Women are just not as loud. I've heard many girls talk about dudes legs or anything for that matter. Its sexist of you to not think women are not the dogs we are. 😀 Objectify is more than just thoughts. We don't have movie posters for James Bond films that's just a close up of a guys leg, or horror movies where it's just a close up of a guy's calf. Action movies where half of the image is the guy's body from the waist down pants less. We don't have commercials equating a mans leg with other objects to be desired. We don't have commercials that places emphasis on the guys legs as the main reason to watch the commercial. As such, there isn't a sense of zeitgheist awareness of the importance of a mans leg in order to be given value, worth, or attention. Do women crave it? Of course they do. But not society. Society tells us it's women's legs we care about. No, but we do have plenty of movie posters showing guys with big arms, impressive pecs and perfect abs. Which is why most male gym rats emphasize those and rarely forget them while usually forgetting/delaying leg day. There's a reason the phrase "got legs for days" is usually aimed at a girl in heels with her calves forced to have tight form.

Its sexist of you to not think women are not the dogs we are. 😀 Also, it is really hard for men to show off their legs. Male fashion is usually pretty baggy and unrevealing in that area. The most leg you can usually show without looking like a complete sloth are something like 3/4 pants. Neither do men usually wear very tight pants, nor do they have anything even remotely as cool as skirts. Thus, the only time when people really see your legs is usually when you are swimming. For the last couple of years, I noticed men increasingly wearing extremely tight pants around me(not me because I am an old soul and have unappealing legs). I see disturbing amount of men legs barring swim environment.

I didn't smell any burn afterwards nor did I smell the electric smell. I also didn't find any burn marks in area I heard it from. The best guess I can come up with is some kind of electrical surge or discharge into the light. Maybe due to some connection between the bulb and the socket or something that could create sparks making the noise. If the thread in the bulb get too much current, i'll get too warm and will give a more white/blue light... It'd then fade back to normal yellow in a second or so I guess... A few things don't quite fit, like why the crappy connection with the socket would be associated with a surge in current, and why the thread in the buld didn't just melt at the higher temperature. You say 11W, so that is probably an energy-saving bulb then, not the usual glow-thread bulb? Why knows what they do if they get varying or surging currents. Don't know, with this information, my first guess would be something like that. Current variations in the bulb and maybe sparks either between the socket and bulb, or inside the bulb if that is possible. I can't really get all the details together though. Maybe there is a better explanation.
