![[image loading]](http://www.manga-news.com/public/images/vols/the-arms-peddler-2-ki-oon.jpg) About a week ago I posted a thread about another manga, and I really wanted to share this one as well because I think its quite a bit under appreciated. I hope enough time has passed that it wont be considered as spam or something.
So this is Kiba no Tabishounin or The Arms Peddler. The story is set in a wall-less, post apocalyptic world. It is unknown what has happened but almost all technology is lost. Mythical monsters, strange creatures and bands of thugs rule the world. The setting is a strange mix between Fist of the North star, Claymore, Berserk and some western movie.
One of the main characters is a boy, whos family has just been brutally killed by a band of thugs. He is left barely alive, so that he could serve as an example. A passing weapons dealer gives the boy a choice - to die peacefully or continue to live in this harsh and cruel world by his own power.
I was recommended this manga at some forum, because I really liked Claymore and I really really liked this one as well. So basically if you like Claymore and/or Berserk, you should also love this.
You can read it here
Thats about it. I hope at least some of you like it as much as I do

I actually accidentally came across tabi last week! It's a very nice surprise and the plot has great potential. Please check it out

Stop using online readers. This is why the fan translation community is getting into trouble with publishers and we keep getting C&Ds which have shut down more than 90 projects in the last year. Go to the fan translation's website and download it there or download it through their IRC channel via XDCC. This manga is translated by BRS at edit: woops old website, you can use www.mangaupdates.com to find other manga translation groups
Also I don't think you need a thread for such a small manga, you can just use the Anime Discussion Thread for general manga.

The manga seems great. I like reading about new manga here. Every recommendation in general has been good so far. I dont want to read through 500pages of boys talking about mika-chan and fanservices so... Maybe we need a manga thread.

I enjoyed it. Shame it only has a few chapters out. Feel like we've barely touched the surface.

Well the KPOP thread isn't gonna get any better because you refuse to post in it. If you want to change the content, then do it. But I do agree that we might need a Manga Discussion thread.

Online readers do not pay anything to the fan translation website. They take the translation, host it on their reader website, and reap the benefits.
Fan translation websites depend on the traffic and donations to keep translating.

Batoto gives their advertisement revenue to their translators from what I hear, which is why a lot of them upload and link to the site themselves. I personally despise Mangafox and Mangareader (they're owned by the same people) for fucking over the communications between the A-team group and the author of The Breaker, when they were discussing a partnership that would've been a key step towards legitimizing online English translations.
OT: I've loved the artists previous work, I really like his style, but I'm not much of a fan of the writer unfortunately, a lot of his works just seem to be the same thing. Still, worth a read, especially if you're a fan of post-apocalyptic dystopian fiction. Not quite sure if it's worth a thread to itself though.

You can read manga on batoto.net, they share ad revenue with the scanlators and present the manga in full quality.

This is a really good manga. The drawings are good, love the style. The story and the atmosphere are really nice too. + Show Spoiler +I didn't really enjoyed the part with the vampires, but before and after it was a pleasure to read. I just bought the volume 6. I'll let you know

The plot in chapter 1 is formulaic but whatever, I'll keep reading

I never knew those stuff about the online readers. I guess I will be changing my manga reading habits a bit. Anyway Im glad some of you are liking this manga

Seems interesting, but to be honest you might as well post in the anime discussion thread. If we can discuss VNs, we can discuss manga (and we do)...
|
I didn't think I would like this after seeing the cover. But it satisfied an itch I had for a cross between Kurohime and Berserk.

I love these manga threads, thank you very much for this.
I will certainly check this out in the very near future.
