According to our opening poll, people go out and download a free program so that they aren't annoyed by the adds that show up on the free websites they visit. Working at a popular fast food restaurant, I get at least one person a week asking for a "free" water only (no purchase) in the drive-thru. Not to mention all the promotions that are run give away something for free whether its buy-one get-one or get a free something with purchase because that is the best way to entice people nowadays.
You don't have a right to free stuff; if a company puts a price on a product, you only have two options: pay that price, or don't use that product. This is how our society runs, if you adblock TL, not only do you hate E-Sports (and Elly, how could you hate her????) but you also hate capitalism (and if your American, you also hate America).
It is the mark of the mind untrained to take its own processes as valid for all men, and its own judgments for absolute truth.
The elitists keep trying to get people to not use adblock when it is a free utility provided on Mozilla's ( firefox/waterfox 32/64 ) official webpage for that exact purpose of using it. In some users of it do it because of principle, performance, bandwidth, battery life for notebook users, security.

You see him getting on his high horse so you get on your own high horse and show him that your high horse is higher than his high horse. The pleasures of life
The ads don't bother me that much. If I can support TL through two clicks and then not having to do anything else, that's fine with me.
Elly is only asking that you consider helping TL generate revenue for its maintenance and growth. You don't have to help. It just makes her cry if you don't. She's a bit of a drama queen.
Based on the reactions of this thread we have decided to write our own explanation of how to unblock ads on TL. The Elephant banner now links to this thread. We didn't realize a lot of people didn't know how to do it. Thanks TobZero and his OP for making us conscious of this, and for everyone who unblocked TL as a result of this.
You know if Team Liquid really wants to prevent adblocking, they should have a video that plays 2 girls 1 cup instead of a crying elephant. That would solve the problem. Of course they might have to change their domain name to teamliquid.xxx

You can mention FlashBlock too (Firefox, Chrome, and others) as sometimes "a wild flash ad appears".

my. fucking. god.
plz just fucking close this thread because this is getting downright fucking ridiculous.
Most of the community sites live from the ad's.I want to support the best community site in every way its possible so i don't have one.And it's not because of TL that i don't have one, it's just in general , because most of the community sites put so much effort and love in it , and they want to keep it running so everyone should turn of the ad blocker on every site they visit. Some people don't understand how important this is for so many sites.

Also I know it is a little bit as a joke, but please none of this either.
