Sorry if this is more tech support (let me know):
1) My nexus 4 phone has always been working fine, I like it, and I haven't installed much on it apart from starting software, but recently it has started losing batteries at like twice the speed.... It seems like it is related to google talk doing things in the background according to the battery settings. I uninstalled all updated to google chat (which is annoying, as I use it), and it went back to normal battery use (so it is software related), but it auto-updated within a couple of days, and the battery lifetime changed accordingly. :/ Anyone has encountered something similar or know how to fix it?
2) google maps wont use my GPS unless I also accept that it uses background location. I switched of a lot of background things when I cleaned up for the battery issue, and now when I go to google map settings, I could in earlier version tell it to use only GPS, GPS and signal strength, etc. In latest version I can't control that any longer, and the only options are "everything off" (no location at all on maps) or everything on, including background data. I Want maps to use GPS and maybe signal strength when I am using maps, but stay away from background tasks... Possible? :o

Yep. My Moto X just hums along perfectly. I've been tempted to try the 6S when it comes out but honestly I see no reason. This is the first time I've had an Android phone that's kept up its performance and hasn't had any choppiness over time. The camera isn't great but the gesture activation is quite good, and the smart unlock is underrated and nice.

The new OnePlus 2 looks promising, as long as they can tweak their OS so that the battery life improves.
I'm also excited about the new Nexus phones

i wonder if the reason behind nexus not selling well its
A) lack of advertising
B) advertising that make them look that only higher individuals can access one
C) lack of worldwide access to a Nexus (here you cant get nexus unless you order them from USA and at that point the price its about the same as a flagship phone)
D) lack of access in mobile operators making them kinda niche
E) all of the above

Preordered the Edge+ this morning. They offered me insurance at 15 pounds a month which would cover basically any damage except intentional damage. In the past I've always turned down these offers since I've never broken/lost a phone but there's always that first time and the new Samsungs are all quite slippery. I also am planning to go without a case because of how beautiful these phones look. 15 pounds a month is a lot though. Thoughts?

ive never used a case or glass
premium phones should not be killed with glasses or cases, i even bought one for my Moto X, could not handle it more than 3 hours
almost a year and not a single scratch

I've never cracked a phone's glass and I've never lost a phone, but that doesn't mean it couldn't happen this time. 15 pounds is quite a bit though

Snapdragon 810, 3700mah, 3gb RAM, 5.4inch, QHD screen, etc...
I would say its the new moto maxx

My MotoX fell 4 inches onto it's corner, screen cracked, phone dead a week later. Now I have a MotoG and love it hahah (Due to the recommendation of someone in this thread).

Google will unveil two new Nexus phones: a regular sized Nexus made by LG and a phablet Nexus made by Huawei at an official event on September 29th in San Francisco, according to CNET. Keep in mind that while this does seem to be confirmed by inside sources, we still have not seen an official invitation for the press by Google.
Google is traditionally unveiling a new Nexus phone each year to showcase the pure, stock version of Android, but this year it will unveil not one, but two devices in various form factors. Both new Nexus phones will run on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Any guess on what n5 2015 will cost?
I got the ASUS zenfone to play with for now, but I miss my nex5. If its anything more than 300, I just might stick with zen though.
