Maybe you don't understand this: It's his job to continue to ask questions and keep the person on the other side of the phone right there and talking to him until the authorities get there to help. When she asked if assistance was on the way he said it was already en route. When someone's life is in the balance, 911 operators are automatically targeted as "not being fast enough," when 95% of the time everything they did was textbook. And honestly if you think you can determine what someone's primary language is from a 4 minute sound clip where they're trying to deal with a frantic woman on the other end of the line, you better be a professional in linguistics, because I'll tell you something: in these kinds of situations almost everyone is going to stammer once, or continue to ask questions to get a clearer sense of the situation when the woman is mentioning things like chimps and guns in the same breathe.
