Gonna have to think over the books thing... don't think it is a great sign, but it could just be nervousness, I'll ask my female housemates (I live with two girls). Female friends cock-block like a frieght train. Don't sweat it. Make your intentions (notice I didn't say get mushy with feelings and scare her) known as soon as you are remotely comfortable doing it. I would have made it clear when I asked her, but to each his own. hm the books thing I don't know. She really likes the books and we chatted about them for a while. It is a bookstore, you know. I don't know how fast I should let my intentions be known. I don't want to rush her. How do I tell if she's ready for it or not? If I go out too many times it will be more like "close friends" than boyfriend/girlfriend. I don't think it was too clear when I asked her. I'm pretty sure I didn't ask it like a date. I thought about adding: "...to starbucks, just the two of us.", but I didn't.

I'd say to ask her again on Wednesday, to whereever, and then, if all goes well, ask her out on a real date after school on another day. Don't do it the same day, you want her to miss you if she's really liking you. Ask her to a movie, or something on Friday, or lunch on Saturday. Don't go straight for dinner.

Your good. My only advice is don't wait too long, you'll only make yourself CRAZY.

something not blatantly romantic but somewhat chick-y can't think of any off the top of my head, other than "sideways" (guaranteed to like this one, most girls) and get some food or whatever... don't build it up too much

Can you break on to the roof of the building, cause that's always fun. Other than that, I really don't know what is around your school. i can definitely not see a movie; it will take a long time to get there, and it will take a long time itself. maybe friday, seeing as how things go. I was thinking of lunch on wednesday, you know. I was going to ask her to go to lunch with me on Wednesday. (Should I ask her tomorrow? Since she brings her lunch, I don't want to make her not eat it) Area around my school is basically Toronto. Lots of stuff. Lots of food places. Sushi/Chinese/ Pizza pizza etc. like, a lot really if you have any suggestions on what would be a good date lunch for 2nd "date"(since first one wasn't clear to be a date) tell me/ some more high-end dining ones/ lots of stores and shops / uhh, not sure... if any of you live in downtown toronto, PM me and I'll give you more info.

You have to go for emergency friendship killer. Stop TALKING to her, do not contact her in anyway. She will come and ask what's up. And then you will tell her that you don't want to just be friends 1-0 gg no re

If I do that, I'm like, 85-90% sure she will just be like, "shrug, whatever". I mean, our experience wasn't exactly sensationally amazing. She might just shrug it off. I kind of disagree with "tell her you don't want to just be friends..."

Yeah, I think she's simply treating you as a friend at the moment. I did this type of stuff with a girl a while back (we chilled almost everyday after school). We are still good friends, but nothing more. If you really want to develope a relationship with this girl, ask her out on a REAL date, not too many of those small "dates".

Oh well, she is not avoiding your company so it is already a good point for you. But you are really risking friendship if you don't take some dramatic action now, if she would want to be with you, she would make it obvious... If she realized how much she likes you, she would had probably dodged the starbuck trip. But remember, this is different for every person, if you enjoy her company as a friend then well you should tell her how you feel... Get a yes/no (probably a "i dont know, im so surprised didnt saw that coming"). If she spam you in the face with a no, then diplomatly negociate a friendship and then start hitting every girl around, her friends etc... and ask her for tips in a humourous way.. (like bad sex jokes at strange time . Most important is that you show her how confident you really are and that you would take her when she is ready... Meanwhile just use her

be nice. looking at her is good but dont stare. know when to change the subject into something sexual or personal. jokes are good. eases the mood. when the time is right, just tell her. that you think she is really pretty or something. some kinda compliment. your stressing too much. just be confident and dont be a jerk. she will like you. girls look at personality more than looks. unless they are shallow. this girl obviously wouldnt mind a peice of you (whichever peice it may be). gl

Lunch Wed is good if followed up with a movie this weekend sounds like a good idea. PS. Don't see "Hitch" for the movie Edit: To those worried about ruining friendships. I am good friends with two girls that I've shot down. It just takes maturity to deal with it on both sides.

I figure, make it obvious what you want to do. What's she going to do - say no? So what? If she says yes, it's ALL KINDS of hassle out the way. Ambivilous is bad. Incidentally, I don't mean "wanna come round mine and watch porn?" kind of obvious, but more like "let's go do something that's obviously a date, something that Daishi can't think of as he's spoilt by being able to go out to dinner or the pub for his dates". Ice scating? Too cold to sit in the park and be rude about joggers. I'm sure you'll be able to think of something.

If telling about how you feel to someone make him/her freak out then he might have not been a even been good as a friend. Btw, is it usual to have girls coming back on you after turning you down... I can't seems to figure out the pattern behind this ? For me it's been 50-50% in those situation~~
