this video makes me angry just because this stupid judge guy doesnt know how to raise his daughter properly she has to suffer from it thats just cruel

also: why is this all on camera?

because the girl was smarter then the judge and expected it to happen ?

I know if my dad would have pulled out the belt i would have just beat the shit out of him with any weapon i could find. I think he knew better then try .... yes i was pretty crazy back then.

Can't possibly be said more simple than that, fully agree with this statement.

This is absolutely terrible, I seriusly can't understand how anyone can defend doing stuff such as this to children or in this case teenagers? - I my self have never been hit, but I defently have been yelled at to the point of where my dad almost did.. - And trust me.. Just seeing that anger is more then enough in any sort of 'punishment'.

It is illegal to pick up an adult and bundle her into a car. Should parents who pick up their children and take them into the car, over the child's protestations, be put into jail too?

It is illegal to lock an adult inside a building. Should parents who lock their children inside the house be thrown into jail?

It is illegal to spank an adult. Should parents who spank their children be thrown into jail?

They are all methods of coercion, and each will cause suffering.

Don't worry mate. Your culture will be gone first. The nice thing about the left is that it breeds itself out of existence.

I love this.

I mean the fact, that she managed to set up the camera and make it public.
It sickens me, how abusive and cruel parents can be, even in this day and age.
How stone-hearted can you be to even consider beating someone who's squirming so miserably?

Here's to hoping that asshole gets what he deserve, imprisonment and loss of custody, when I could be his judge.

€: Man, I can't even watch this crap, it nauseates me so much I can't watch more than 30 seconds.
Life is short, waste it wisely.

Why are you even posting this? Why do you think everyone should see this? Its not like its important news, or it is imprtant for us to see. Im sure i can find a video of baby seals being clubbed to death, but why the **** would anyone post this?!
Waste of time, and it makes me sad to see this. This judge will get his punishment nevertheless if it is posted on TL.

That video was absolutely disgusting. This guy isn't fit to raise children, let alone be a judge. He better get what he has coming to him.

He was punishing her for stealing and lying about it. I really don't see why such a large portion of TL is up in arms over this and disgusted. Did your parents never give you a spanking when you were doing something wrong(stealing is a pretty big deal especially when your a judge and it's your daughter doing it)? Would it have been better if he threw her out? Turned her in to law enforcement? Seemed pretty clear she had already been in trouble for it before, I genuinely think he was looking out for her best interests and that he was trying to fix the problem through use of appropriate force. Is the problem that it was the Dad that gave the punishment? If the Mom gave her the belt would there be such disgust? Simple spanking and everyone acting like he murdered her, people are being ridiculous.

Wow this one got me raging. I will never ever understand how you could do something like this to your own daughter.

He should pray to god that i wont be HIS judge. Imprison him and beat the shit out of him. Everyday. In and out. Till he dies.

Did you even watch the video? That wasn't a simple spanking. He repeatedly hit her with the belt for about 4-5 minutes straight. A simple spanking is this:

Bend the fuck over.
Hit them with the belt a couple times.

That's it. Done in 10 seconds.

And there are more effective methods of punishing her for "stealing and lying about it." Take away the computer. Don't give them access to the thing that causes the issue. Reward them for not stealing and lying about it. Positive reinforcement is more effective than physical beatings in any situation.

And yeah, there are certain things where positive reinforcement won't or can't apply. That's when you give the simple spankings...
On my way...

Well, if you watched the video, and try to defend that man, youre sick.
I personally think he even enjoyed it, maybe he even got turned on. Dont know how sick he is.

Maybe be a harsh smack on the butt, going along with some serious words. But this is castigation.
So, sorry this isnt acceptable by any means and in almost any circumstances. If you dont think so, i feel really sorry for you.

edit: Violence is NOT an adequate form of raising your children no matter what. If you think you have to smack them. Its already your fault.

Regardless of whether the mother or father did it, it's still an extremely old fashioned and disgusting way of raising a child. A parent resorting to violence (spanking etc.) is, in my eyes, clearly an adult whose lack of authority makes him or her resort to external means. A child or a young person should never be exposed to violence by their own parents. Get in a fight with someone who's picking on them, sure, but never as punishment by their parents.

I was barely able to watch any of it, due to the anger swelling up so much I could've broken the jaw of whoever came close next just out of pure frustration. (You may try the "you've got anger issues"-angle, but keep in mind that would only be relevant if I actually DID break the jaw of the nearest person.)

Regardless of how you twist and turn, it's violence done to a child by the very people who're supposed to be their center of safety, love and caring until they're way grown up and moved out into the world - and even then, they should remain available as that particular center. Violence is not love - especially not in a context such as that.

I didn't know Rick Perry had daughters. Not as horrible as it could have been. Just glad the girl made her move, to get it out in the open(whistleblowing).
I used to like trumpets, now I prefer pause. "Don't move a muscle JP!"

No, because my parents gave discipline without resorting to violence. Doing harm to a child is ALWAYS wrong.
