I'm pretty sure everyone does illegal shit. At least once a month if not more.
Be it stealing, fighting/picking fights, vandalism, skateboarding, drugs, downloading, parking, etc., etc.
I'm curious if there is anyone who visits this forum actually avoids everything illegal in any shape or form. Please explain yourself.
I myself always do illegal things. Not because I'm a rebel or whatever the fuck people wanna call it, but because I believe some things shouldn't be illegal in the first place, so I'm still gonna do them. There are lots of things that are really stupid that are illegal imo. Or just things that everyone does anyways and probably shouldn't be criminalized. I don't wanna be to specific, but there are tons of things.

My dad buys pirated movies (well atleast I think they're pirated). They have a lame card stock printout of the movie poster and blu-ray borders. It looks so half-assed, I can't believe my dad actually believes that piece of circular shit is high quality. He was watching it and he said "Dang this looks so clear, I'm gonna go get some other movies from that guy." The "guy" sold 3 "DVDs" for $10.
But being Asian, I guess it's only perfectly semi-normal. (Don't want to start any race wars, just that my family fits into all or most of the Asian stereotypes)

Correction: Anything that isn't an actual rights violation isn't a crime and should be tossed out. Enforceability is not really a good argument for defending something as being illegal/legal. So the things that should be illegal are things like murder, theft, etc. Things that should not are things like drug use, slander/libel, and so on.

Slander/libel aren't crimes though, they're civil torts. You can't be thrown in jail for slandering someone.
Copyright infringement is only a criminal offense in the US if you profit off it, distribute pre-release works (e.g., cam recordings of a movie in theaters), or exceed a retail value of $1000 in a 180 day period. Of course, any unauthorized downloading is "illegal" because you're breaking the civil statutes.

The only reason I do illegal things is because I don't feel what I am doing should be illegal in the first place. I understand it is against the law but I don't feel any remorse for what I do. I feel I have a very solid sense of what is right and what is wrong. If I feel what I am doing has no consequences on anyone but myself I don't feel it should be illegal.
As a general rule I do not break the law, but at the same time I follow what I believe is right more than what the law says I should do, fortunately my moral judgment tends to fall in line with the law.

In my time I have done a number of illegal things now that I think of it, I'm guilty of underage drinking, buying, dealing and consuming a number of controlled substances, a bit of shoplifting, many random acts of vandalism when I was a teenager, downloading music, films etc.

Decaf, it depends on state jurisdiction even in the states. I heard something about the 2 year rule if both minors are under 18 (they have to be within 2 years of age to sex). Lots of places its just straight up illegal because they don't want dumb ass teenagers reproducing and being a detriment to society.
Its impossible to enforce though until after the fact. Which is used just to set an example for other kids.

When you are becoming a lawyer, the thing you don't want to happen is getting into trouble with the law. Be it a serious infraction or just a minor thing (except for moderate speeding maybe), it can and most possibly will ruin your reputation, which is like half of your job. Therefore, I try to avoid anything criminal beyond small traffic rule infractions.

There was an interesting book that I don't remember what it was (or maybe it was a lecture/article, w/e), but it basically talked about the difference between the law and the legislation. There are a ton of things that are against the legislation, but aren't against what society accepts as the law.
One example that was quoted is driving above the speed limit. Even in good conditions, driving 5 mph over the speed limit is against the legislation, but people still feel it's unfair when they're pulled over for it because it isn't against what everyone accepts is the law.

As long as I am not hurting another person, I feel that I should be able to whatever I wish. That includes drugs and underage drinking in my own house. Other stuff like stealing and fighting is a definite no for me because that goes against my philosphy. But there are grey areas like downloading music and software where I still quiet haven't figured out yet. But I do go out and buy CDs of my fav bands after I dl them!

Cops sometimes threat you like shit, sometimes take your illegal drugs and do em themselves, etc.. Cops pull over their own family members and dont give em tickets just for fun... they sometimes break the laws and its ok because they are the law..

Other than that, I always try observe the law, due to the very nature of civic compromise inherent to a functional commonwealth.
p.s. I seem to have unwittingly broken a number of municipal laws in Bamberg, such as riding my bicycle at night without a light, and riding through the town center between dawn and dusk, which is apparently forbidden.

The system is such that it's 1000% impossible never to do anything illegal.
A simple example: you're not supposed to pass on a yellow light at an intersection, unless of course you're already past the line. But if you're very close to the line and the light turns yellow, it's impossible to break in time even though it's mandatory. So anybody who's ever driven a car past an intersection has 99.9999999999% chances of having been in infraction of the law at least once.
