I say, fuck all that. I say, ask for what you want in a way that suggests you know you're gonna get it. Don't have to be mean to do that. I've had a mid-length girlfriend or two started from books or vaguely similiar circumstances. They were both insane obviously, but me not being mean enough wasn't really a problem. Unless you count not doing the washing up. | ||

I've only read your post, so I don't know what you've been told so far, but here's my take: You can't go on anymore of these "fun-dates", or she'll start to get too comfortable with that status. Your idea to go for coffee was good, but the next time you're alone together you need to get down to business, or so to speak. You've already broken the ice, now it's time to take the plunge. If you do go out for coffee or lunch again, you can't leave without making some sort of attempt at letting her know what you're feeling, even if it's just to set up a concrete date of some sort. That said, seems like you've done great so far. You've proved to yourself you can handle this, now it's just a matter of taking what you did today a step further. I've got faith in you man :D | ||
