I think this is completely original.. haven't seen it any where yet. (not the both hand part, but the both hand drawing two portrait video part)
One of my MOST difficult projects... at first i had the idea of just drawing with my left hand, i figured that would be challenging enough.. but then a friend jokingly suggested that I should use both hands at the same time..... a sane person would laugh it off...
And I'm pretty sure it would have been even harder if it wasn't for years of starcraft multitasking training.. except it is a little like playing two opponent on two different computer at same time, one mouse each hand, constantly switching attention, pretty tiring after a while but darn good exercise...

I am speechless, How the hell in the world can you do that? you have to train your brain to multi task in such details, you must be incredible at starcraft with your supreme hand accuracy and multi tasking skill.

yes! i found another person with exact same looking hand, is left handed, and draw with exact same style that I do!
haha no practice.. it was pretty spontaneous thing like most of my art stuff...I wasn't 100% sure that I could do it and make it look good.. i was 95% sure tho.. I knew from the start it wasn't using my lefthand that is the problem, it's both at the same time, and keep at it for hours, but i made it through without going crazy.. yet.

no trick, just take it a little slower than usual and constantly switching attention between the two hands while keep both moving.. not gonna lie.. one of the hardest thing i have ever done. most of my drawings are relaxing to me.. this was pretty tiring.

well i put down some details first, then from those details it's easier for me to see where to put the next details etc..
omg dude that was insane. I tried doing something similar one time and my left hand just fell apart lol. Plus the whole switching your attention constantly while moving both hands simultaneously was so hard, often times, my left hand would just stop moving lol. But you handled it seriously well, if that was your first attempt, I would be scared to know what could come next.

hum, i was just checking the source video files when you said that, it actually only took me 2 and half hours.. first section is one and half hours, then I went out to eat with some friends cuz I was feeling a little insane about the whole attention switching thing, then i came back with a full stomach and did the smudging which took 1 hour. I mostly used my fingers to smudge cuz my lefthand can't control the tortilla (smudging tool) that well and apparently it wasn't necessary.

There is no way to describe how fucking cool that is. You don't see many ambidextrous people in your life, and having an ambidextrous artist on TL is pretty cool.
The fact that I can barely write my name in a straight line with my left hand, and that you can draw morgan freeman like he is a photo with your non-dominant hand is.. one of the coolest things I have ever seen in my life!

actually both hands are moving at the same time for the most part, sure there are moments when one of my hand forgets to move for few seconds, but they are mostly both moving. I make sure one hand knows how and where to move for the next few strokes while I focus on the other hand, hence the constant attention switch stated in the OP. Sometimes when one of my hand is about to draw something difficult like a specific curve, i would move my other hand to draw something simple like filling an area with shade that needs repetitive strokes. (for example when i was drawing Morgan freeman's mouth with my left, i move my right hand to draw the Tim's hair since it requires much less attention so i can better focus on left hand, actually if you watch the whole video you can see that when one of my hand is doing some defining my other one is always doing shading)
Of course I can't focus on two complicated curves at EXACTLY the same time, but both hands are moving...
If i alternate hands per second or per stroke the project would have taken wayyy longer than 2 something hours. just shading an area and have it look good would have taken too long since If i alternate I won't have any momentum like i could if i were to draw with just dominate hand... yet this project took me way less time than the time I would spent drawing two consecutive portraits with my dominate hand, alternating strokes is just not efficient.
what you guys dont know if that the pencil is actually the eraser. he just erasing the picture and put it backward. I dont get fooled easily by these kind of stuff since I am very smart. Usually an unintelligent person would be fooled. all you have to do is think for a little bit. good luck

How is that even humanly possible? I can't even draw something that resembles Freeman, let alone draw a photo-looking picture of two actors at the same time. This isn't from SC multitasking skills bro. This transcends that by a mile.

I heard of people like that, but i never seen a video else where of ppl drawing two portraits at the same time, that was all i'm saying. Definitely amazing people out there capable of doing this and better...

Because if there's at least small chance that it will feel naturally after some time, you just have to keep developing it. That's incredible skill, don't ignore it, man. Well I'm sure it is possible to get better at switch attentions constantly and not get tired (ie. progamer) but I'm not sure if i want to pursue that skill. It's not like I can ever really do two things at once, I can only focus on one complicated drawing motion at a time, while the other hand be in zombie mode doing some easy shading or pre-remembered strokes. But yeah, I'll think about what other applications this can have.

Well I'm not that ambidextrous, i can write somewhat but nothing like drawing. the truth is writing is way harder, it requires much more precision of control.

Haha thx , it always takes me a while to find good music for a video and I do adjust video speed to match the music.
there are way more talented ppl out there doing shit i can't even imagine, I'm still pretty new at drawing so i do have a lot to learn. In my spare time i always dig up other great artist's works and save them in my folder (like a squirrel scourging for food) and I stare at them and marvel at how good they are at random times... sigh..
