+ Show Spoiler +The second day after my week of vacation and i already want to murder everyone again. For some reason all the thumbnails are set to deleted in the database and noone knows why and i can't simply set every thumbnail to "not deleted" as some are meant to be deleted. Also the data is updated far more often than the backups, so i can't simply recover the data. It might also be intended as the thumbnails are not strictly required anymore anyways, the legacy system just uses them to display them in the admin frontend and doesn't display the images if there is no snapshot. Can't be fixed without changing a lot of horrible code. I've created a workaround to display the links to the original images (the ones that actually matter), but it's just a temporary solution until my colleague gets back next week, maybe he knows why they are deleted.
Also, lots of customers are recently having problems with our website which i can't reproduce but i have to give a solution within an hour of recieving the mail... I should add an auto-responder that replies "Maybe it's the firewall. Or the anti-vir program. Or some spyware/virus/whatever on their systems."
The producers are uploading Zip files with the mac metadata directory included, so the picturesets are twice as big and therefor cost more when our customers download them and our producers are actually too stupid to understand that problem while the legacy code can't be changed to fix the problem without rewriting everything. I'm now thinking of writing a cronjob that purges all picturesets, though thats a horrible solution... but the only one i can do in time. Did i mention that the pictureset zip files are never actually checked if they contain only images or even if they have _any_ images at all?
We also want to render our movies for mobile clients but our horrible renderfarm code doesn't support any other program than ffmpeg... and my superior decided on another program that should do the conversion, so guess who has to rewrite half the code to fix that? Right... me.
At least it's not the first of the month where i have to fix all the problems in the monthly accounting stuff... like "Oh, we deleted the producer 2 month ago but we still have to pay him and the 4 year old system doesn't support that. Do something about that"...
Oh, and i just got an email from the webdesigners, they get the wrong image for a movie... probably someone entered the wrong properties for the image again... but they are too stupid to find out... Well, they do web design and can't even understand a simple for loop... and copy-paste is their best friend...
Oh, and before i forget, since most of the producers are too stupid to use our upload system (which is a horrible mess because noone thought about how it should work and then it was changed so often that the original code doesn't exist anymore and it's a mess of hardcoded values and copy-pasted code which i now have to maintain) i rewrote it to use a Flash-based (SWFUpload) Web-Upload instead of FTP Upload and made the design clean... just so i now have to rewrite it again because another site did it differently... but the other site has not even half the available options, no translated descriptions, only 2 images, etc... we need all the options but i made it so that most can are per default collapsed away... now all options should be displayed by default in a table layout instead of the youtube-like layout i had chosen... and the new layout looks extremely messy -.-
Oh, and 30 minutes ago one of the movie admins was there asking why some of the movies were still displayed eventhough he (thought he) deleted all of this producer... well... he didn't -.- They were displayed because he missed them... which he could have checked himself -.-

my recent PvP w/l ratio is over 60% same vs Z but fucking terran is the most forgiving race and marauders should cost more gas. It's hilarious when i see terrans with 30 scv's beating people with 60+ workers in games that are longer than 12 minutes and even then those terrans menage to float 1k minerals, who cares, they got stim and units from barracks.
