nothing to add for preperation, all said...hum...i like to put some rice in if theres more soup then noodles left...and yeah kimchi is a must!!!

edit: dont cook the egg before, it gets ready if u put it into the cooking water...

I always put the egg in the bowl and let the water boil it. My favorite ramens are shin ramen, 육개장 and wangdogung.

after the ramen is done in the stove, turn off the heat and just crack an egg into it, the heat will cook the egg. Make sure you stir it though so its not in one clump.

i just use a small portable hot water boiler, stick it in for 10-15, then throw in the flavoring and eat

Ok, here is my Chinese way of cooking noodle.

i don't use ramen noodle or any other instant type noodle from asian groceries. i use shanghai noodle.

stir noodle:

boil noodle, do not add anything.

Dice a reasonably sized pork or beef.

Broke two or three egg over the pan and stir it, add water, add soysauce. add salt, add sugar.

add in the diced meat.

cook until ready.

empty the water in the noodle

mix the meat sauce with the noodle.

add in diced spring onion.

diced carrot is not bad
egg ok, but there's already alot of fat in that shit

add the soup base once it's done cooking unless you like cancer

for a soup based noodle, you can do almost anything, but i like to add a few leaves of coriander at the end, it makes the soup so much more inviting. ^_^ and coriander + sesame sauce soup is the thx ^_^.

did u know you can broke eggs inside a rice cooker when the rice is almost ready? and when the rice is ready, the egg will be too and the egg will stick on the rice ^_^.

Whenever I eat ramen, it's cas I'm feeling too lazy to make anything else. Therefore all I do is crack an egg in there. Seems you guys take ramen making seriously. -_-;;

What's really sad is I've never had any of those brands you guys recommended. All it's been is either cup of noodles, bowl of noodles, or top ramen. Don't get me wrong it's still quite good, but I know I'm missing out.
