I had a Lightspawn at 8 health out of 10 (used Divine Spirit and then taken a bit of damage). I Faceless Manipulator him, and my opponent beats the facelessed one down to 4 health, I heal him back to max, which is now 9 instead of 10. How in the world did that happen? how did the Lightspawn get to 8 health? was it at 4 when you use Divine Spirit or was it at full health when you used Divine Spirit and then got 2 damage? if it's the first one, then his max health is 9. if it's the second, then it's 10 If it's the first it should double to 8 no? Sounds like a bug to me. Actually he is correct. If its at 4 health (1 damage), then doubled, he will be at 8 health + one damage. Leaving him at max 9. Thats probably what happened. So when it says double, it's more of a +4 max health, rather than a *2? Ok that's interesting. yes. what it really does is add the current health to both current and max health

I attacked a Hunter with an Azure Drake as a warrior with Fiery War Axe equipped and he had Misdirection . The Drake attacked me and took 3 damage from the axe, without wasting a charge.
Is this intended? I've never seen weapons do damage when you're being attacked.

Is this intended? I've never seen weapons do damage when you're being attacked. Whenever you are attacked during your own turn, your weapon is 'active' and deals damage to things. It is intended, but I still hate it (it's just such a big swing for 2 mana, and there's no risk for the hunter, unlike say Equality)

Working as intended. Your weapon gives your hero attack and it loses durability, when you swing it. The monster is misdirected into something, in this case your hero. Both you and the minion have attack and health values. A regular attack is happening. Since it is the minion, not you, who is performing an attack, you do not lose charges, but your hero will do your current weapon damage to the minion. Hearthstone can be very cruel at times.

What is this whole Reynad salt thing. I don't get it at all.

I have never heard someone use it while talking in the Pacific Northwest.

I've always understood it as tears = have salt in them.

I also thought it might have something to do with rubbing salt in a wound.

might come from people who have negative connotation with salt/salty water like seamen. that's just my speculation though.

Can someone, please, briefly explain what exactly are decks like Miracle Rogue, and Sunshine Hunter? Where did these terms even come from? Thanks.

On May 26 2014 23:11 Hier wrote: Can someone, please, briefly explain what exactly are decks like Miracle Rogue, and Sunshine Hunter? Where did these terms even come from? Thanks. Miracle Rogue is a deck that relies on Gadgetzan Auctioneer and cheap spells to basically draw your whole deck. Furthermore you got Leeroy + Shadowstep in there to dish out 18+ damage in one turn. for an interview with the creator of the deck, see here
from the interviewer:
Some google questing retraces the term miracle to a 2001 MtG deck called "Miracle Grow" that revolved around building a 2 mana 1/1 creature (Quirion Dryad) that got +1/+1 for each spell cast.
a more up to date decklist here
Sunshine hunter was created by Lifecoach, who gave it the name. he explained the name on his stream, but i forgot, sorry. it basically is a hunter deck with Savannah Highmane and Houndmaster like this

Is Chillwind Yeti necessary for every control/aggro deck?
|
On May 30 2014 09:17 wUndertUnge wrote: Is Chillwind Yeti necessary for every control/aggro deck? Its a good card but a lot of aggro decks won't run him. He has good value in pretty much any deck but in general aggro decks would tend to run dark iron dwarf and some deck would run senjin shieldmaster.
I would say in control decks, he is pretty solid all around and they run him to have a strong turn 4 minion play.

What happens when you Shadow Madness a card which has been played that turn, such as a mirror entity or a snake trap creature? The minion normally retains its ability to attack that turn, but I'm not sure if the same if the creature has summoning sickness already.
