I recognize Jintae, iCloud, and Bischu from solo queue, they're pretty good. Also IIRC, Jintae and Bischu were Challenger LoL players.

It's going to be an uphill battle for them to learn the game before Blizzcon, I think.

#1) Gold gain needs to be faster. Since the wipe I've played off and on and I think I'm plvl 12 or something. I still don't have enough gold to buy Abathur. This will only get worse since I've already hit most of the player level gold checkpoints. I think Blizzard should consider giving players a decent gold income and write off pay-for-hero as a loss and assume they'll make it back up on for-pay skins and mounts. Offer more things like the pig mount and master skins as a huge gold sink for players then premium stuff for a cost. #2) Talent gating has got to go. I bought quite a few bundles but I still only play the same handful of characters because I look at playing Valla but knowing I have to slog through shitty talent gated games and I just don't do it. It serves no purpose and negatively impacts my enjoyment of the game.

There are some issues, though. First off, talent gating shouldn't exist in draft mode. If they include it in there they are just incompetent. Secondly, the talent system itself is extremely one dimensional. It's funny because in World of Warcraft they watered down the talent trees in order to make sure nearly every talent was viable at some point in time. However, they seem to have gone the exact opposite way in Heroes, as the majority of the talents are awful in any situation. You could remove 75% of all talents and the only people that would even notice are the bad players. Lastly, Heroes suffers from a major inability to compensate for weak teammates. In League or DOTA you can kinda do your own thing if you have a bad teammates, and eventually outgear or outlevel the other team. Items help immensely with this, and a lot of heroes can fill multiple roles by just switching items. In Heroes if you have a bad player on your team there is absolutely nothing at all you can do about it. People don't see pings and don't listen to chat, and there are no items or personal experience to set you apart. A simple solution to this would be to allow talents to be switched once per game while at the fountain. It really, really sucks on some heroes when you pick certain talents and then your teammates end up being useless but you're locked into things you picked for synergy.

On average that's less than an hour per character. See I have a major problem with this argument. I have a life and family I don't get a ton of time to play the game. I get an hour or so a day to play it. So I have to dedicate basically my entire night of gaming to playing some gimped version of a hero just to unlock the real version. "It isn't a big deal" still implies there is a deal. And it subtracts from my, and my other people's, enjoyment of the game. As for your other argument I've played enough DOTA to know that if you have a downright terrible on your team you better be some form of professional superstar to not lose that game. In Heroes all you really need is for the person to follow you around and make sure you are always in the right spot. There are many times I've played Heroes and we've been doing poorly and I just decided "Nah I don't feel like losing" and I simply take the reigns and make sure I'm, personally, playing the best I can. And we then go on to win the game. There is individual play in this game and I think pretending there isn't is wrong.

You're ignoring the bigger problem with the argument: If it only takes 1-2 games and isn't a big deal, why have it at all? EDIT: To belabor the point: talent gating is an inconvenience and annoying with almost no benefit. If the only way to make it palatable is to make it effectively nonexistent, then why have it at all when there's no real benefit?

There is no reason skills should be locked out, if you can't handle the spell options, you're likely too stupid for the game anyway. If they must have this retard bottleneck in place so that new players don't get confused, they should just have an OPT-OUT. I'm not joking when I say the heroes being garbage until you unlock better abilities is one of the main reasons I haven't tried the game more. I don't want to play a few games with a bad hero just to try the real deal. It's obnoxious.
