Progressives will never buy his cars again. You can’t come back from a Sieg Heil. There’s this thing conservatives do where they literally can’t understand what it’s like to have values, only adversarial teams. They assume that everyone else supports their team and hates the other team purely because it’s the team. For them a fight between Trump and Musk must necessarily be problematic for progressives because they believe a progressive must now welcome either Trump or Musk onto their team. They consider this some kind of trap. They literally cannot understand that neither Trump nor Musk passes a value based judgement because they’re unfamiliar with the idea of values. They think we hated them both yesterday because yesterday they were the other team and that today something has changed. It hasn’t, we hate them for what they do. But you’ll never get a conservative to understand this because if they were capable of understanding values then they wouldn’t be a conservative in the first place. It’s the blind hatred of the other team that makes them a conservative, it’s in their core.

You have any sort of proof of that? I'm sure you can find a few morons on reddit that post such stuff but these were allways the hardcore Elon fanboys that followed him to Trump and will follow him wherever he goes.

oldheads may remember a saying from the old SC2 days - it was said back then even on stream, in spectacularly crude and outrageously cool fashion I might add - from one legend to another... one that has unfortunately left us way too soon a couple years back. "one simple truth, dicks fuck pussies"-2GD to Incontrol at some DH I understand trying to find an out for TSLA, the US will need everything they got to challenge Chinese EVs. but god damn Elon? at best tag him along and use him to burn Republicans. then stab him in the back, same way he did when he 180ed on them after he showed himself the opportunistic little piggy he is by entering Trump World and spending ungodly amounts of resources to get them on their good side. Elon suddenly stopping to tweet yesterday is a decent indication that "handlers" are already on the job anyway.

He may be a drug addicted conman and liar, greedy narcissist who lives off the government's teet and is an avowed white supremacist crypto Nazi, but he has standards, even someone like that can only stand working for and keeping his family around Trump for 11 months before outing him as a pedorapist so you know he can be trusted.

I will agree it’s nothing particularly impactful yet, but Christ the Democrat track record screams embracing Musk, he’s their two favorite things, a potentially Trump-opposing-conservative monster and a billionaire, they’re predisposed to want to love him. I think people still labour under the misconception that because the Dems are nominally 'centre left', that they would choose left wing people/ideas/policies over ones that come from the very far right. There's a brick wall between 'the left' and everyone else, and the Dems fall on the 'everyone else' side of it I broadly agree with this, but I think supporting Mr Seig Heil is gonna continue their trend of pissing off and disenfranchising their voting base for no good reason other than they love the taste of conservative dick in their mouth.

You have to know how a thing works in order to know what can and cannot be removed and Elon clearly knew very little. I've only done a cursory reading on what Clinton and Al Gore did, but it sounds a lot closer to what I would imagine such a process would be. Anyways, after his tech bros finished their drug-induced bender in what world can Democrats try and welcome Elon? Because that's who you are inviting in. Keep him the hell away from your party if you still want to make the case to the American citizens that Elon was incompetent and dangerous and was harming the federal government's ability to do its job. I wouldn't want him any where near the Conservatives up here, so that should be doubly true for the Democrats.
