Just like how a Honda Civic is the same thing as a Lamborghini, and a point-and-shoot is just as good as a high end DSLR, and a $400 laptop is no different to a top of the line gaming rig.
All of those things at least have some form of use-value (well, the Lamborghini not so much). Read Baudrillard
And if you want, I'm sure you can find hardcover editions of his books for twice the price, that way you can still waste some money!
A $2,000 leather jacket from Blackmeans has objectively more 'use-value' than a $200 """""leather"""""" jacket from Guess. The same principles that apply to all luxury or upscale goods apply to clothes as well.
EDIT: I'm not arguing that all expensive clothing is worth its price tag, it simply isn't. However making a blanket statement like "$100 department store jackets are no different to X designer product" is ignorance that anyone who wears mid/high-end clothing gets bombarded with way too often.

Well, you're not wrong.
Obviously, a $2,000 leather jacket is not the same as a $200 dollar leather jacket. but that is a false equivalence already, the only reason you want a leather jacket in the first place is to look like james dean
(which is okay, i want a leather gracket too. and when i want to look like a hobo, ill be sure to get some rick owens
Well, I'm not into fashion, but this brand has something that I love. They don't sacrifice utility for looks. Have you seen the fabrics they're using ? It's all high end stuff, gore-tex, gabardine cotton, etc. As someone whose primary concern when buying clothes is its protective performance (I mean, isn't that why we made clothes in the first place ?), hence why I know about these fabrics, I'm glad not to have to pick between hiking or military stuff anymore, which often are ugly and/or connoted. Well, I won't buy one of those, the style is a bit too much out there for my taste, but I appreciate the effort for sure.
Now, about the price, there's plenty of things to consider. Where was the clothing made ? Paying viet children vs local workers is not the same at all. Quality of fabrics/craft ? I have a saying, that I'm too poor to buy shitty clothes. They don't last. Bad zippers (basically, almost everything non YKK), poorly sewn, few reinforcements if at all. If my 240$ jacket last 4 times as long as your 80$ bucks one, I win money in the long run. Doesn't really apply to fashion people who are always on the lookout for new things I guess, but it's still a valid point to me, and I think many others. There's plenty more, and there are of course overpriced shit everywhere, but yes, good stuff has a price, and even in clothing, it makes a difference, not only in how it looks, but also how it feels/works.

It might not be a luxury fabric, but when it comes to performance of non technical clothes, millspec gabardine is almost up there with ventile. Ok maybe not super high-end, but it's good stuff.
Ventile is good stuff, always wanted a ventile raincoat but very few brands make it. Thing with performance wear is, as much as I like the higher end stuff, I don't do many things that require their utility, and I doubt people who parkour or mountain climb would find a big difference between Veilance and Arc'teryx/Burton. I understand I'm paying extra for design, hype, etc. And even though Acronym has a loyal following, I still think their designs are generally underappreciated. The way they reconstructed the Lunar Force 1s and Air Prestos were brilliant. It's apparent when you compare them to other Nike/designer collabs.
I know this shop does custom order of some kind. Their basic model is a ventile sass smock of the british army. Not sure how far they're willing to drift from this model, but considering every jacket is hand made it's worth a shot if you're interested. Build quality is rock solid, price is fair (I mean, they sell military clothing, you're not paying for design or hype here :D). I wore a full set for some times, and sure, it's great to go into the wild, but I discovered a whole new world in towns as well. I discovered that you could be warm all winter long :D. I sold it since, since their basic model worn in civil context makes you look like a hobo (litteraly, someone tried to give me money), but I never forgot the sensation, hence why I'm into high-end clothing now (nor fashion or military though). About Acronym, I like their design too. Too many accessories for my taste, but there is a modern samourai vibe that strikes a cord for me.

Edit: Is Canada Post going on strike?
I thought they'd already been on strike for a few days now?
Idk news travels slow to the US. I hope the workers get what they demand, but I'm also concerned with whether or not Canadian shops will fulfill their orders.
Went to a fancy wedding reception with yuppie Koreans, noticed most of them had better tailored suits than I did, most likely MTM. Tried to be cute with a Dries exotic print tie but no one gave a shit. Also, everyone had those spread collars with the points hidden.
