I had this great book of quotations by the leading thinkers of certain periods, where they were totally wrong. i.e. someone saying in 1978 that everything that will be invented has been invented. or the president of apple saying how people would never need more than 16kb of memory on a computer I feel like that was one of them | ||

If your combat rating is low you'll have trouble getting higher profile missions. If I remember correctly, in order to get the mission that involves the cloaked ship, you have to hang around a particular spaceport bar in one of the "Southwestern" systems of Polaris space. It's a space station were the elite of the Engineering caste hang out and develop new technology. If your combat rating is high enough, you have done all of the prerequisite Polaris missions, and you frequent that port, you should be able to get the cloaking device and/or warp tunnelling/multi-jump device missions. You have to initiate the correct Polaran mission strings to get missions, and the cloacking device doesn't come untill very late in those strings anyway. BTW, cloacking device suck, multijump organ + tunneling organ is teh shit. That's why you don't want to play Polaris mission string first time around because you'll want the multijump organ so much you can't play without it. I took my valkyrie, speeded around the outskirts of the system - the entire fed fleet following me.. Then I sped in and landed on the system ^_^; So easy and yet I didn't try it for so long ;O! | ||
