You would think that the richest and the most powerful person in the world would have people around them going something of the lines of "Ok we got a strat for this, don't got full nuclear, trust me". But we are apparently in the unfiltered unhinged timeline of things

I really wonder what triggered it. I mean yea Elon got a raw deal all things considered. TSLA brand value diminished, weigh it against _probably_ a ton of federal data from the doge stooges for grok/XAi... and even more toothless regulation for his cars and FSD... now burning bridges with the guy that can cancel his privately owned enterprise's gravy train? very weird. timing wise did the stock tank before or after his tweets? so many questions, guess we will have to wait till the dust settles. or in Elon's case the ketamine wears off. if it did not already fry his brain permanently.

Shares in Tesla, Musk’s electronic vehicle company, fell almost 15% on Thursday afternoon with the decline timed to when Trump’s remarks began.

In a few days they will have always thought he was a Nazi.

Went from +2.5% annualized growth to -0.2% in one quarter. uhhh , so isn't the recession already here? In fairness to Trump its not like the economy was growing at 7% when he took over. However, the uncertainty around tariffs combined with the reality of the tariffs create a bad environment for economic activity. A 50% tariff on Canadian aluminum and steel are, in effect, an economic embargo. On the flip side of this, Canadians stopped buying American on a massive scale.

I need a hobby. Bit disappointed I might have to find a new one I think we’d all thought this was a possibility, indeed were hoping something like this might occur. However, I felt it would be akin to losing your balance on the delicate tightrope between these giant egos. Instead they’ve both gone like, one step and decided ‘fuck it, let’s jump into this chasm below’. I must confess I was wrong about Elon Musk. He is either dumber than I thought, more arrogant than I thought, or a bit of both. And I already scored him pretty high on those two metrics. I’m not sure how in the name of almighty Zeus Musk is winning this one, or why he thinks he is? I mean fuck me it’s hilarious, but what the fuck is he doing lmao? Trump is a man who’ll hold a lifelong grudge for anything other than 100% fealty at times, you’re going to Tweeting that Trump was on Epstein island territory? Really? Does Musk genuinely not realise that it’s a pre-condition for some of his newer fans that you have to gargle Trump’s bollocks? Or at least not be actively hostile. If Musk does manage to leverage this to his advantage, I’ll reconsider my perception of him yet again. He’d have to actually be some genius, because it sure as fuck doesn’t make any sense to me. Or maybe I’m the idiot here? Maybe my suggestion of a more sensible exit plan like ‘Hey we did great work together but I disagree with this tax bill’ is the moronic position.
