I need to take a desktop pc (mid tower) back home and I'm travelling via airplane. How to players usually transport their pc when flying to korea and other tournaments?
I was thinking of buying a geargrip (gear grip) and just taking it along as hand luggage, but not sure if they will let me take it on the plane that way.
This is the pc case i need to take along:
Corsair 600T

or u can just put it in ur suitcase, and have ur clothes protect it from damage

Take your hardrive out and pack it safely in a carry on with some padding and a electro static bag, that is the main think you need to worry about as far as getting damaged from being bumped around or dropped a bit. Then you can check the tower in a box with some decent padding, if it gets bumped around a bit it will be fine.

Many people I know just shipped it via UPS or a similar service because of how garbage many airports handle luggage.

This, I'd absolutely not trust airport luggage services with something that expensive. Spend a little extra now to avoid the possibility of losing a lot later.

This could be a good choice, most airports charge you for checking suitcases now anyway so the price might come out pretty similar

ye, i might buy an extra suitcase to put it in. should cost 50 euro extra to take along an extra suitcase.

It costs a lot, but I always have UPS pack my important items for me. That way they don't argue if anything gets broken. Normally if you get insurance they try to argue that you packed it wrong, but they don't at all when you paid for them to pack it.

That's probably what I'm going to do in the near future. I don't trust airline people.

I've done several plane trips recently and brought computer parts (although not an actual computer case).
Best way to do it is in your suitcase with some bubble wrap to protect it, as the suitcase's tend to get a bit of a rough ride.
You are allowed this in hand luggage but I wouldn't recommend as it will take a fair bit longer to get through security as they will want to hand check it at each gate you get to. So you will have to unpack, let them scan it, go through every part individually and then repack and explain why you are taking it. Perfectly fine, just takes time. Also, they have strict weight and size limitations on flights (each airline varies, so check with your airline about limitations), and I imagine a computer case + parts + whatever else you want to take will be too big, considering nowadays you are only allowed 1 bag strictly.

Ship it to where you will be staying. Won't have to haul it around either.

Netherlands has crappy shipping and is expensive...
