I don't get why it's being called socialized. That's just politics. This is about personal responsibility.
You should only get health care if you're paying for it. Problem is people don't want to until they need it, and there are people getting treatments and I'm paying for it. So if everybody can use it, everybody should pay for it.
Plus how else are we supposed to offset the cost of seniors? Have the healthy & young (like me) pay into the pool when we don't need it, and then when we do need it we've already paid our dues and everybody is covered. And when I say the government, I'm completely fine with whatever organization does this as long as they're non-profit -- it just seems like the gov't is the only one big enough.
