We are extremely close to shutting down this thread for the same reasons the PUA thread was shut down. While some of the time this thread contains actual discussion with people asking help and people giving nice advice, it often gets derailed by rubbish that should not be here. The moderation team will be trying to steer this thread in a different direction from now on.
Posts of the following nature are banned:
1) ANYTHING regarding PUA. If your post contains the words 'alpha' or 'beta' or anything of that sort please don't hit post.
2) Stupid brags. You can tell us about your nice success stories with someone, but posts such as 'lol 50 Tinder matches' are a no-no.
3) Any misogynistic bullshit, including discussion about rape culture.
4) One night stands and random sex. These are basically brags that invariably devolve into gender role discussions and misogynistic comments.

If you have a favourite restaurant yourself ask em to provide something nice and vegan. Often works. My GF sometimes asks whether they can prepare her something along her guidelines and it ends up being fantastic now and then.

She is pretty well-versed in all the spots on the island. But I want to surprise her and not let her worry about choosing where to go. Options are definitely there when I call ahead of time to ask what they can accommodate, only problem is that her pallet is so refined with well seasoned vegan foods that Im afraid w/e stuff the chef can put together wont be on par. Ive been doing research all day lol, so far I found a good spot that serves vegan lasagna and I think that she can definitely appreciate that.

He did say it was for dietary reasons. Wish is pretty legit in my opinion. If I was to go vegan it would not be for that I care about cows but purely for the health benefits.
To be on topic. If she says "its fine anywhere" if she asks which restaurant, just believe her? She is probably already used to not having 50 different dishes to choose from. And if you do go to a good restaurant they will have good vegan options. No need to make a big deal out of it tbh.

Dairy? Yes. Lactose intolerance is a real problem. It's not strictly allergy maybe but you still feel side-effects.

I really minded when I was seeing a gluten free vegan.
And my girlfriend told me it was really annoying dating a guy who was doing iifym strictly (while feeding her chocolates)
Although I must say I gained weight like crazy and doing a cut will be damn hard since my skinny girlfriend who never gets fat loves candy, unhealthy food etc. etc. and it's super hard to keep discipline when you see your SO doing that.
(I'm a stress eater, she's a stress starver and we've been both stressed as hell in our careers lately)

Dietary habits are only a red flag relative to individuals who have particularly incompatible attitudes towards food, and even then, there is no hard set rule. My friend has an aunt who is a hardcore vegan and yet she's been married to a protein-obsessed gym rat for well over 30 years.
Generally speaking, being a vegan, vegetarian, or carnivore isn't as important as the habits/philosophy that accompany said approach to food. Personally, I don't see myself ever being able to shack up with someone who considers my diet a perpetual act of unjustified violence, but luckily, my large frame and irreverent affect seem to do a fine job of chasing folks like that away

I see veganism (for dietary reasons) the same as people who portion or count macros daily. I'm the type of guy to meal prep for the week and sometimes completely omit starchy carbs when I'm on a cut. Both are a conscious decision for a healthier living lifestyle.
Also imo, I find people who take iifym too literally weirder than activism vegans.

I will simply agree 100% with you, for a change.
I disagree with Emnjay808. People who follow IIFYM do not consider people who don't do their diet violent murderers like some vegans do.
Veganism for the most part is not just a way of eating, but a belief system and a political doctrine to an extent, with which I strongly disagree. Morever, on the odd case a person is vegan simply for the nutritional aspect, they are also horribly misguided.
