The are plenty of still playable 90s games. On the computer, Baldur's Gate II, Starcraft and Alpha Centauri come to mind. Oh how nuts I would go for an Alpha Centauri revamp ....

I can't say that I'm familiar with every game on that list, but I agree with people here that if your list of top 100 games does not include Ocarina of Time and Half-Life then I think you need to rethink your metric. To the lowest order Half-Life should at least be on the list before Half-Life 2.

Now that I think about it, the metric probably doesn't include as much of a weight on revolutionary as I would.

Speaking from experience i don't like playing PC games made before 1994 anymore but am fine with playing SNES & Megadrive onwards in regards to consoles.Like i said before i enjoy asteroids which came out in 1979 as with these early arcade games you can just jump in and play them without having to spend hundreds of hours levelling to 85 with best gear in world of warcraft or whatever.I'm older with more responsibilities so i don't have as much time for these long games that you play for hundreds or thousands of hours anymore.

I don't understand where Half-Life went. The game which is generally concidered the best game, and absolutely the best FPS, ever. How can you have a "best games" list covering even the 70s and somehow forget to include Half-Life? Seriously?

Silent Hill 1 is included and Silent Hill 2 is not included? Sonic the Hedgehog 1 is included and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 isn't? Also NO ZELDA GAMES?! Nvm they got the first zelda game, but seriously, that was not the best one. The first Mario bros wasn't the best one either...

Where's Fallout, Planescape: Torment, Baldur's Gate 2, Freespace 2, Ocarina of time, Master of Orion 2, Heroes of Might and Magic 3, Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri, Jagged Alliance 2, Mario Kart, Half-Life, Super Mario Galaxy?

I played not even half of these titles, still I know about them.

Why GTA 3?

Why is there trivial stuff like Desktop Tower Defense, Angry Birds or Wii Sports, which will never make it into any final?
