Yeah. Come to think of it, the Obama campaign didn't do much to attack Ryan.

If you look at Krugman, for example, he's been blasting Ryan for years now. It's almost like a personal obsession for him. I think some of those attacks would have been very effective, if the campaign decided to use them.

Capital Gains. He's paying some.

I said 'much,' not 'none.'

and taxes on investments were nerfed a while back, no?

Oh, man, I sincerely hope that when my generation is 50+ years old we start demanding buffs and nerfs from congress.

Hehe, I can just see a Republican president carrying around a nerf-bat.

And for those wanting a stream, here is a fox one:

Obama's car just pulled up.

I lost so much respect for the Republican Party for passing on this opportunity:

Maybe he touches the same nerves with Krugman he touches with me. Just this feeling of intense loathing that I can almost, but not quite rationalize.

Fox, saying there never was hate on Nate in the first place. It was just the choice of polls, that's all.

We really need to fully legalize gambling. I miss poker and would love to be able to place a bet on whether or not the Beckham's first born would score the winning goal in the world cup or win a Grammy.

Plus the revenue!

I voted for Obama both times but I like McCain. He seems reasonable, nice, friendly, of course he looks like and old man in his 80s but I think I genuinely like the guy and he says what he means and doesn't really lie, least as much as every other policitician lol.

edit: If McCain ran again in 2016 I would actually consider voting for him over Hillary or something, not sure but I'm glad hes a republican, maybe he can get some sense back into his party.

2000 era mcain would have had my vote this year.

Same lol.

so in other news, Puerto Rico voted yes on statehood.

they had two votes. one was 'do you want to maintain the current status with the USA,' which appears to be passing with a 'no' majority.

the second vote has the options, with statehood receiving 64%.

We're gonna need a new flag...

I think any Republican presidential candidate from the past 8 years that was a plausible contender in a primary cycle (except this current one, terrible options) would have beaten Obama this year. Well, obviously not Bush because he couldn't be running, but you get my point.

With the odds you could get on him earlier in the night I would have placed on on Romney in Florida too. It was for sure +EV

Requires Congressional approval.
