Not ruling out muslim terrorist, but Allahu Akbar is not restricted to terrorists, it's used the same way we say "oh my god". Again: i agree it looks alot like "the usual culprit", but since we literally now nothing, that prejudice is quite disturbing.

Yeah, the pyrotechnics that get thrown around in Serbian stadiums sound like that on tv, much much louder in real life. 'Gunmen shouted Allah Akbar' Louis, inside the Bataclan, told France Info radio the men opened fire and shouted "Allah Akbar". He only saw silhouettes. He said: Quote The men came in and started shooting. Everyone fell to the ground. It was hell. I took my mum, and we hid. Someone near us said they have gone, so we ran out. I was only thinking of escaping. We're out now. I think people are still inside. It's a nightmare - a nightmare. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/france/11995227/Paris-shooting-Many-feared-dead-live.html

People jumping to a conclusion based on their own personal opinion about recent world events isn't that bad. Let's be honest. ![]()

I wrote the same comment under the thread regarding the CH massacre. This will continue to happen until we as western societies and the muslim minorities living in them honestly discuss muslim extremism and its legitimization via salafist ideology based on the muslimic holy book. We need to aim for a point where we can find a consensus where people say "hear young muslimic dude you shouldn't take this line in the koran literally you should rather see the totally different times and context in which it was written". This ideology still gets tolerated in our socities (by muslims and nonmuslims) despite its facist nature. Our societies should put the gloves off against these guys and stop allowing them to hide themselves behind the freedom of religion line. Freedom of religion doesn't mean freedom to facism and it doesn't mean to agitate the youth for violent means either. But I am sceptical I don't think that we are at a point where we can honestly discuss these things. Tomorrow we will hear the usual defense "these weren't muslims" brought up by politicians and people working for muslimic organisations. Of course they were muslims incited to kill inferior nonmuslims by other muslims in France and abroad. I fear a lot more people will die until we tackle these extremism in our societies.

A lot of this stuff comes from the news media being so desperate to get any information out there that they don't bother to fact check anything. They just send stuff out as fast as they received it. Rando number 15 heard "Allahu Akba" when it might not even have been close enough to hear anything. Add social media into the equation and its a wonder we know what day of the week it is any more.

Translated from French by Bing 3 shootings... Stay at home... Here or are the shootings... Apparently this is the location of things for those curious and not intimate with Paris like myself.
