No Pokemon, no Ocarina, no Mario Kart?
(Not Nintendo biased, I'm just familiar enough with their part of gaming's history to know how high-selling, influential and fun those games were)
I'm glad CoD and Wii Sports are on there because they are equally important to gaming no matter your opinion.

I agree about System Shock 2, that's a just disappointing :/.
As for the list, they're missing some really good games (like OoT) and I'm sad that Bastions not on there, but there are a few other good games I can vote for.

Considering how landmark sim city was, it's sad that there's no entry.

Turns out 100 is a pretty small number. There's always arguments about which entry in a series should be included. I think Half Life was a better game than the sequel (they were both awesome),I LOVE FF12 more than any other.
But its kinda hard to do a top 100 list and exclude Ocarina of Time.
Also good to see NBA jam on there. BOOMSHAKALAKA.

There are obviously way more than 100 great games that have been made. Not everything can be on the list!! It's not really just our personal favorites, though that might/can play a role in it. For instance, how many people here on TL have ever player Star Wars:Tie Fighter? No? Well i'm not surprised, considering how it was made in 1994 and is a flight sim. Though if you look at it both from an analytical and critical perspective, this game was far supeior to its immediate predecessor X-Wing, but it was also in the flight sim category, one of the best games made a the time. Even today it is still widely accepted as one of the best. Don't believe me? Here's an excerpt from the critical acclaim section from it's wiki, just to give you an idea on who's said what. + Show Spoiler [tiefighter] +At the 1995 Computer Game Developers Conference, TIE Fighter earned Totally Games the "Honored Developer Award."[citation needed] TIE Fighter became the second Lawrence Holland game to be inducted into Computer Gaming World's "Hall of Fame",[4] and was inducted into GameSpot's "Greatest Games of All Time" in July 2004[5] and IGN's "Hall of Fame" in 2007.[8] PC Gamer ranked TIE Fighter Collector's CD-ROM #1 in its "Top 50 Greatest Games of All Time" list in its May 1997 issue,[9] and #13 in April 2005.[10] In its 2007, 2008 and 2010 "Top 100 PC Games of All Time" lists PC Gamer would rank it #49, #63 and #73 respectively.[11][12][13] It was ranked #3 on IGN's list of the top 25 PC games of all time in 2007 and #2 in 2009.[6][7] It was ranked #11, #9 and #12 on IGN's "Top 100 Games of All Time" lists in 2003, 2005 and 2007 respectively.[14][15][16] The game was recognized by IGN once again in 2010, when it was named the best Star Wars game ever made.[17] In March 2004, GMR magazine rated TIE Fighter the second best Star Wars game of all time.[18] PC Zone named it the #58 "Best PC Game Ever" in 2007.[19] With all those critical acclamations for this game, how is it not on this list? I think that's pretty easy to surmise why that is the case. I played TIE Fighter and X-Wing (which came out before it). But yes, you're points are valid

I am surprised at the lack of MOBA games. Either DotA or LoL should have been included.

Originally I was going to vote for starcraft...
But then I saw ultima online which brought back more memories and fun then I ever had in a mmo to this day, so how could I vote against it?

No Baldur's Gate means this poll is not serious...

"Why do people still play Counter-Strike today, more than 13 years after its debut as a Half-Life mod? Probably because no other game has matched the simple suspense of a four-on-four, single-elimination shooter with fairly realistic gun recoil and damage."
Uhh... four-on-four, right... yeah.
