The real question is...do you have what it takes to be a good mod on TL.net?
The TL.net staff has decided that taking in some more moderators (perhaps 1 mod dedicated for each kind of forum) is a good idea.
Your response to this post should be something like this:
"Yes I would like to be a Mod and feel I could perform my duty."
We don't want all your qualifications, because us all-knowing admins at TL.net know your qualifications based on all your posts in the past. Also, if you would prefer moderating a specific forum, please include that.

Yeah, it seems much of TL.net staff went inactive except for rek/wax/drone. Well, the others might be reading stuff, but I haven't seen many posts from the others in a while.
Oh, and having certain admins in certain boards is a great idea... like all other big forums have it but tl.net has always been about the big and mighty admins. Have you guys been having like meetings? heh....

You're very deserving of being a Mod IMO.
BTW to everyone - We won't be giving these new Mod's banning ability, but of course they can always post in our secret mod forum with any suggestions! An Edit/Delete/Close/Remind people of stuff kind of Mod is what we are looking for.

furthermore i am a decent genius as you have no doubt noted. i also have great taste (note that i suck up to all admins AND I REALLY MEAN IT, NOT JUST SUCKING UP) and i also hate everyone who should already be banned (what a coincidence!)
i feel i would make an excellent edition to your team/group and would be honored/excited to join/participate/assist you.
to elaborate further, let me clarify and specify and such: i CAN follow instructions. i am NOT a romantic sentimental idealist douchebag who will abandon responsibilities, obligations, regulations, and promises just to "make a point" or "do what is right" etc. i'm not a douchebag. i know how to follow instructions and rules; i know how to cooperate. for isntance, if instructed to, i would avoid taking any action unless i felt taht any/some etc. admins agree with it and would do it themselves. i just thought i should point this out because i am not always completely serious in my mood or verbiage. i also might waste a lot of my time with forums and shit while sucking at bw. don't mistake that for me being a total dumbass, cuz im not (a total dumbass). i mean, i can learn. and listen. i swear. and shit. ok

I think I would make a decent mod.
Dont know if I would want to do it, seems like Id have to put a bit more time in, and judging the way a lot of people feel about rek right now, I dont know if I could really be myself as a mod, if you knkow what I mean (cough subjective forum nazi cough).
Ill do it, but here are some people I think should be mods:
klogon
pop (for tourneys forum)
pretty short list, but I havent gone through a lot of names. I think it should be someone who posts a lot, is fair, wouldnt be afraid to ban someone, and can help the site out. Those are the only 2 who came to mind right away.
edit: maybe travis, he disappears sometimes, but i think he would make a good moderator otherwise.

Well i would like to help with everything i can, i know its not an easy task but, hey,i want to!Ya know besides being mod..i think i m a very capable person to give ideas and put some of my effort in different sections of this site.
Ya know, if you guys give me the chance i would help to "keep" clean the forum..Yeah i wouldnt be an addictive "topic eraser" cuz for me everything thats not racism, or that isnt judging someone way of living! or any way of discrimination its fine(with exceptions) anyway i ll not tire you up guys..If TL.net needs any kind of help. i would be very glad to help on everything i can, being able to make the site a better place for the visitors.

Yeh i'd like to be a mod mostly because i'm probably more active than the majority of the forums (post count -_-) and frankly I think I don't argue as much as many others. I feel no inclination to start an argument or participate in it and would rather see things at peace, mostly because I'm a hippy. Anyways, I also know who the majority of the forum members are due to the length of my experience here. Also, I recommend sage.francis simply because his diagnosis on Faulk was one of the funniest things ever. Also, good to see I have many supporters for the worst poster. thx.

Wow, I feel like an idiot.
My wavering opinion doesn't really speak well of my decisive abilities.
However, I must now say that discerning between acceptable and not-acceptable is not as complicated as I had convinced myself it was.

haha maybe. Even though I'm a right-winger I'm pretty fair-minded and make good judgment calls. I'm really not quite sure what the powers of the mod are besides banning and posting in/viewing the secret forum, so how would one go about moderating anyway? Just locking threads and warning people/reporting them in the secret forum? Certainly sounds manageable. Most flamebait and troll posts are pretty obvious =)

I think Klogon should be a moderator because he has patience and is smart and doesn't jump to conclusions nor does he do the stupid things that cause problems. Most of the time that is!

Moderating would be editing out/deleting flaming and hateful posts, or posts with no relevance whatsoever. You would be responsible for making sure that the posts on this forum follow the rules placed by the other moderators (And yourself, I guess.)

I'd like to become a mod and like...uh... do translations of interviews and news stuff that's in Korea (well...Wax already does this but I guess I could help out). Well, I think the interviews and maybe game reports are more interesting. I've been an English-Korean translator since I was in high school, so it's been about 5-6 years since I started doing stuff like that.

I'd like to be a moderator also. Leaning more towards Broodwar forum for my part, but any is fine.
I am one of the oldest members on the site (and maybe the one to make least noise), and since I don't know any of the new ones I am not afraid to offend people.

I think if you really want to weed out all the shitty posts, make an IRC channel.. it'd be way cooler than posting 400 msgs during a game that everyone is watching :[
Another cool thing, would be to make the search function search the whole site, rather than just 1 of the 10 sections.. a lot of people probably open up new threads because it's easier than searching 10 times for one thing

I've been particularly impressed by Klogon and Excalibur's conduct re. the CPL big thread, and related activities. They were both VERY patient in the face of extreme, and unremitting stupidity.

Sup sup, i've always looked through theses forums, but just recently became a member of TL.Net. I think i'd have the same views a Klogon on the banning thing. I've been administrator for over 3 big forums, so im pretty familiar with all forum formats. I am also pretty proficient at html, php, mysql, and some coding if you need it. But the coding is in python, and i don't know how much you could use it :p.. Anyways I know how hard it is to moderate a huge forum like this with just a few people, and then have everyone fuss at you for doing it, like everyone does to rek . I think I would be a good moderator for this site. I am starting to read huge amounts of information that has to do with bw. I read almost everything here and on WGTour.com. I am also an avid and very active sc/bw player thats getting better by the second  ! I think I would be very good for doing this job. I will update, check forums, clean forums, and do anything else that is required 2-4 times a day. I guess thats about it, I'll check this forum tomorrow when I wake up :p. gl hf gg~btw I will study any section of the forum you assign me too greatly, if I am chosen

On a side note, it might be good to have a poll to narrow down the candidates. That would serve the dual purpose of selecting a popular (and hopefully good) mod, but also eliminating any bitching about the selection.
