Interested to see the transcript, Seems to me like Biden will be the one in trouble here. How did you extrapolate that? It’s that much of a stretch for you? Were you around for the incriminating Biden videos a few months ago where he admitted blackmailing Ukraine officials? 1:30 in : https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=KCF9My1vBP4Washington post goes into it more with this article called ‘ The whistleblower complaint may end up being worse for Joe Biden than Trump‘.It’s best not to fight it, just accept we are witnessing the beginning of the end of Biden’s campaign. https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2019/09/24/how-whistleblower-complaint-will-affect-election/?outputType=amp&utm_source=reddit.comBiden is a fragile front-runner and the whole matter involving his son’s foreign business dealings not only raises unflattering questions but provides plenty of reminders about his life in the swamp. Trump, on the other hand, is exceptionally durable with his base, to say nothing of the fact that his entire presidency has practically been defined by his ability to outlive Democratic “witch hunts.” I'm curious as to how the transcripts of trump talking/begging Ukraine to look into a political rival is worse for Biden than it is for trump. Also, see the two above.

Well people expect it from trump, hes a "dirtbag" and he is more or less imune to the backlash from it (at least within his base). Now if biden turns out to be also "dirtbag" then thats a big problem for the democrats since biden wont be imune from the backlash. I also think this is more damaging for biden then for trump,as it stands now. Even if something comes out that would completely disqualify trump, then that still wouldnt be good for biden. He will still be stained.
And to gorsameth:there is a world outside the usa but it isnt any different. You see everywhere in the world that science and common sense means less and less when it comes to political decissions. People/organisations with certain interests fight popularity battles on social media and mainstream media for their ideas and vission of the world and they dont care anymore about the science or truth. Every social and economic issue has become a (rigged because professional lobby accounts participating) popularity contest on social media where truth and science play no part, its horrible and very worrysome.

Believablity falls when linking Russian state TV with an opinion piece and calling it doom and gloom for Biden not for what the principal complaint against Trump is about. One results an impeachment the other a finished canidacy.
Also the matter of the fired prosecutor relies on people not knowing that the prosecutor wasn't investigating his son only claimed he had after the fact. He was removed because between the IMF and the US they felt he was protecting Zlochevsky.
We might as well just post conspiracy pieces by Schweizer directly instead of derivative work based off his implications, this is just uranium one again. No actual links just percieved ones.

So this transcript seems to heavily implicate William Barr, who also happened to be the leader of the department that previously got the DNI to prevent the whistleblower complaint from going to the requisite committees even though by law the report was required to go since it was flagged as urgent. If nothing wrong was done here why would they block the whistleblower report like this, especially now that we can see that there was merit to it? This looks rather like a cover-up of sorts.
If this transcript is what the Trump team considers reasonable, I can't even imagine how much worse things are day to day.

Can someone explain how Gabbard qualifies for the 4th debate but didn't for the 3rd debate? Is it something to do with the debates being split in half?
|
I wonder if Trump followers will read the "full and redacted" "transcript" here and see the fine print on the first page that says it is not a transcript at all and yet is *still* an utterly terrible look for Trump (standard thug "I sure hope you do X...you'll start to do better I'm sure"). Nah, they'd rather believe their liar in chief.
Either way, this memo is a shot in the head to Barr. Preventing a whistleblower from telling Congress the President tried to get a foreign head of state to call you to cooperate on investigating a political opponent is a pretty bad look.

Debates 3 and 4 have the same requirements, X number of donors and 2% in 4 national polls. She hit one or both of these milestones for the 4th debate but not the third

If this transcript is what the Trump team considers reasonable, I can't even imagine how much worse things are day to day. Yeah so first of all, we have reason to believe the other conversations were worse than this one.
Remember: This conversation is not the only one. The whole point is that there were multiple similar conversations. Releasing this single (NOT VERBATIM) transcript means nothing. So not only is this clearly an attempt to draw attention away from something worse, this is also itself very bad. Trump is trying to do his classic "but if I admit to it, it isn't bad" in a situation where it does not help him.
This whole thing is spiraling out of control for the white house.

in what way is it out of control? do you have expectations this might work? that a republican held senate will actually be holding Trump accountable? sorry that’s a lot of questions.
else this looks just as in control from the WH as all Trump’s previous gaffes from where i’m standing. this is just appeasement from the house dems to their base. a meaningless gesture.
to compare it to Clinton’s impeachment, for instance, there had been at least an attempt at investigating from what little i remember. do you have even that expectation? to that end, i’d say Clinton’s was more out of control than this one. by a decent margin, but nothing too crazy i suppose.
the only consequence of either impeachment’s imo is simply that history will record the event since there have been so few (for now.) but personally history ought to remember worse things about this presidency than that, so i imagine this is barely a blip on the radar.
holding out hope i’m wrong though, for sure.

Interesting transcript. A bit embarrassing for Zelenskyy that this gets released, he's clearly using a flattery tactic to deal with Trump, mentioning a Trump tower stay, drain the swamp, calling him a great teacher and saying how great his plane is.
But yeah Barr's department illegally blocking congress from seeing a whistle blower complaint about something Barr is directly involved in...that's some blatant shit.
Also remember this question by Harris during Barrs hearing and Barr stumbling and dodging.

"not a transcript" is done because it's recorded live by a person taking it down without a recording they can review unlike a court stenographer. President's don't record things because of Nixon.
It should be counted as verbatim as possible but conveniently not, thanks nixon.

Ah ok. Well then that is fair. Still, where are the other transcripts?

in the past 3 years I think i've read 100+ articles about how "THiS tiME we GOt hiM hE wILl be imPeAched." really annoying that journalism has come to this. anyone who knows anything knows that if he is impeached before winning a second term, people on the fence and reticent conservatives will stick with the president knowing that this will screw up leverage in foreign policy and create a 'victim.'
while he has committed countless impeachable offenses, you cannot even broach this unless he is re-elected. if he is re-elected, expect the proceedings to begin immediately. for now it's just wapo, cnn and even fox trying to get more clicks. he will survive his first term by the skin of his chinny chin chin but he's not going to be in for 8 years quote me on that.
problem is there is no strong democrat so who really cares. if trump's presidency has taught me anything it's that it doesn't matter who the president is. i probably should have learned that in school but i used to revere the office of president of USA

Sending the complain after it got leaked, GG. How about informing the Intelligence committees on the classified justification for not following procedure and informing Congress about the whistle-blower complaint in the first place. Going to bet that one wouldn't look good for Barr either.

Patiently (not lol) twiddling my thumbs waiting to see if this document is redacted or not.

Right, but Schiff and others are not people I expect to cover for Trump and say "Ya know, it ain't so bad". If it is bad, they'll say so. Or am I missing something?
