Might have to do with the production process, where suction cups are often used to pick up sheets of glass/mirrors. Are they perfectly round?

That's probably it, yeah they are almost perfectly round, it's hard to tell since I can hardly see them.

Yeah, but with writing and literacy, you can teach your decedents math and build bridges for the rest of human existence.

having writing skills would make this easier for future generations but is not necessary while having math skills would be essential.

On the contrary--there's a reason Europe had to drop the Roman system for the Arabic system. There's a reason Mathematicians write books with words and explanations and not merely blank scribblings of random symbols. Clarity is the only thing that allows information to be transferred from one person to the next. Just because you ignore the clarity of writing that was given to you does not mean you get to forget it when passing it along the chain.

I have no idea what you are even talking about here. "blank scribblings of random symbols"? your talking about creating a text book when you say "with writing and literacy, you can teach your decedents math and build bridges for the rest of human existence"? it is true there are words and explanations in those books. Like i said being a very talented writer would help with this. but having the math skills is required. you cant write a calculus text book without knowing calculus no matter how good you are at writing. Then you assume i ignored something?

Being able to explain what the equations mean and what their relevance is has to do with writing, not math.

Bridges were built before calculus.
Bridges were built before algebra.
Monuments were built long before we had organized mathematics.

It is easier now to build bridges since we read the writings of the past to teach us without us having to learn from scratch each time. Without mathematicians we would still have bridges, and buildings, and everything else we have. It will be harder to build them and they won't be as good--but we don't *need* mathematicians to teach us that. We do need writers to write down the knowledge we have now to pass it down to those after us with the explanations on *why* those random scribblings exists.

We would not have cars, we would not have computers, we would not have anything beyond simple buildings, or pretty much any other recent invention. You can make a basic bridge without the use of algebra, but to make, for example, the golden gate bridge you can be damn sure there is a lot of math that goes into that. If all current knowledge of the world was lost, we could get back to where we are much faster with just the math than just the text. Math is a universal language that always holds true whereas language changes.

Math's progression would not have gotten far without language. Without being able to communicate, you would be limited to only your own knowledge and whatever mathematical revelations you could have in your single lifetime with no prior mathematical knowledge. In fact, I would argue that numeral systems are actually part of language since, like words, numbers and operator symbols are just written forms of abstract concepts.

But, without being able to communicate, how did they create a language? I mean, maths is a language, is it not? So how come they created a language without being able to communicate in a language? I mean, it's not like languages can develop without language.

Ignoring the fact that language =/= communication =/= knowledge dissemination, in general societies learn to communicate like this.

Communication => Language => Medium Specializations (writing, speech, art, etc...) => Specialization Broad Categories (Casual, Professional, Cultural, etc...) => Specialization Subcategories (Observational Documentations, Free Form Expression, Fiction, etc...) => Non-Categorical Topic Subjects (Math, History, etc...)

We can't simply learn category specific skills that allows us to build things like cars (which requires a societal knowledge in Math, Smelting, Mining, Financing, Mercantilism, Glass Blowing, chemistry, etc...) we also need to learn how to record and disseminate that information so that the people that come after us don't have to rediscover it all over again. So that people after us not only know how the math works, but how to accrue the money to start the projects, how to gather the resources to build the project, how to train the workforce to produce that project, how to create the infrastructure to support the workforce and the consumer force to make the project viable, etc...

Its a big problem a lot of designers and architects have that they forget that it takes more than a good design to build a product.

I can vouch for this. If you add a horse, then things start to get even more interesting and this happens.

By the way I created this and I feel like it needs to be said when I showed one of my friends it went something like this.

Me: Check out what I got in my Email?

Him: What?! That's crazy!? (very short pause) So did you guess the right amount and denomination?

Me: ** ** hope back on life support

My gradnparents just completely randomly sent me a check for 2500 dollars in the mail and told me to do something fun and not spend it on rent.

Yes! This is clearly a test to see how much inheritage you deserve.
Humour aside, that is something you really should do, it will pay off in the long run. Or some time in the future, you might just really need it for something unforseen.

This is by far the best advice, though I'm not sure it qualifies as any more "fun" than using it on rent.
