It is a well known fact that East Asians (more specifically Chinese, Korean, Japanese) get the shaft more than white folks due to Affirmative Action at the top schools. It is called 4x over-representation, which translates into reverse-AA for East Asians.
Minorities only get an edge if they are an URM (Under Represented Minority), but if they are over-represented, ... yeah, pretty self explanitory.
Oh yeah, South Asians are also over-represented (Asian Indians, etc)

Exactly, which is why the raced based AA is flawed, in my opinion. A rich black kid has more in common with a rich white kid than a poor black kid. And the poor white kid has more in common with the poor black kid than his rich black peer. Socioeconomic background is the more dominant factor, for sure. That is why the race based AA came about in the first place -- because Jim Crow really held down the black man so most black families came from the low end of the socioeconomic ladder. But why not, as I see it, just simple attack the problem of socioeconomics head on? Oh well.
