Because all the investing done in green energy from Obama has been one big scandal to fill the pockets of his campaign donors. Solyndra, case and point. How terrible, the end result could possibly be more green energy and less reliance on oil. Oh the horror. How terrible, the end result was investing in green energy with it failing. But wait, it wasn't a complete failure because these green energy companies made off with a lot of money and they just so happened to be Obama's friends. That goes down as a loss-win for Obama if his goal is to actually help the American people. At least he won something, right?
Also a double standard in the eyes of some that he wants to remove investment (tax cuts) from Exxon mobile 2.5 billion and give 90 billion to green energy.
But as I said earlier, he can argue the role of governement is to steer society in a given direction, but that wouldn't be to popular in the USA I would think.

I didn't even read your comment, I responded to your suggestion that people can't be racist against their own race.
I think Romney started off strong this debate. He got the first several points but slowly fell apart. Tortoise and the Hare type of debate, with Obama coming from behind.
When it comes to the points, I put Romney as the winner of this debate. When it comes to appearance, Obama.

the entire debate is pretty much moot on the government stuff, the economy stuff. the healthcare thing is the only mover, so to speak. obama said vouchers like 5 times and that's enough to at least call it even.

In germany it's completely the same :D not only an american issue.

8-4, Romney. That's because he got the last word lol. He can say anything he wants and he can't get countered. He pretty much did say anything he wanted. Politico having a field day.
I think the closing was emblematic of the debate: Romney didn't say a single positive thing about what he would do, only hypotheticals about how Obama was going to cause everything short of nuclear war.

Romney did a great job this debate by completely changing his platform from what it was when he was last out on the campaign trail.
|
When MSNBC says the Republican won, how can you even argue the fact?
|
Romney just doesnt seem willing to commit to anything, preferring to attack Obama rather than talk about himself.
|
Romney clearly won. It wasn't even close. I'm not surprised either. I'll write more in a bit.

I understood what he wants to do.. but seriously this will never do any good. Bad schools get no kids? Or just the poor kids? Whos rating how?... The idea behind it is that poorer children can go to more affluent schools if they choose to. It prevents richer neighborhoods from having significantly better schools than poorer neighborhoods and telling those poor kids they can't go to the better school. It allows the poor families choose to send their child to the better school. the question i think people have is how are these kids getting to these better schools? generally the same way they get to their school now. it's pretty advanced in the state of wisconsin, my niece goes to a charter school. my aunt and uncle picked it because it teaches some of the material in spanish and they want her to be bilingual. it's a solid program if you ask me.
Okay, well i live in a city in California, we have highschools in my city because we have a decent size population. I went to North highschool despite the fact that West highschool had better programs, if i was able to attend west, how am i to get there? we dont have a good buss route, if im poor and dont have a car i cant walk the 10+ miles to get to the other school when my school is only one mile away. There is a logistical problem to getting to better schools for the poor

Now, lets see if the rest of us wise Americans can see that.
If Romney wins, we screwed.

Politifact, who usually favors Obama in truth-telling, seems to think Romney is telling more truth than Obama in this debate.

It's a lot easier to 'interview' for a job than to defend the job you did.
Of course Romney won.
