Saying which game is best in a cross-genre poll is really hard to do. If they wanted to select the best game ever it wouldn't be done by a poll as player fan base is way to significant an issue. I put a vote in for Okami because it made me sad to see where it is. That game is amazing and I loved everything about it. Because this whole thing is Time butt in something they have about zero knowledge of and pretending they are some sort of authority, which is disgusting. If IGN make a "100 most influential people" list everyone would be going WTF??! And IGN knows more about influential people than Time knows about video games

brings games to the masses of casuals. People on this forum must realize there are people out there who never touched games for the majority of their lives until Angry Birds

Ah yes, but it's okay we have Solitaire in the 1990s. A card game. Yes, I played the Windows version back on my 386/486 and even in later years as did millions of people, but it's not a video game proper worthy of a list such as this. Not sure why Chrono Trigger has 40% "No Way" votes either. The holy trinity of Square RPGs is FFVI, Chrono Trigger, and FFVII. It's a shame that FFVI, the best, didn't make this list and that CT is barely holding on. No love for 16-bit RPGs?

But I'll be damned if I don't acknowledge its claim as the greatest video game of all-time by more publications and fans than any other game.
