I still have about 2-2.5 cups of pot butter left to cook with, but after that I'm going to be wanting to make some more. I make this butter with shake/trimmings and it actually turned out really well. Apparently if you are just going to make butter it is more cost effective to buy fresh trimmings instead of weed to make it with. Assuming the trimmings go for cheap enough, I can see this being true. How cheap would they need to be to become more cost effective than using actual bud though? This friend I made recently says he'll sell an ounce of trimmings for 25 (CAD). It's like 5-8x cheaper than an ounce of bud, but is it less than 5-8x as potent? Feedback? | ||

If they're good trimmings they will still be very potent. Take a handful of the clippings and examing them, they should be sticky, and most leaves should be pretty covered in crystals, just like you would expect the bud. I'd guess for baking purposes three to four ounces of good trim is about equal to an ounce of high grade bud. | ||
