Introduction
Hello and welcome to my Heroic Blackwing Lair guide! I have compiled some decks that are tested and have beaten each boss multiple times and some budget lists which have good chances at winning. The Dragons and Dragonkin within this wing will test your patience and push your playing skills to the limit, but don't give up, you can beat these monsters! This wing is tough, but hopefully these decklists will help get you through.
Razorgore the Untamed

Scramble some eggs and enjoy the breakfast of heroes.
Razorgore focuses on creating, protecting, and hatching his eggs. He starts out with one Corrupted Egg, and spawns another every time he uses his Hero Power. If the Corrupted Egg gets to five Health, it will hatch into a 7/7 Chromatic Drake.
The strategy is simple: play on curve, control the board, and make sure that none of his eggs get up to five health. Mind Control Tech is also a solid card here because it will almost always steal one of his minions. This boss shouldn’t be too difficult, just control his eggs and you should be fine. Razorgore’s deck consists of at least two of each of the following: Bloodlust, Wolfrider, Volcanic Drake, Flameheart, Hungry Dragon, Dragon Consort, Drakonid Crusher, Blackwing Technician, Corruption, Twilight Whelp, Azure Drake, and Dragon's Breath.
Budget
This boss still shouldn’t be too difficult. As long as you focus on dealing with the eggs, the rest should come easy.
Vaelastrasz the Corrupt
![[image loading]](http://www.liquidhearth.com/staff/Hayl_Storm/New_Writers/Nomodogan/Wing4/EssenceotRed.png)
Vaelastrasz is going to fill your hand so put all your cards on the table.
Vaelastrasz ramps up his mana and makes sure that each player's hand has at least a few cards. He takes advantage of your full hand by playing Clockwork Giants and Goblin Sappers.
The strategy here is to dump your hand and burning him out quickly. Try not to burn any cards from having a full hand. Establish a board, deal with his giants, and hit him in the face: this is the main plan. He will take care of keeping your hand filled, just apply maximum pressure and you should be able to take him out easily.
His deck contains the following:
2 Naturalize
2 Flame Imp
2 Clockwork Giant
2 Imp-losion
2 Inner Rage
2 Goblin Sapper
2 Volcanic Drake
2 Gang Up
2 Arcane Missiles
2 Dragon’s Breath
2 Corruption
4 Burning Adrenaline
2 Twilight Drake
2 Molten Giant
Chromaggus

Get rid of the Black card first; then Blue and Bronze; then Red or Green depending on Health totals.
Chromaggus gives you detrimental cards with his Hero Power. Each of these cards benefit Chromaggus in some way and cost three mana to remove from your hand. Green restores six Health to him at the start of your turn; Red deals three damage to you at the start of your turn; Blue makes his spells cost three less; Bronze makes his minions cost three less; and Black gives him a second copy of whatever he draws. The order should be the same for the first five -- Green, Red, Blue, Bronze, Black -- but after that it is random.
The strategy here is to keep the board under control and remove the important detrimental cards from your hand. Mountain Giant is a great card to keep because you can play it on turn four and start controlling the board from there. The Green card does not actually matter until you start to deal damage to him. If you start to take too much damage you should get rid of the Red card. The Black card is the biggest priority because you do not want him to continue to gain card advantage off of it. The Bronze card is about equally as important as the Blue card especially since he has some large minions in his deck. This boss can be tough, but you should be able to get him in a few tries.
His deck consists of the following:
4 Flameheart
2 Twilight Drake
2 Claw
2 Faerie Dragon
2 Bite
2 Chromatic Dragonkin
3 Flamestrike
1 Onyxia
2 Drakonid Crusher
2 Dragon Consort
2 Swipe
2 Blackwing Technician
1 Alexstrasza
1 Nozdormu
2 Hungry Dragon
Budget
This boss will be extremely difficult without Giants. Hopefully you have some Giants kicking around; but if not, the midgame minions can get the job done.
Lord Victor Nefarius
![[image loading]](http://www.liquidhearth.com/staff/Hayl_Storm/New_Writers/Nomodogan/Wing4/TrueForm.png)
Not in heroic mode. Rag can't help you here so try your best to keep the board under control. This won't be an easy one.
Nefarius starts off this fight by transforming into Nefarian and has 50 Armor, 30 Health, and 10 mana. This boss will try to overwhelm you quickly by creating a large board. It is not uncommon for him to kill you on turn four if you do not disrupt him.
Be warned, this encounter will probably take you five or more tries to defeat. In this fight, you should hard mulligan for Wild Pyromancer and Equality. A turn four board clear is your best shot at winning against this extremely difficult boss. If you manage to get early board control, maintain your lead and snowball into your late game win conditions. Keep his board in check and look out for his burst damage. Be patient with this boss, it is the hardest encounter yet in my opinion.
Ragnaros will come to your aid in your fight with Lord Nefarius but only once. You will receive one of the following cards on turn three: DIE, INSECT! (Deal 8 damage to a random enemy); Living Lava (6/6 Taunt); Son of the Flame (6/3 Battlecry: Deal 6 Damage); or Whirling Ash (4/5 Windfury). Use the card you receive wisely.
His deck consists of the following:
2 Faerie Dragon
2 Dragon Consort
2 Twilight Drake
2 Blackwing Technician
2 Claw
2 Drakonid Crusher
2 Tail Swipe
2 Cleave
2 Hungry Dragon
2 Heroic Strike
2 Bite
2 Flamestrike
Budget
This boss is already difficult enough with a full deck. You will need to be extremely patient before you ever pull out a win with this style of deck. I would not recommend attempting this with a budget deck. I wish you the very best of luck against this boss.
Conclusion
I hope you have found this write-up on Heroic Blackwing Lair to be useful and informative. If you used something else to beat these bosses -- or just have an idea on how to improve a deck -- feel free to post about it. I would be happy to hear other ideas, as well as see what strategies others used. I'll see you back next week for the Hidden Laboratory. Best of luck to you on your Hearthstone Adventures!
