on one hand the 808 pales in comparison with the 810/820, exynos, not to mention the a9. rumored 2gb for ram doesn't exactly sit well with me either. on the other I can't get past the day1 os upgrades. anyone know if the sony z5 or the s6 have good rom development?

The z5 hasnt even been released so i would say no but it will have decent once it releases. Samsung phones always have good rom development because if you know how to flash roms i doubt you would want to stay more than 1 day in lagwiz The 810 its a terrible processor tho, it throttles to the point its even slower than the 808 (unless One + or any other company managed to create a phone cool enough to keep the 810 from reaching such high temps then keeping the CPU from throttling that much, which would make it a very good choice, but yet to be seen), the 820 its still in the air but its supposed to be faster, cooler and much more efficient than the 810... but then again everything new its supposed to be better The exynos and the A9 are beasts tho, but i dont like the feel or look of Samsung phones and i dont like iOS

Would you consider the 6S? For me it costs the same as the N5X except I have to pay for the rest of the device if i try to break my contract early which I don't plan to since the last few S phones have had about 4 years worth of support.

I had the first couple iterations of the iPhone I'm really tired of ios and the overall aesthetic I loved the design of 4 and I'm convinced that was the greatest iPhone product Apple's ever released.

For example, I pay $16 a month for 100 min, 100 text, 500 mb of data (i use wifi mostly). $400 + 16 a month for 2 years = $784 2 year contract with iPhone or S6 = $100 up-front + around $70 a month = $1780 Big difference. Contracts are rip-offs

D: Contract plans will at least give you unlimited texting. The overall difference between a 2 year contract and a normal Edge or w/e plan is a couple hundred dollars over the life of the plan. The bigger deal is the rigidity, imo.

The bigger deal is the rigidity, imo. You can add more minutes / data / text by paying a little more. I'm just giving you an example of what I use. If you want unlimited everything, you can go Straighttalk or Net10 which will still be a lot less per month ($40 a month) For example, I can add 100 more minutes for $3 additional dollar a month, or $9 more a month and add another gig of data. Off contract gives you that flexibility at a MUCH better price. I just happen to always be at school or home 90% of the time, where I use free wifi constantly.

And I also avoid paying cancellation fees for canceled contract or deal with locked carriers / carrier bloatware and all that excessive crap.
