the funniest thing is that there really seem to be people against "obamacare" and Romney points with taking that money into military...

xD

thats so fucking stupid that some people really would support that. keep the shitty healthcare we had since ever and buy some guns, fuckyeah!

8-4, Romney.

That's because he got the last word lol. He can say anything he wants and he can't get countered.

Both of them seem pretty terrible in terms of adhering to debate/debate skills as well as their actual arguments lol.

welcome to american politics, where %95 (that's probably low balling it) of the time you will see a politician avoid the question that was asked, and then segue to an answer of a question that wasn't asked.

This was the domestic policy debate. Foreign policy will be the third one (after the VP debate).

Listen to David Gregory of MSNBC: Romney took control of the debate and Obama decided to stay above the fray. Obama may not like that decision.

I still say we institute the British style of floor debate for Prime Minister's Questions type of shit for presidential debates. I'd watch it every day.

Nothing about foreign policy or their plans regarding terrorism and iran, a bit disapointing.
Maybe they will touch on this a next debate.

Ah nvm, i see now.

school choice.

think amazon.com customer feedback. but for schools.

I understood what he wants to do.. but seriously this will never do any good.

Bad schools get no kids? Or just the poor kids? Whos rating how?...

The idea behind it is that poorer children can go to more affluent schools if they choose to. It prevents richer neighborhoods from having significantly better schools than poorer neighborhoods and telling those poor kids they can't go to the better school. It allows the poor families choose to send their child to the better school.

Wouldn't housing/ transportation be kinda an issue? The reason they're in a low income area is the price of housing is low. Allowing students to go to schools outside their cachment isn't truly a choice for low income people only for the affluent.

That's ok, they can take the public transpor.........oh yeah, we wanna cut that too...

Mostly a wash in my view. I think Romney had to make up some ground and didn't really do it. I think Romney was better prepared/more aggressive, but not enough to close the gap.

The problem is even though Obama looked less polished, I feel that he still came off as more human and, more importantly, more likable. And being likable is huge for winning Presidential elections.

the question i think people have is how are these kids getting to these better schools?

generally the same way they get to their school now.

it's pretty advanced in the state of wisconsin, my niece goes to a charter school. my aunt and uncle picked it because it teaches some of the material in spanish and they want her to be bilingual. it's a solid program if you ask me.
