Well, she would have been useless without them. I think it's better than to pretend you can lane when you cannot. But you have to make some kills, which she obviously didn't.
This game was desperate. Maybe versus bad players or with a great team coordination it could have worked but this was too awful to be true.

Man just payed my 3 daily games, 3 bad games.
First game we play cursed hollow vs Cho Gall. I was the only one trying to outrotate them so we play their game, and lose hard. We had Valla Tychus (useless right now i think) and Karhazim... how the hell...
Second game this Cho Gall is with me they pick johanna jaina instead of Cho Gall which seemed great. Our stitches is AFK enough time for the other team to get 3 levels lead. I was Nova and Jaina Johanna didn't want to lane separately so I had to lane for 2 minutes. It was over, but when Stitches comes back he sucks so hard it was even worse.
Third game we have Zera Murky Raynor. The other 2 players decide the game is over in lobby. They still go for a bad Reghar and an ok Johanna. But they play bad and only want to blame others all game.
Had I won the first game I'd be rank 1 now for the first time. It was Cho Gall, damn it's not allowed to lose vs him.

So why in the hell is Nova suddenly so popular in HL? Is it just the gathering power changes? I'm getting crap loads of people first picking her in my games and proceeding to completely suck...
Also tons of Tyrandes...previously nobody wanted to heal, so I can only assume these are former assassin mains that decided to try the new FotM and all of a sudden our team lacks a good healer.

^I always thought tyrande is fine as a solo healer. In fact, better than uther in some cases.
Since uthers heal is kinda lowish.

Nova was picked in a pro match and has 50% win rate. Enough to make every person that likes Nova go "yes now is my time". Doesn't help that they announced they might rework Nova.
Anti Armor Shells is a really good talent, I pick it around 70% of the time as well. But if you pick that against chars with block or if you have almost no heroes with waveclear on your team. You are doing something really really wrong. Or you are one of those 7k siege damage Novas.
And yeah I saw a Regardles too, was a Raynor though. But I meant regardless.

I wonder how many people actually realise/think about this kind of thing though? I was always under the impression she was popular because MLG 420 no scopes.

Just recently, I deliberately threw a game.
Why? Because we began to get into a losing situation where we were almost 2 levels down, and two teammates decided to be abusive towards me. I asked them to apologise on multiple occasions and this provoked them further, so I deliberately killed myself multiple times, only for everyone to continue to give me shit. After they all issued afk/nonparticipation reports to me, I countered with 4 abusive chat reports.
I know a lot of people are going to disagree with me here, but I did it because of 3 reasons:
1. I shouldn't have to put up with abuse.
2. The report/mute system in Heroes (and MOBAs in general) is highly ineffective.
3. As far as I'm concerned, if you are toxic, you do not deserve to win.

To tell you the truth, the golden rule (treat others as you would like to be treated yourself) goes both ways in this situation, and it's pretty obvious I did this as a last resort even after being polite to them just angered them even more...
