Also if you get stabbed in the stomach, gg you, but if you get hit by the nunchuk , i dont think its a great deal of damage... its really situational. however i think that nunchuk are far more painful than knives :p

The range of the nunchucks isn't that great; you have one swing to signifcantly stun the knife user or you'll get slashed or stabbed. Not to mention that the knife user has the ability to guard with his other hand. Getting hit with a nunchuck probably hurts like a bitch but you're not going to be sent flying back. I don't see how nunchucks can prevent a guy on adrenaline from getting in close. Its kind of like golfing, you dont have to move the handle very fast, but the club head is really really fast. Nunchucks can also be used for defense i think? And getting hit with a nunchuck will do more than "hurt like a bitch" more like "immobilize whatever part of body was hit"

That's cuz in video games people don't die from 1 spear stab and can magically roll on the floor and dodge the spearhead. IRL spear is best. Long, good reach, fast retract, and all it take is one stab and ur done.

ORLY? http://www.mediafire.com/?6mz1cnzdzb7 [ Couldn't get that shit to upload to youtube for some reason ] If it was up to me I'd definitely pick nunchuks but only because I've had some medium training with them when I was really into Kumdo [ read: kendo ] and if you know how to use them and not just flail them around you could easily take out someone who's using a knife. One hit to the face and the knife user will either drop the knife or grab their face. Nunchuks to the face hurt more than perhaps anywhere on the body with a knife imo. [ except your balls or organs something ] Think about it, a solid piece of wood getting slung against your face or a knife wound to your arm.

Aside from this, I'd pick the nunchaku fighter for various reasons: First, on butterfly knives. They do not have have a two-sided blade, only one edge and an unsharpened swedge. This not only limits their stabbing potential, but also means that slashing attacks can only be done from one side per weapon. Also, butterfly knives rarely have a blade longer than 4-5 inches, which means they must get closer to make contact than a normal six-inch dagger. Butterfly knives are NOT throwing weapons. The best bet anybody would have is to do what Drone suggested and close the handles, then hurl it like a rock. As for nunchaku, a skilled user would probably just drop one before fighting. It's a two-handed weapon. Using two of any light weapon is more often than not going to decrease your effectiveness because you cannot use the leverage provided by your bodyweight on simultaneous attacks (and keep your balance, anyway). Nunchaku not only increase your contact reach a great deal more than a butterfly knife, it is also used for quick strikes from confusing angles. A real master using a pair can make attacks from very strange angles that are difficult to foresee and therefore harder to avoid. The last big reason I'd bet on the nunchaku is the stopping power. It's a fight to the death as said in the original post, so it's safe to assume that both fighters are pumping adrenaline. With the exception of hits on critical points of the body, the knifer is going to be only making superficial wounds that cause a lot of pain. Obviously, one of the major side-effects of adrenalie is that it suppresses your ability to feel pain, which would decrease the effectiveness of the knifer. The nunchaku have the potential to break bones and drive strikes back/away, and regardless of how strong you are with adrenaline pumping through you, you're not going to fight effectively with your main arm broken.
