That's because you're being an ass? You shouldn't need "a reason" to do small, nice favours for people, since it should be an enjoyable thing to do. I'd do those kinds of things for anyone, the only exception being if they had seriously pissed me off at some point and I had not forgiven them for it.

ARE. 99% true. thanks. i'll update tomorrow, maybe new topic this one is already huge TT sorry mods =] http://warbucket.com/site/encyc/view_entry.php?id=99 That should be self-explanatory .Also, since you remind me of me, I expect that as long as you are in this state -- unsure about how she feels about you -- you will wonder if every little thing she does is a signal or not. So be prepared to see this coming -- you've probably started doing it already (if not, then maybe I'm wrong, you're not that much like me, and therefore you're lucky ). And be warned: none of those things are definitive signals: in fact, she doesn't even realize she's sending you any. If you keep wondering whether this or that is a sign that she does / does not want to be in a relationship with you, then you will smother yourself to death by anxiety. The solution, you ask? Don't think about it. If you have to think about whether or not something was a signal, then there is a very good chance that it was not. Example: here is a situation where you should not have to ask whether or not something is a signal: she starts holding your hand as you're walking/sitting together. If this does not immediately signal to you that she is interested in you, then you are in trouble.By the way, I'm under the weak impression that a lot of typical girl "signals" and "hints" involve body language. Is this true? e.g. Maybe if they are interested in you, they will also feel nervous when you guys are together, so as a result they will start unconsciously revealling their nervousness through their body language? Or perhaps they will intentionally do certain things with their body to try and get their signal across? This is all just me speculating, of course.

Here is an example where it makes sense: the pencil is well within your reach and it's only slightly closer to them. So you pick it up for them: it should make them happier that you're doing them a favour, and you happier because you are making them happier. Therefore, it is a logical thing to do. As for varying distances and measures of convenience, use common sense, doing the kind thing when in doubt because it leads to an overall increase in happiness for both of you. Of course, this only applies if you are both normal human beings, for whom these acts will make you both happier. If it doesn't make you happier to see a random person happier, then you are fucked up (edit: or you are depressed or pissed off at the time, but I won't start "patching up" every "leak" in this post because that is ridiculous: I only did this one because sometimes I have felt mad and at those times I did not want to help those around me). If you live in some fucked up place where courtesy generally makes people less happy, then I can see why you would object to doing these things.

You need to be able to read her. some girls are aggressive, some are passive aggressive, some are passive and some are just laid back. find out which kind she is and attack

In response to the first part: yeah, I guess =/. In response to the second part: I try not to, but most girls invoke emotions in me that persuade me to treat them better than guys. So there are situations where I'll be nicer to a girl than to a guy, but I hope that the difference is small, e.g. I might try a little harder to pick something up for a girl than for a guy.

Secondly: It's the rule. Men and women cannot be friends, because the sex part always gets in the way. A man cannot be friends with a woman he finds attractive because he always wants to have sex with her. There is an amendment to that rule, and that is that men and women can be friends if they are both already involved with other people, because it takes the pressure of possible involvment off. No, that's not right either, because then the person you're already involved with feels there's something missing from the relationship and you have to go outside to get that. You tell them no, and then they accuse you of being secretly attracted to the friend, and you probably are, I mean, come on, let's face it.

Theres an exception to rule #2: If you allready had sex/relationship with her and you dont want it again, then its possible to be really good friends.
