I get that a lot too. Guy picks healer or warrior "for the team" and then sucks all game long, and then tell us "I never play warrior/healer." Then just don't queue in HL. You need at the bare minimum 3 warriors and 2 healers (tassadar and tyrande don't count) to start playing HL. I suck with warriors but I can confidently pick Leoric ETC Diablo or Johanna and not bring my team down. Anyone must be able to pick Malf or Lili and stay the fuck in the back line.

Why lol? I'm a great tank (which is always my first pick), I never end up having to choose a support class. But at least when I'm forced to go support, Lili is my best choice and I play her really damn good. My issue is when the person picking support doesn't know how to play support and/or the person that needs to pick a support decides to do a dps class. Also have you never ran into 4dps + tyrande in battlefield of eternity? It's op. I have my highest win rate with tyrande at battlefield of eternity - that immortal is too good :l

A good Li li belongs in the front line. People can't resist targeting the little girl and chasing her all the way to the backline. She's probably the hardest support to kill, up there with Tassadar.
If your Li Li stands behind Nazeebo/Kael'Thas, she's doing it wrong.

As for the Kerrigans. You start a new Hero at noob MMR ... and there E before W is usually better. Because they don't dodge it and don't run away. When I started I was like ... "I thought it was W before E .... but the other way round works better?"
Problem with that is then they'll learn E + W and never go for W + E as one should. That they jump in with Q solo can be bad enough (though learning when to do that and when not to should come naturally over time) but sometimes I see (usually enemy) Kerrigans just using W and E completely separately. This either allows me to just totally dodge the stun or I get E'd and nothing happens. When you do come up against a Kerrigan that knows how to land the combo though...especially if they get a level advantage...scary times.
All that said, playing her with a level disadvantage or with a bad healer is just frustrating as hell. You can land the combo perfectly a dozen times but without a team to take advantage of it and a healer to ensure you don't die trying she can be so painful to play. Had a Kharazim who was solo healer and decides to go for SSS instead of Divine Palm when he had me as Kerrigan on the team and we had plenty of damage already. So annoying.

I often wind up in a similar bit but for tanks. My best tank far and away is Anub, which occasionally raises eyebrows because you don't see it that much compared to Jo or Leoric. Similar to Lili when compared to Malf, Uther or Rehgar I would imagine.

I think so too. The lol and my comment are related to the way you posted above. 1. "I play assassin, tank and spec" 2. "If I play support, I can only play Tass, Tyrande, Lili" 3. "You don't play support? Why do you q HL????"
Anyways, since this is the QQ thread.... I just played some HL. First pick was Tassadar. Everyone build the team with tanks and assassins. Fifth player wants to take Gazlowe! He ended up picking Malf and we won, but man if not the whole lobby would have been full of "Don't take Gaz!!!, We need heal..." this would have been such a waste of time :D Actually, he played a pretty good Malf, so I don't understand how he could have even thought about picking Gazlow....
For tanks, Our first tank pick was Tyrael and I wanted to play a second tank (Johanna). Everybody in the chat kept telling me that it's so bad because e have two tanks and no chance now. When I tell them that double tank is normal they keep replying: "No, not normal. Never two tanks... " Enemy team had Ilidan, so one more squishy would have been one more easy target for Ilidan.

Yoy tell me, its really annoying.
People really should try a bit harder to understand the draft. Reading some guides or watching some games could help. Or don't, if they don't feel like it, but don't be a know it all and make silly statements.
HL draft dumb rule #1: If its below 50% in HotsLogs its bad. #2: If its not popular in HL its bad. #3: You always need more damage. Double support? no, need more damage. Double tank? no, need more damage. No crowd control? its ok, who needs that?
edit: wait... maybe i was misunderstood, those are dumb rules that many people think should be followed but are mostly BS imo.

Well, it just depends on the level you're playing at. At rank 1 maybe the meta matters so much, but at other ranks you really need to pick your best heroes (they have to fit in the team of course). I've just checked HotSlogs (master league) and I cannot disagree more. Tyrande is below 50% but she's a monster in some pro games, Sylv is below 50% and she's the best hero on mines and (according to some guides here) has to be #1 pick on this map, Valla is below 50% and I can't see why, Nova is at 40% but last week she was 53% so I guess all the good Novas just took some holidays. The meta is a thing, until everyone moves to another thing. I play at rank 10 (not very good I know) and I almost never see double warrior win a game for example, although it's the meta right now. Almost all Leoric suck and the guys is at more than 90% popularity. Because it's low rank and the meta is more important for pros.
Pwere > I don't doubt that, I guess it means I need to improve my Lili.

I think it is a burden of knowledge kind of thing, combined with the fact that making it work can involve more teamwork than is likely to occur in HL. I got the 0___o when I wanted to pair Johanna and Leoric (I was being selfish and wanted to play my latest purchase) and wound up just taking KT.

Forever stuck at Hero League 30...doesn't matter how well I play if my teammates decide to run in 4v5 after I explicitly tell them not to fight because I need to get mana and am hearthing back.
Then proceed to die 3v5 over and over again as I bounce between all the lanes trying to keep the keeps intact.
I could do better microing all 5 heroes than playing 1v5 with this shit team.
|
I've learned that the 30's are the worst and today I ran into a dude who just afk'd the draft and the game, got reported and was thrown out for inactive.... That game was a loss. Then after, I que up again and some how this dude was able to que up again and AFK the the draft again. I left before the game started and saved everyones time and effort. I lost two ranks but w.e hero league for me has turned into another QM....

Raynor is OP. I played him 10 games in a row with easy wins. What a boring hero, I got up to Rank 2.

I saw you in TL chat. Saw the rank 2 and thought "huh, he must really know what he's talking about"
Guess I'll start running raynor!

Raynor can put out stupid scoreboard numbers for hero damage though I'm not 100% sure how effective his team fight damage actually is. He's a solid hero but people see the 100k hero damage and just assume they went god mode that game but in actuality it is just because you auto attack for so much and you can bully lanes to farm hero damage.
