not helping at the top plant (mind you, forcing teamfights as 5 into a superior comp, at 2 mins in the game, is not a recipe for success). After I said we should get bot plant and start soaking bot lane, she pings pings pings me, and spends the rest of the game walking with me, auto attacking regularly, and pinging me. When I hearthstoned because I was OOM, Jaina came with me (literally 100% HP/Mana) and spent the rest of the game in the altar area. Guess what. We lost. It is extremely frustrating how hard toxic fucks can throw games for you, and they get off without punishment. The ETC in G2 actually took pride in the fact that he could harass me like this and he would get off without penalty. Additionally, it is very disheartening how the matchmaker seems to balance winrates out. You win a ton of games, then you lose a ton of games. The wins are stomps, the losses are due to toxic fucks throwing the game because they get salty. It is REALLY hard currently to play fun, evenly matched games without one troll or another deciding to throw at some point. This game, sadly, needs harsher penalties, on top of a much better matchmaking system. I used to be against it, but I feel more and more like a low priority HL queue is something desirable. It would probably also fix how the weekends are nigh unplayable. | ||

We need temporary bans or forced QMs. Maybe we also should be able to kick people (unanimity of the other 4 players required). But again, if people don't get more than the mute penalty, it's useless. And muted people create more toxicity than when they're not muted, so I'd rather they remove this. | ||

Over the last two days I've gone something like winning 11/15 of my games in HL. But most of those games have been routes, and largely due to enemy teams obviously breaking down (going afk), people drafting poorly, and so on. If you can kill 2-3 people before the first objective spawns on most maps, you just end up winning regardless of whether you gained much material advantage from the ganks. That's super dumb, and it seems like it should be a fixable problem. | ||

Had a lane Tracer and Azmodan today ... on Towers of Doom :D . I kinda expected something like this, so went for 1 Dwarf vs 5 Talents. Barely won. Zagara tilted midgame "what the fuck are you thinking" on which I dropped the subtle hint "np its reportable so no worries". Afterwards the Tracer did join the fights. Sadly because I really wanted to report both. | ||
