At the 1995 Computer Game Developers Conference, TIE Fighter earned Totally Games the "Honored Developer Award."[citation needed] TIE Fighter became the second Lawrence Holland game to be inducted into Computer Gaming World's "Hall of Fame",[4] and was inducted into GameSpot's "Greatest Games of All Time" in July 2004[5] and IGN's "Hall of Fame" in 2007.[8] PC Gamer ranked TIE Fighter Collector's CD-ROM #1 in its "Top 50 Greatest Games of All Time" list in its May 1997 issue,[9] and #13 in April 2005.[10] In its 2007, 2008 and 2010 "Top 100 PC Games of All Time" lists PC Gamer would rank it #49, #63 and #73 respectively.[11][12][13] It was ranked #3 on IGN's list of the top 25 PC games of all time in 2007 and #2 in 2009.[6][7] It was ranked #11, #9 and #12 on IGN's "Top 100 Games of All Time" lists in 2003, 2005 and 2007 respectively.[14][15][16] The game was recognized by IGN once again in 2010, when it was named the best Star Wars game ever made.[17] In March 2004, GMR magazine rated TIE Fighter the second best Star Wars game of all time.[18] PC Zone named it the #58 "Best PC Game Ever" in 2007.[19]
