when i first found these places i played 10+ hours a day...but that wasn't really healthy at all so i've cut back considerably and only play when they have 10/20 or higher big games now

EDIT: Another question, when do you walk away from the table? If your up like 12k why not say to yourself "Ok I'll keep playing until I get back down to 6k then stop." I know its kinda hard in no limit because it can all go in one hand but seems like its better to have a stop point.

Is that a commen thing, and is that like a real rule or just like a unwriten rule just to be nice? Also anyone picture these korean guys like smoking cigars and having scars and eye patchs on there face lol. if you don't do it, no one has any hard feelings at all. it is 100% unexpected. its common in this place atleast...especially to someone thats down a lot, it doesn't happen as much as i made it seem maybe, but 50$ give backs happen a lot, 500$ is rare. one time a rich ass gangsta mofo tried to give me 1,500$ back, which i refused 100%. i said "i would never give that so i'm not gunna take it" --- i think he respected that and if someone gives you 50$ back, next time you win a pot vs them you better give them 50$ back atleast or you're never going to hear the end of it. most of them smoke cigarettes and some smoke cigars

me? i can walk away whenever i want. i'm a part of that game now fucking demanding that these old mofos drink whiskey with me...i'm not like the canadian from my first story. If i had to leave right afterw inning a 10k pot they would not be angry cuz they know i always come back the next day if they call me. but in general i give people 1 hour warning before i leave out of courtesy and if by 'stop point' you're talking about for the money. why would i have a stop point if i feel i am better than everyone there? that makes no sense. time spent at the table = money in the long run. never going to quit just cuz i lost all my profit. though sometimes i do quit if i'm down a lot because it does effect my game

Maybe you were better off losing $$. Side Note: What was you drinkin in Korea.. like.. what is their "cool drinks" over there? Did you even read the end of the story? They are cool with each other, he is a profession poker player, and he helps rek get into games. I dont think he would've screwed him over.
