We are extremely close to shutting down this thread for the same reasons the PUA thread was shut down. While some of the time this thread contains actual discussion with people asking help and people giving nice advice, it often gets derailed by rubbish that should not be here. The moderation team will be trying to steer this thread in a different direction from now on.
Posts of the following nature are banned: 1) ANYTHING regarding PUA. If your post contains the words 'alpha' or 'beta' or anything of that sort please don't hit post. 2) Stupid brags. You can tell us about your nice success stories with someone, but posts such as 'lol 50 Tinder matches' are a no-no. 3) Any misogynistic bullshit, including discussion about rape culture. 4) One night stands and random sex. These are basically brags that invariably devolve into gender role discussions and misogynistic comments.
Last chance, guys. This thread is for dating advice and sharing dating stories. While gender roles, sociocultural norms, and our biological imperative to reproduce are all tangentially related, these subjects are not the main purpose of the thread. Please AVOID these discussions. If you want to discuss them at length, go to PMs or start a blog. If you disagree with someone's ideologies, state that you disagree with them and why they won't work from a dating standpoint and move on. We will not tolerate any lengthy derailments that aren't directly about dating. |

I agree, but I wonder why she didn't straight up say "No thank you". Because they never know which ones are the psychos who will go ape shit over rejection, is the explanation I've been given when I see girls do it. Having seen some aggressive guys in action recently I don't blame them at all. yeah this used to annoy me when I was younger, but at the same time there are a whole lot of fucking weirdos out there and I've seen in person why women do that. Having a bunch of female friends, and being one of the only guys in that crowd at times will change your perspective a bit (for the better I would say).
that being said, if you're giving out a wishy washy answer for whatever reason when a guy approaches you at a bar, texts you, says something like what you replied to, etc, you don't get to whine when the guy keeps trying. But even when women give a firm no fuck off, it's amazing the amount of dudes that will creepily and relentlessly pursue them.
internet dating for women is like this x100 because there chances of immediate consequence (someone slapping them in the head for being a creep) does not exist

A few subreddits are really good for seeing it in action. Some posts are maybe fake, but there's a lot of genuinely scary behaviour posted on there. I think /r/cringepics and some others have those types of posts.

In that position though, if they're a creep, how does leading them on do anything? If you're trying to get away, sure. But if you leave them with a maybe, then that won't stop them.

I think the hope is that you can simply ignore them on your phone, hopefully never see them in real life, and eventually they'll fizzle out and leave you alone.
|
Persistence wins the day.
|
I don't know about that, it might win you a restraining order, though.

10 no's? 1 yes? A great success!
|
Everyone knows the boolean logic for dating is OR.
No OR No OR No OR No OR No OR No OR No OR No OR No OR No OR Yes = Yes
|
I did a full adder with your mom last night, carry_out = FALSE
sorry, I had to
|
lmao this thread keeps getting better
|
"Ayy gurl you a multiplexer? cuz I heard you picky"
+ Show Spoiler +I'm supposed to be studying for a digital logic test right now
|
"I'm asynchronous, but I'd wait for you."
+ Show Spoiler +Actually thinking of pulling this line with a girl I matched with on tinder hue.
|
Awwwwwww shieet.
Was on tinder and saw a friend of the girl I just dated. Really beautiful, so when I didn't match I sent a snap to her of a person hanging himself and said something about how I didn't match with her as a joke. That girl was one of her roommates who thought I was good looking! Asked her to hook us up and she told me to add her on facebook and now I'm talking to her .
Note to self: Having female friends is very good.

That's really fucked up imo.

Yeah I can understand how it looks from the outside huehue. None of us are serious though when it comes to these kinds of things, and I'm 99.99% certain she understood it was meant as a joke. I mean, one thing she liked about me was, in her own words, that I was "raw".

lol I'm glad it managed to resonate with her... the timing of your comment seemed funny since a page or two ago we talked about how guys will overaggressively respond to being rejected, so I think sending pictures/ texts of "Now I'm going to kill myself/ you should kill yourself" seemed rather apropos
|
I think that the line " go on a date with me or I'll kill myself" probably has a higher than average success rate. Might wanna try it out you guys!

Girl suddenly says yes. It's on.
