That's why traditionally you bring a huge thing of tofu to someone who just came out of prison in Korea (--v)

Do vegetarians that don't eat meat for ethical reasons value all walks of life equally? Do they trap mice, swat flies, slap mosquitos, or smash spiders? If so, I think that's rather hypocritical. Soy protein includes all the amino acids, but they arent complex branch chain amino acids, or something like that. I looked it all up once, and finally found the truth after all the soy hype. Soy is good for you, very good, however it is NOT meat. And meat has complex amino acids already combined in such a form that your body can assimilate it much faster, and much more effeciently. Many of the amino acids on soy just pass through having to be ... ah fuck it i dont feel like explaining it to your stupid ass friend. He's wrong. In fact soy protein can promote estrogen, which is why theyre talking about breasts. But not much estrogen (all men have a certain amount of estrogen content), and not enough to ever be concerned about. He should eat a few more things than tofu and rice, but otherwise im sure he's healthy, and he can continue gorging on tofu all he likes. EDIT: oh yea, humans did not evolve from chef monkies who knew how to cook. Our bodies were developed with the intention of eating off the land. Unless you can eat a bloody raw deer carcass with your bare teeth and hands (assuming you could somehow kill a dear or cow bare handed), you were never designed to eat it, not to mention the taste which is a natural indicator of whats good and whats not. The only reason people like meat is because of McDonalds. Nuts, fruits, berries, vegetables, bark, dirt, these are the things man was meant to consume. They taste ok to great coming right out the ground, and are fully survivable and plentiful at that. We have molars people, not fangs. Our sharpest teeth are only meant for biting into an apple.

If a vegetarian chooses that lifestyle because they hate that animals are slaughtered, would it not make sense that they shouldn't kill helpless mice, spiders, or flies either?

Hey Fuddx, I thought that you would need to eat a variety of vegis to get the protein content that meat has as well. However, my friend insisted that tofu provided ALL the essential amino acids needed by the body and he showed me this site http://www.solaeliving.com/faqs/index.jsp Can you please ask your wife if this is true or not? Thanks!

Steak tastes so good, nothing compares to it. There's other nice food, but steak's the one with the best taste in the world, just take the most expensive one and make sure it's pretty bloody... hmmm yes. I usually just see eating as a part of surviving ... nothing more, but damn steak tastes so good. Nothing wrong with eating meat, animals eat meat, why shouldn't we ? I'd say it's a pretty natural form of food.
