At that price point and size i still think the Nexus 7 2013 its the best choice, it might not be the powerhouse it once was but still.. you can find them for 150 or less, it has lollipop, and rumours are that its bound to get Android M the other choice is search for a used Nexus 9 or a Shield tablet if you can put a little more money

LG G4 or Samsung Galaxy S6? I hear good things about both of them but can't decide since I'm totally newb to the smartphone stuff. I'm currently leaning towards LG (a bit cheaper, larger screen, newer Android although a bit worse processor).

Better battery life (not by a lot, but still) and cheaper. LG software isn't so bad either

Can't speak for the G4 but the Galaxy S6 comes with a lot of ridiculous bloatware that you can't uninstall, only disable. Quite frankly I think it's unacceptable for a flagship phone.

Both the G4 and S6 are great phones and the best way to pick between them is to go into a store and try each of them out. The buttons on the back of the G4 are a feature you'll either love or hate.

The LG sounds great tho, but i just cant go back to non pure android phones... And by the way, the lower cpu its just meh, my X2014 still handles everything lighting fast and without any lag, its an Snapdragon 801, at this point i think theres not much difference between cpus anymore, all of them are plenty fast... I went from a Moto G to the Moto X and in terms of speed the difference was pretty negligible.
