The guys who write the show are satirical geniuses - one of the smartest shows on television. Rather than choosing sides (i.e.: being overly right or left wing) the South Park scripts make it a habit of attacking both sides and then showing how stupid everyone is for making a big deal out of (insert current media item here). The people who don't like the show are the people who watched it back when it was making a name for itself as a crude, braindead show running on shock-value, and never stuck around long enough to see it evolve into the kind of show it is today. Simpsons: None of the other shows above would exist without the Simpsons. Admittedly, I don't watch it that often anymore, but it still gets by on nostalgia value alone. When I do actually catch an episode, I always enjoy it and it's a nice feeling to see something new from a show I first started watching in the first grade. Futurama: I actually find Futurama to be funnier than The Simpons, yet still enjoy the Simpsons more. Futurama is original, witty, and always refreshing. Family Guy: A poor man's Simpsons. Actually, it's more Beavis and Butthead than it is Simpsons. But just like Beavis and Butthead, the routine gets old rather quickly. When Family Guy first came on, it was great. I think it was better off being cancelled after 3 seasons. The new episodes are only hurting the legacy as we sit here constantly reminded how mindless, meaningless, and stupid the jokes are. Few good shows get old as fast as Family Guy has. I mostly agree with the above, sometimes with these shows though you need a good reference of current culture in order to get all the jokes, something I am not perfectly in tune with. I like them pretty all and whenever I catch em on TV I watch it. The thing about being Bilingual also is I am able to Enjoy South Park and The Simpsons in French which is also a different experience, because they sometimes twist the jokes to our culture references.

Family, like the Simpsons, was good, but MacFarlane has simply run out of funny ideas, and just re-hashes old ones (either family guy, or simpsons jokes). in it's heyday, (Seasons 3 through 7 or so) the Simpsons was the greatest show ever made. imo simpsons "heyday" was season 8 (homer in NY, revolver and so on, best episodes ever, they are season 8, are they?)

Have u even watched any of the season 10 episodes? i'd suggest u download some of them, they're really really funny. South park is so good because they are basically criticising current things going on in the world with a very satirical sense of humour. If you like maddox, you'll like south park :o

I like futurama way better than family guy. They've obviously run out of material. Plus futurama was funny in a better way (like without being disgusting), and doesn't have dragged out moments of bad jokes like family guy. I like the simpsons better than family guy too, though they've also run out of material.. but they've been on forever. And like with futurama, it's bright moments are a lot better than family guys, and more frequent.

Futurama is kind of like a mix of simpsons and family guy.... maybe. Simpsons will rarely crack you up these days, but it does have its briliant moments. Like when they parody king of the hill and tetris. I rofled so hard. which reminds me, no one mentioned king of the hill lol. King of the hill is actually funny once in a while, unlike american dad. Heres tetris one lol.
