Seiko Quartz 4100-9007. But with a solid brown strap. Belonged previously to my grandfather. ![]() Seiko Automatic 17 jewels 7025-5010. But with a different strap. You can see it a bit on this picture but it's very tiny. ![]() ![]() Seiko Titanium SQ50 7N42-7160. Only mine has a lot more refined hand for the seconds and a white inlay for the hands, hours & days. Not the most refined watch out there but it's light as a feather. As you can see I love Seiko. I recently fell in love with this beauty but that would set me back about € 3500,- So no way I can buy it for a long time (unless I win the lottery) as there are a lot of other things that money has to go to first. ![]() Seiko Ananta spring drive moon phase.

![]() Seiko sgga48p1 7N43 Bought as a replacement for one I had that was almost identical, heavier than my previous one. Different manufacturer however. Not expensive by any means, £125 list, think I paid a little less. Wear it all the time, never leave the house without it.

Belonged previously to my grandfather. Fewer photos per post please ![]() I'm really curious about this one (especially since I couldn't find the model on the internet part from another forum). It looks amazing. THIS is the kind of minimal I like, because it still looks like a watch, but very classy. Is it in good condition? Do you have any idea about how much it's worth? Also, may I show the photo to some friends on another forum? I'm curious as to what they say about it. Regarding the moon phase, yeah it will set you back a car, but the spring drive is one of the top mechanisms coming out of japan, and are on par with most swiss quality mechanisms, if not better. That being said, I don't like that model that much as far as looks go. ^_^

Also, from the more expensive models, I can't find one that I would actually buy (divers included). Although, I will admit that the Power Gauge L.E. looks the best out of their entire portfolio.

It's really interesting to here what you guys like/don't like. When I get chance I'll photograph some of the watches my Grandfather has collected over the years (he was apprenticed as a horologist). This is what I wear most of the time, not exactly the same but similar. ![]()

![]() This goes for all the threads of course. (you might stand next to your car - or not - but it may not be required to stand next to your favorite bottle of booze ![]() At least wear the watch on your hand and make a foto. And if it is clear that the light is too good, saturation too perfect or its just clearly made in a studio, dont post it. I can also post a picture of the kalashnikov independence AK-1000 but that doesnt mean I own one ;D Well maybe that is just for me.. not personal and not appealing as the fotos are clearly not made by the person showing us the product they describe as theirs. But to also contribute to the thread, I do now own a watch and also do not plan on wearing one.

Really cool, was always trying to learn how to do that, but he's just a real manly man outdoors person. It's not too hard. You can certainly get an intuition for +-15 min just from the angle. Key thing is knowing based on the season where the zenith (noon-time) position will be, depending on your latitude. It's also not too hard to keep time in your head to +- 10min. With a little bit of mental training you can set an alarm to wake up with pretty good precision. My dad does this, and I often notice that before an important morning appointment I often wake a few minutes before my alarm clock out of anticipation. Also, try guessing what time it is when you wake up just by observing the color and angle of sunlight (assuming you wake up at weird times).

![]() Got it as a present a few years ago. It's really the perfect watch for me. Not to big, casual enough that I can wear it all the time but it still looks neatly. Limited Edition/Made in Germany are of course also positive criteria.

Here is a picture of my watch (not my own picture but the same watch.) It's an Oris big crown pointer date. In spoiler tags because it is a big image. + Show Spoiler + ![]() Go here to see the rest of the beautiful pictures he took of this watch: http://forums.watchuseek.com/f22/big-crown-pointer-date-378020.html This is my other watch, it's super inexpensive and the quality rivals watches that cost 5 times as much. Seiko "orange monster". Also in spoiler because of the image size. + Show Spoiler + ![]()

Cost me about $400 USD which was an amazing deal. Raymond Weil typically costs closer to $1000. Totally worth it for a Swiss made. It's ultra-thin but with an impressive weight to it. It's a slightly older model than the one shown, but it's extremely close.
