She says a guy like him wouldn't be on that side of town. His court hearing is later today. Perhaps family issues, i.e. he got cut off? His mom sure didn't seem surprised when she got a phone call saying her kid killed 12+ people...

Yeah, that really blew my mind to read, too. It makes me wonder if he had been hinting at doing something violent but wasn't taken seriously enough for the police to have been contacted. If the reports that his mom immediately knew that he had been involved in the shootings are true, she must have had a pretty strong hint that he was up to something.

Or she could just be a really shitty mom.

With the gunman captured alive, you can rest assured there will be a civil suit against him for hospital bills (at the least) Quit being so goddamn ignorant. There are plenty of organizations in the US that provide assistance to victims of violent crime.

I can't stop thinking about the wounded and their friends and family. At this point, all I can do is pray. Bring them peace, bring them joy, bring them home.

It isn't truly terrorism yet because we don't know why he did it. If it turns out that this maniac shot up a theatre because 'Obamacare is ruining the country,' or something, then it would be terrorism. Of course, I learned that definition when I was 14, so it could be inaccurate.
