Have you ever had an intense dream that you wanted to talk about but didn't have anyone to talk about it with. Well I'm hoping this thread can be that person you can talk to, that "Dream Thread" where we can write down our own dreams and discuss other people's dreams.
I'm going to divide the dreams that I can remember right off the bat into Happy, Scary, and dreams induced by sleep paralysis.

Happy (WARNING; wet dreams included here!)
+ Show Spoiler +

*Alien Clown Attack

The first dream I ever remember was back when I was a kid (about 5-7 years old). It was dark outside and I saw a spaceship land in my backyard and out of it came a psycho demon clown that wanted to hurt my family. So I rallied up my family, we found some maces and went out and fought the clown and were victorious HOoooraaaah.

*My first sexual dream

I was making out with Rose from Titanic. end

*My first wet dream

I was outside of the "Wild Thornberry's Vehicle" (a show from Nickelodeon) and I had gotten into an argument with the girl that could talk to animals about something and she stormed off angrily. Her older sister came out and was butt naked and she seduced me into having sex with her. After I came she turned into a witch and I threw up and woke up.

*ANGEL fish ATTACK (WET)

Ok so according to all my friends this is by far one of the weirdest dreams I've ever had.

I was a purple angel fish inside a marina where the water had a purple hue. (I swear to God I seriously thought I was a fish. I had no complicated thought processes and reacted instinctively to everything.) I was swimming around in my marina when I saw another beautiful angel fish, so I proceeded to swim towards her. As I swam towards her another angel fish tackled me from the side. We engaged in a furious battle and I ended up the victor. I courted the female angel fish successfully and she placed her eggs on the soft sand below us and I went down a fertilized them. I also fertilized my underwear in RL.

*My French trickster (my latest dream) (WET)

The dream started out inside some random room and inside this room was a french girl I had made out with when I was touring Vietnam over the Summer. She pulled down her shorts and I immediately began to finger her as she moaned in ecstasy. To my dismay I came... early... while I was fingering her (in RL 2). She didn't notice and told me to put my penis inside of her. I told her that I couldn't because it was wrong and I had a girlfriend blah blah blah (In reality I was afraid she would notice I had already cum prematurely and my penis was limp) I walked out of the room and walked into another room. She was inside this new room with a few of her friends, she stared at me and gave me a sinister smile. I looked down at her naked body and realized that she had a penis. she told me she ha inverted it while we were having sex. I started to punch her and elbow her furiously, but she just laughed and my efforts and wouldn't get hurt. I woke up after that.

*Going to School Naked

I got out of my car to go to school ( I was in kindergarten) and I noticed that I was missing my socks, I didn't mind too much and kept on walking to class. when I got to class and sat down EVERYONE started laughing at me and I noticed that I was now somehow missing all of my clothes. I started crying then woke up.

Scary
+ Show Spoiler +

*The Hairy Monster

This was the first nightmare I remember.
I was in bed and I woke up to a scratching sound (screw dreams where you wake up and it's still a dream!) I looked around the room and didn't see anything. I looked over the side of my bed and still didn't see anything. So I did what any kid would have done at a time like that (NOT!) and looked under my bed to find a demon little fury fuck grab my face and pull me under.
I still have to jump over my bed until this day lest I risk my fury friend gabbing me.
He looked kinda like this;

*Floating Couches

I was at home sitting on my couch when all the sudden all the lights went off and this thick fog about a foot high covered the floor of my home. I kept my feet on the couch as it started to move and hover by itself. I then was able to see masks under the fog moving around and waiting for me to come down (kinda like the masks from Goosebumps) . the dream ended abruptly.

*Black and White

In this dream I could see everything only in black and white. I was standing at my telephone trying to make a call but I couldn't type in the numbers correctly because of the terrible shaking and sounds caused by something that sounded like a jackhammer. I turned around and saw what appeared to be a ghost skeleton but it didn't have any legs. It's lower half resembled that of a genie. I was terrified when I saw it and immediately looked away. when I looked back at it, it had come a bit closer. this happened a few times until it was in reaching distance of me and I woke up.

The Dark One

The first dream I had of this type happened after I had gone and translated for a Buddhist monk in Mexico city and had come back and was staying at a friend's house in Irvine, CA.
*1st Meeting

I woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't move at all. I could mumble a little bit and glance around the room. I could see my friend laying about 4 feet away from and to my right and to my left I could see someone looking at me but he was shrouded in black. I didn't feel threatened or scared, so I just watched him for a while until I woke up completely.

*2nd Meeting

Same location and situation as the first meeting but this time the shrouded figure was much closer to me and I felt an overwhelming sense of fear overcome me. I started mumbling my friends name "ron" he woke up and shook me awake and asked me what was wrong and I said that I was just having a nightmare.

*3rd Meeting

It had been a while since the first two encounters and I was now starting out my Senior year at my military boarding school. I woke up like the first two times unable to move and saw the figure next to me once again, this time it reached out its hand and began to caress my body and slowly moved it's fingers down my chest onto my abdomen and then down to my crotch. it began to "stimulate" me and I'm not gonna lie I liked it and figured I was just having a wet dream and let it go on. then it suddenly stopped and I felt my sleeping bag begin to constrict around me until I couldn't breathe anymore. The feeling of intense fear began to set in again and the "figure" grabbed my genitalia and ripped it off of my body. I began to scream hysterically and my roommate woke up terrified (He's South Korean BTW ;D). I could hear him screaming at me to wake up but I couldn't, all the while the figure kept on laughing delightedly. I finally woke up and didn't sleep that night.

*4th Meeting

I woke up and immediately knew what was happening but I couldn't see anything at all. Everything was completely black, until suddenly I saw the outline of what could only be described as a Demon come out of the darkness and clench its jaw into my face. I could have sworn I could feel the unbearable pain but no matter how hard I tried I couldn't scream. Suddenly I was able to leave my body and I tried to jump from my bed to my roommate's bed beside me. the figure grabbed my leg preventing my leap and tossed me deep into the ground. I opened my eyes and I was in a black room. I was 100% aware that I was dreaming and I kept on trying to change the room and fight the entity. Everything I did was useless and it just kept on laughing at me as IT kept on changing the room to whatever it felt like, while I just stood in the middle powerless. I started crying and I woke up drenched in tears.

After the 4th meeting I went home for the weekend to stay with my mom.

*Last event

I woke up at home like I had the previous 4 times but this time there was no figure and I felt completely relaxed. After a while of laying in my bed paralyzed I was able to get up, I turned and looked at my sleeping body and walked out into my house's hallway. The hallway's walls were shinning brilliantly white and I stood there for a few moments until something grabbed my shoulder and lifted me out of the house over my hometown. I was hovering over my city as I watched everything get old and turn to dust in the span of a few seconds. I didn't care, I wanted to be a part of whatever was holding me forever, I felt truly happy.

That was the last of these types of dream I ever had, it's been about a year since. I'm sorry for any religious overtones I gave to these dreams. I was only trying to depict them as accurately as possible and I stress they were only dreams and not mystical experiences.

Go ahead it's your turn! share the dreams that stuck with you over the years!

Not gonna lie, you got some really interesting and messed up dreams.

I can never remember mine.

Try to go to sleep with a notebook and pen and as soon as you wake up write your dreams down. This helps A LOT.

I have this nightmare which I've never forgotten. I was about four.

So here I am in the Kitchen and I'm bleeding(majorly, basically dying) and I don't know why. I'm on the floor on my knees and I'm screaming for someone to help, and my family's all there. Yet they just stare at me while I just keep on bleeding and yelling for someone to help me.

More happy(at least not sad one)

This ones pretty weird. I had just finished (forget what it's called, one of the games with marth and roy)(it was on ds/gameboyadvance) but basically I WAS a video game character, even in the perspective of the game itself (as in birds eye view and same graphics) and I was fighting Poseidon just like in the game.

Also:
I looked down at her naked body and realized that she had a penis. she told me she ha inverted it while we were having sex

I have never had a wet dream.

Suck to be you I guess.

I don't really remember my dreams at all. They are always weird and convoluted though. My dreams mix in with one another and I can't tell one dream from another.

No sleep paralysis either :/

My dreams are usually highly complicated with lots of different characters and events, and I always get sad when I wake up. this morning my phone stopped me from finding my missing eevee that had been stolen by witches after I had raced from something in the desert.

Really? I don't know anyone who has never experienced it.

There's really only one dream I remember clearly, my father was driving his car back home and someone rammed him from the back. The man then went on to blame the accident on my father and make a big ruckus while convincing everyone in town it was my father's fault. My father came home and told us we had to pack our bags because everyone was pissed at us and we had to move.
He pulled out his suitcase and told me to pack my things, whilst he said that to me he was packing hamburgers into his suitcase until it was full. We got into the car after my dad finished packing and we began to drive off only to have people ram us with their cars. And by people I mean Simpson characters. To escape we had to chuck the hamburgers at the on coming cars to send them into a spin (mario kart style).
Funny how everything makes sense while you are dreaming and it's only when you wake up that you realise how crazy it is.

I know what you mean... How the hell can some of the dreams we have make the slightest bit of sense EVER... I heard a theory that dreams are just a bunch of jumbled images that your brain randomly produces and attempts to arrange into a storyline.

I'm sure at some point, everybody's had a pokemon dream for sure, probably just not quite like mine.
**note that this dream is indeed accurate, cause i drew a picture book for it the next day lol

So, this took place back when i was in elementary still, and being super cheap as a 11 year old kid, i was playing pokemon Red on NO$CASH GB emulator (if anybody still remembers that). Now this dream kicks off with me just walking out of proffesor oaks house with my trusty charmander. Walking north of pallet town i encountered a ratata and so began my road to power. Eventually, after beating all 8 gyms and i was just chilling in saffron city, i thought to myself, my charizard is at a point where nothing can really beat it...what i exploit his power to attack people too! At this point in time, i didn't really have a sense of justice, i jsut wanted people to burn. So, off i went and started setting random people on fire. The people nearby all summoned water pokemon in an attempt to put out the flames. However, charizards intensity was so high that the water would actually evaporate before it could have any effect on him (he was intense). I continued to roast all the staryu, all the dugong and such until i became the ruler of the region and i started up my own yakuza gang of fire pokemon. Then one day...charizard busted into my bedroom, and set me on fire. And for the rest of the night...i was just on a rotissery spinning round and round and round and round and it was ever so hot T_T

I had one that I don't want to talk about only a few hours ago. The craziest fucking dreams happen during the day. Also when you wake up but decide to continue sleeping.

I've usually don't remember my dreams, though I used to dream some crazy shit when I was a kid. The last few dreams I remember were sex dreams, though there was also a weird one where something(yes, something) got in my car and scared the shit outta me.

I had some lucid(conscious) dreams when I was younger too. Those were cool considering you can do anything when you're dreaming. One time I even remember waking up in a dream, looking out my parents room window, and realizing it was a dream because I went to sleep in my room. Then I just decided I didn't feel like dreaming so I laid down and went back to sleep. Haven't had one of those in a long time, though I wouldn't mind it.

I'm going to describe and post pictures to provide visuals of a recent, insanely interesting dream I had.

It's near dusk and I'm on a small boat wearing scuba gear alongside alongside an older man I've never met. The sun dips behind the edge of the sea and the nearby coast is covered by a reddish hue.

As the sun finally dips below the water and stars become visible. The man on the boat says "It's time." We put in our mouthpieces and adjust our goggles and jump into the dark ocean. We swim to the bottom seafloor and encounter a small, circular opening about 10 feet wide. I proceed forward with only my flashlights guiding me down this perfectly vertical sea tunnel.

After swimming downward for several minutes, the narrow tunnel opens up into a vast, circular cave whose crystalline walls are illuminated only by the light of fluorescent sea creatures swimming in uniform circles.
[image loading][image loading]

The old man and I continue swimming downward, directly through the circles of the swimming, glowing sea creatures. As I swim on in pure dumbstruck awe, I see a TON of bright glowing circles at what appears to be the bottom of this cave. I get closer and reach the end where there are hundred upons hundreds of glowing pods that resemble the egg from the front of the movie ALIEN.

Suddenly the man says "This is B for Baby. This is where dreams are born." He opens a pod and inside is a glowing, embryonic baby...

I wake up.

I've had one lucid dream in my life, which was at the time where I was really trying hard to get one.

I was in class at school one day studying and then I got up and walked around. Suddenly I was in the school library but the library had a computer room. A sudden thought struck me and I was all like 'holy shit maybe this is a lucid dream' but I wasn't sure. So I held my nose and closed my mouth and tried to breathe. I half breathed out of my throat somehow but I was still uncertain. I pinched myself and it didn't hurt but I could tell that the pain was there. So I looked at a juice bottle on the table and it had some writing on it. I looked away and looked back a few seconds later and the writing had changed. I was sure it was a lucid dream.

I got all excited and I was like OH MY GOD OH MY GOD. I wanted to try flying but I didn't want to jump out the window just in case it wasn't a dream so I tried jumping on the spot. I jumped so high that my head bashed the ceiling and I could feel the 'pain' even though it didn't hurt. I started strutting around and there were only hot chicks everywhere in the library. I went up to them and said 'you're just part of my dream, hah'. Then they would actually reply by saying stuff like 'Congratulations!' or 'Nice job!'.

Then, I don't know why I did this, I went up to the next hot chick and immediately started fingering her. Same with the next few chicks. Then I saw the librarian who was a hideous fuck and I was all like EUHGUEHUGHSDFHUHGFSDIHR#)_i_(*$%

And then I woke up.

I would like to share my Sleep Paralysis Dreams,

these are by far the most scary type of dream I have ever had

I have 2 experiences

The first one was when I was the inbetween stages of being awake and asleep. I was lying on my bed. I could hear the radio and was aware of my room but I couldn't move. I thought I could see but I probably was dreaming of my room. Anyways, for some reason the room got hotter and hotter because of the sun setting outside and I have pretty big windows that let a lot of heat in. I felt it harder and harder to breathe. I had to gasp at every breath, I told my self to wake up. I forced myself to move but I still couldn't. (this is what cystic fibrosis must feel like) I thought I was going to die because I couldn't breathe. After a long struggle to force myself to wake I jolted from my dream and was totally out of breath. That really scared me becuase i thought I was at the brink of death.

The second dream was actually my scariest. I think this is related to the OP dreams. I googled it and apparently a lot of people have these kinds of nightmares where they see a black figure. In this dream it was completely dark, pitch black. But I could feel the presence of someone in the darkness. I think it was more than one person actually, anyways I was completely paralysed. I tried to move but the being kept getting closer and closer. And then I felt something... hands started to touch my body all over. First gently then more and more forcefully, I could feel like 2-3 pairs of hands just grabbing and yanking and digging into my skin. I was so terrified but I couldn't move I just had to wait for all the madness to end. And then it got worse...

The hands had instruments, sharp ones. Needles and piercing instruments, saws and hooks. They began puncturing my entire body. Ripping at my flesh, at this point I was screaming my lungs off. A cold chill went through me as I was horried at these beings tearing my body apart. What made the dream scarier was that it was completely dark. I couldn't not see my abusers...nor could I move. I just had to lie there and feel completely helpless.

Then I woke up.

I have been reading on these kinds of experiences and I think some people have mistaken them for Alien Abductions or whatever. I had watched a movie went I was a kid called Fire in the Sky, a guy had flash backs of a traumatic experience of an alien abduction. But to me it didn't feel alien,... it felt demonic. It felt very very evil and very real. Does anyone else have these kind of experiences? Please share.

I once dreamed that I was piloting a Protoss Corsair and dodging tons and tons of longbow missiles that were being fired from an array of missile turrets on a metal ocean platform, performing sharp turns and crazy flying tricks like corkscrews and full loops. Either I was hit, or I decided to abandon ship, so I did something and fell right out of the cockpit. However, I wasn't very high up, and sitting on a metal folding chair, and so I did the reasonable thing and held onto the chair as tight as I could as I plunged deep into the water.

Then I woke up.
But why?

I had a dream I was Eminem. I just got out of jail for whatever reason. I went to Dr.Dre's house and he was living in the ghetto for some reason. Dre was really buff and just opened a new gym and told me to sign up. Then I helped him move a bunch of furniture out of his house so he could live somewhere nicer. Then I woke up.

I had this dream about a year ago and it's one that i'll never forget.

I found myself walking down the streets of a strange city I've never seen. There were clocks everywhere and the sky was pitch black and the buildings were warped in spiral configurations. All of the clock hands seemed to be accelerated, minutes were seconds and hours were minutes to give a reference point.

Similar to many dreams, I had no idea what was happening or that I was even dreaming, I just merely observed myself following the course of the dream. I kept on walking what appeared to several days according the clocks, but I didn't experience anything, no hunger, no fatigue, not even the slightest hint of sentience. There was only the burning desire to walk.

Eventually, the question to where I was walking to appeared in front of me. It was a door, out in the open, with only the blackness of clocks behind it. I apparently decided to open it to continue my walk, and when I entered the room I experienced quite a strange sensation. I woke up, but not in the sense that I awoken in the physical world, but I was awake in my mind. I quickly came to the realization that I've been walking for days and felt extremely tired and hungry, not to mention that I shat myself. I collapsed to the floor and there was then a person now kneeling at my side, I looked at her and asked who she was. Her response: Someone who doesn't exist.
And then I woke up.

I wake up.

I have repeated dreams, there is this one specific dream that i have about once every 5 months - every exact detail the same. It started when i was around 10. I'm 17. So for 7 years i have this dream. But now, after so many times I can deduce that I am dreaming and just open up my eyes.

the dream goes like this:
I am sitting in my house and hear a scream. I go outside and round the block and see my friend lying on the pavement outside his house and there is 2 wolves eating his insides. Once i see this I run back to my house, but the wolves caught my scent and follow me. Epic long chase happens. Finally I escape by jumping out my window and get away somehow.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In some dreams I have, when my alarm clock goes off, I just include the alarm clock into my dream and don't wake up. For example there was this one time I thought some1 was ringing my doorbell repeatedly. I got pissed. Then finally realized it was my alarm clock.

The wikipedia article on it is pretty good. That coupled with the depictions in this thread should clear everything up.

*edit But in my own words it's basically when you're half awake, half asleep, unable to move and your dreams mix in with reality creating a very "seemingly" real horrifying experience.

this is by far one of the worst thing to happen. in my terms nightmare is not same as this. i mean a nightmare is just something scary and then you wake up ordeal. sleep paralysis...oh man. essentially you get the nightmare but you cant wake up...shit lol. Actually its more of that you know you are awake but you cant wake up and cant move. when you are in that state your mind kinda "disconnects" from the body (not the heart or lungs) and your body is dead thinking the mind is asleep and there is nothing to do.

my example:

i had a scare in my dream and i tried to run and move...but i couldnt. however i could FEEL my signals telling my arm and leg to move.i could feel my joints kinda move but only like a millimeter. i tried to open my eyes but they wouldnt open, not like they were stuck but the muscles would not listen i felt like a quadriplegic. i was forced to just stare and witness my "nightmare" with the full experience...it was so bad. luckily i kinda woke up and realized i just needed to focus my mind and it went away.

my lucid dreaming for the first time:+ Show Spoiler +
i was in my college apartment with my future roommates and we were moving in. my dream had events as if it really happened, like i played jokes on my roommates by trying to scare them around the corner when they were moving in their stuff (gay i know) or i was trying to help them move etc...you know making "memories". shortly our "neighbors" knocked on our door and asked if we wanted to play ultimate frisbee. we agreed (even though i dont like the sport), got dressed and went outside. when we went outside it was bright day (when the neighbors visited it was night) and we were having a legit conversations like and i had to think up actual replies to replies made by my "roommates." I then realized that i was dreaming for some reason but was unsure. so i tried to look into a mirror (do not try this if you get frightened easily or hate the freddy cougar mirror shit) and tried to see my reflection. all i could see was "static" on the mirror. i tried to refocus my image and it came up foggy (as in coming out of a hot shower). again i tried to refocus and kinda saw my reflection by wiping the mirror....and then i woke up. lol

i was debating making this thread myself. i've got a few fun ones.

1. this one happened multiple times when i was 9ish. i'm in a dark alley with my parents and zombies start coming, so i pull out the chain gun and start tearing shit up. then all of the sudden i'm in my grandparents' house hiding in the washroom. i take a peek into the hall to see my dad pushing a shopping cart with a vampire.

2. this one when i was about 14. i'm playing ocarina of time and all of the sudden i'm inside the game. I'm walking through the kokiri forest and then fell into a pit trap kind of thing. then the mask seller appears at the lip of the pit and smiles down at me. then he gives me the crazy mad smile that he only gives when you don't give him his money, and a giant rat jumps on me and bites my neck and kills me, at which point i woke up sweating and i couldn't even look out from under my sheets, let alone fall back asleep. scariest dream ever.

EDIT: here's a picture of that scary mofo

3. had this once about 3 years ago. i'm sneaking up behind mace windu and chop him in half and he falls into that pit from episode one. then i'm on my street playing basketball and my neighbour's blue pickup tries to run me over, blows a tire, and smashes into a tree, and then i woke up.

fun times indeed.
How's the weather down there?

I think I might have the same thing as you. Before I used to smoke a copious amount of weed, I had the ability to control the settings/actions of my dreams (lucid dreaming). But these days, I don't even remember any of my dreams at all. Weed is making me forget my dreams before I even wake up. Maybe I should quit :D I have been smoking literally everyday for the past two years.

In almost all of my dreams, i have almost full control of what happens. In some of them i won't become conscious that i'm dreaming, but in most of them do.
For example last night i decided that i wanted to change my dream about watching my friends fight each other on my front lawn and travel into ancient Greece... It became a confusing hodgepodge of guys in armor on horses walking down the streets of suburbia. And then i found a time machine.

Man for some reason I have been having some really weird dreams lately, and i can't for the life of me remember what they are about, I can only remember vague images of what they might be about.
(So vague that I can't remember) Maybe I'll write down my dream when I wake up tomorrow. But hey its cool when you kind of remember your dreams on a consistent basis.

Holy shit I'm glad I've never had any of those dreams.

Awesome thread

I've been trying on and off to lucid dream for the past...4 years? I can train myself to have lucid dreams, but I am such a light sleeper than they never last for long. It is a great feeling though, when you realize you're dreaming and that you can do ANYTHING you want.

The thing that caught me by surprise with lucid dreaming was that remembering a lucid dream was just like remembering a normal dream...it just feels...off. When I think back on memories I have of lucid dreams, it feels nothing like remember a real life event. Very strange.

When I was around five I had one of the craziest dreams ever

There I was, the Red Ranger, fighting alongside the other fellow power rangers, kicking some monster ass and getting into our zords to own the larger version when it respawned. Me and the rangers then went back to base, apparently there was something important... The power rangers asked me if I had sneakers. I looked down at my feet.. I was wearing white socks... I look back up and shake my head "No I don't have sneakers". They tell me I can't be red ranger anymore if I don't have sneakers
disappointed, I woke up and that was that

I have repeating dreams too. Okay, so I have normal dreams, but I have 2 dreams that repeated a whole lot.

Dream 1 :

Its a nightmare because i'm horrified at what i am doing, but cannot stop myself.

Pretty much i am dressed like hitman, walking up steps of a building(real building in real life) and i get to a certain floor (same floor everytime). I get there i set up my sniper riffle. Once i set up i set it up in the window in the room and look through scope and see all my classmates sitting in class in school i have the perfect view from this building into that specific classroom(this bothered me so much that i checked in RL both location and it matched up,) I start shooting and just kill all of them. Then i go up to the classroom to check if anyone survived and kill the rest. It always ended in most different ways, either i had to kill some of them while they begged or i just looked at what i did hating myself.

The weirdest thing, is that in the dream i could literally feel the recoil of the gun on my shoulder, and i could smell the blood. I used have Freud kinda views on dreams, but i loved all my classmates it was always fun when we were together. I knew what i was doing but could not stop myself in the dream. It was very weird and i had it every night for like 6-8 months

Dream 2:

It pretty much just a chase scene, starts off with me breaking out of a building just to find out its surrounded by the ocean, then i travel via boat\jetski\swim to another facility that floats on the ocean i enter it, and then find a way of transportation and leave. I always get killed in the end of the dream and thats when i wake up.

Now here is the weird thing. Everynight i would progress further in the dream by using the knowledge i have acquired the night before. Like in one dream i would try to use exit A, the door is closed i get shot. Next night, i already know that exit A is closed therefore i try something else. Thats why the details are so vague in my description above because they constantly changed. It was like a video game. I had this for maybe 1-2 years almost every night, it was either i dreamed of this or nothing at all. Very unusual, i would tell my friends and none could relate. It was pretty much i was playing a video game every night in my brain and i hated it cause 90% of my nightmares are me being chased, so i considered this a nightmare even though nothing scary really happened.

I never had sleep paralysis. I heard stories, and always was taught or told that that was demons. I found out the scientific terminology later on, but still it scares me to just think about them, and always thought there was something supernatural about them.

The earliest I remember was a nightmare texas chain massacre-esque episode where our normal house suddenly turned dark, complete with rain and lightning effects outside (yes, stereotypical). A masked murderer carrying some sort of sharp melee instrument began chasing my dad and I around the house, and I escaped through some sort of gopher hole connecting the 2nd and 1st floors. Then he comes after me again, and as he catches up I wake up.

Some other dreams I remember were about flying scooters and unicorns (I must have been high?), and another dream I've had over 5 times, but can't recall on the spot.

Once I actually was lucid in my dream (one about people fleeing an erupting volcano in some futuristic urban metropolis) and started banging my fists against the floor, shouting to wake up.

It's curious, I seem to have had a few dreams repeatedly over the years. Like 5 years after I have the initial dream I have the same exact dream again. Creepy shit.

Dreams are great.

I used to have this recurring dream, I had it two or three times a year from the time I was 4 or 5 up until about 12. I was naked in this endless field with tall brown grass, African savannah style. The sun is shining warm and the sky is cloudless. I'm playing with some animals in the grass, I think a zebra and a lion. The most powerful part of the dream was how vivid and bright everything was, and how happy I felt in the dream. Nothing compares to how happy that dream made me, I wish I didn't stop having it.

I dream every night, and it's always some off-the-chain crazy stuff. I freaking love it.

Once I had a dream that felt like it lasted for days. It was like a sci-fi epic with loads of characters and spaceships hidden under churches and a toilet janitor that turned out to be a traitor.

I haven't had lucid dreams in a while but there was a period where I could get them regularly and I always went flying. Flying TOTALLY ROCKS in lucid dreams, man. It's the best. It took me a few dreams to get over the fear/doubt of trying to take off and failing but once I got it down it was on demand.

I might go back to trying to get lucid again just so I can fly.

sounds awesome, whats the technique to get lucid dreams?

i've had some strange and wonderful dreams but there was one that i woke up so emotional from that i had to write it down. it may sound corny or plain uninteresting but it was such an experience for me. heres what i wrote that morning:

Dream, may 12 2010 morning

group of people with excellent ability, able to get great recoveries in mining
or something. fighting and competing with them intensely. eventually discover
a greater fighting ability within myself, win over the others. Final fight
involved me extremely fired up and half throwing my sword to stab one in the head,
beat the other with something.

Go somewhere, walk out into a dining room, the ones i killed are there alive and well,
everyone is cleaned up and about to eat a grand meal. I am still feeling the hatred
between everyone and the distrust/unwillingness to work together. Unexpectedly one
asks me to sit down with them, everyone seems to want me to as well. begin to cry
at the great ability of these people to put aside the past and differences, forgive,
and see that it is better to work together with our great abilities rather than
compete and destroy ourselves. Can't stop myself from crying. Wake up.

I love dreams.

I used to have nightmares every single day when I was younger, and then I got used to them. After that I started to love them (except the really really scary ones).

Never had sleep paralysis before though :\
Also, never went ahead and 'controlled' one of my dreams. I consciously don't like screwing with my dreams (even nightmares), and like to have them play out because it is more fun that way.

Anything imaginable has happened to me in a dream.

*edit - Btw, who has had a dream where in it, you needed to pee badly. Then when you take that piss, you just keep peeing and peeing nonstop for minutes.

This is when I think to myself in the dream, "wait a second.. this isn't right..." and wake up then go to the bathroom asap.*

Wake up.

Here is a great resource for lucid dreaming: http://www.ld4all.com/guide.html

Everyone has different techniques that work better for them. For me it was just focusing on wanting to achieve lucidity as well as trying to recall dreams as much as possible that eventually led to lucidity after a while.

The main one I remember is from when I was little is one that I got every single night when I slept in a certain room in the house.

I would be sleeping in this small bedroom of a basement suite and in my room there was a single window. Outside of the house the window is maybe only an inch or two off the ground. Every night I would have the same nightmare where I wake up in my bed, look out the window into the windy night seeing the trees blow, then suddenly see someone walk up to the window, stop kneel down, stare me right in the eyes with his eyes open wide, and start doing the trick where you put take over the window and smash it so the grass doesn't fly everywhere and make massive amounts of noise, and crawl in to my room. My bedroom door was always locked from the outside and I would be screaming and crying for help in the middle of the night but no one would hear me. He would slowly crawl in to my room and just about as he is in the door would unlock. I would ran down to my mom's room screaming for help and find her dead along with my brother. I would be able to hear his footsteps coming down the hall and then I would hide under my mom's bed. Eventually he would make his way to the entrance of my mom's room where I would see his shadow cast on the floor and he would walk up to my mom's bed and just flip it up to uncover me, holding a large knife in his hand. I don't really remember anything past that, I don't really want to =[

Looks like I'm not sleeping tonight... I had that dream every night. Fucking ruined my childhood.

I had this one recurring dream that should have been scary but ended up just getting stupid. In the dream, my family and I are in the car as we pull into the garage, and notice that the door leading from the garage to the house is slightly open, but it's still dark inside. I'm the first one to go inside for some reason, and the girl from "The Ring" jumps out of nowhere and attacks me. I hide in the bathroom, which is the closest one. Then, for some reason, I know subconsciously that the girl has an innate weakness to pillow cushions, so I run to the family room, get some cushions off the couch, and start bludgeoning her. End of dream.

I had this dream quite a few times, and eventually I was recognizing it and started dreaming lucidly, before I actually knew what lucid dreaming was and how it could be intentionally triggered. Anyways, dreaming lucidly, I'd just fast-forward through the entire dream to the part where I'm bludgeoning her, and have a good time kicking the shit out of a movie character until I woke up.

This dream is about 2 years old, about the girl of my dreams (literally and figuratively):

so here goes:
I'm walking in this sort of stadium place, like where you walk to
get to exams (under the stadium), and I'm with my family,
we're walking along and from the left stairs the Pixies come up to
get the crowd out, I see them and turn my head towards them and give them
a 'rock on' symbol, and run into a pole. Luckily they weren't looking,
and neither was anyone else, so no one saw it, which is pretty cool
philosophy wise, but for later discussion. I move out of the way of
the pole, line up my continued walking a little better,
and do it again, kinda side-step-skipping. One of them points to me and
says to his friend 'haha they are already pumped, and we don't
play for an hour and forty five minutes'. The crowd is all gathering to a
point a bit past them, and some people (in uniform) are blocking off
the route, but I make it past the barricade alone.

Beyond the barricade a bunch of people are sitting in
bleachers (still under the stadium) and some more on a wooden platform.
I hop onto the platform as a person goes around picking random people
on the platform to go sit at a large table. People seem to
want to get picked, I don't know really what it's for so I don't care.
Some guy who I take it was popular (like high-school popular) complains
that he isn't on the
platform, to which I thought 'fuck off this isn't high school, no one
is popular anymore'. He was a big guy, and I looked and
everyone at the table was big as well, and everyone on the platform.
Like football player-big. I asked the guy beside me what this was for,
and he said 'to have dinner with the pixies', to which i reply
'do you need a ticket?' and he didn't answer.

well it's down to the last pick and everyone is going nuts cringing to get
picked, I was tying my shoelace, not caring at all. They pick some random
girl. Everyone else on the platform is really disappointed so i ask 'did we
need a ticket?' (to get on the platform - and to
even be in the bleachers, so like 2 rounds of choosing people) and he says
'yeah' all disappointed and i think 'wow i almost had
dinner with the pixies and i didn't even have a ticket' I slowly wander off
with the crowd thinking about whether they would
have asked for me to show my ticket, when this girl comes up to me, introduces
herself as a muchmusic VJ and tells me that she didn't get
picked either, so it seems the dinner was for VJ's and football players. I say
kinda 'oh well' and give her a half 'that sucks' half 'i don't really care that
i wasn't picked' look and say bye.

As for the girl, she had a bit past shoulder-length hair, dirty-blond-like streaks but
very orange, bright like a dye. She was ~5'7, petite (skinny). No real hips, nice ass.
Kind of a candi-raver/jet set radio style and spunk, but punky/JSR clothing (tighter fitting
while 'different' and 'wacky' - very... anime? Yeah like 'the world ends with you' style, (that
square game peter had, the fashion rpg one on ds). She was a mix of hyper/spunky/crazy with
cute/soft/caring.

I meet up with my family and I get let into this room where there are a bunch of
couches, sofas, loveseats, etc. Some other family
is there (i don't know them) but it's taken that i do (i knew one of the girls,
younger, maybe through my brother) and i'm introduced to the rest of the family.
They introduce me to 'her older sister' who is sitting on a loveseat in a navy
hoodie, watching (a football game? concert? i don't know, but there
was grass and a field). It's the VJ i met earlier. Everyone is crunched in, its
pretty packed so i sit in the loveseat
next to her (like, a different chair, right beside hers). Her legs are in my chair
(someone else in on the chair with her, and someone
is in front, so she had no room for them) so I say kinda 'sorry' and give her a
flirty smile and sit so as to avoid crushing her legs
too much. As i move to one side of the seat (away from her legs) she slowly slips more and
more into my chair. I sink away and she sinks after me, until we are both sitting
on the chair, way low down. We sink so deep in the chair we are in our own universe,
like a well, with light from whatever we were
watching way up above. We snuggled and kissed and cruched up into little balls
beside each other, her hoodie was really comfortable.
We got so low that the springs of the seat launched us upwards, and we flew in the
air above everyone in the room and landed
with my arm around her in a couch beside the loveseat.

Time went by and everyone was getting ready for bed, she had this weird brush, which
i thought was a razor. She gave me a cute smile,
and then parted the front of her hair in two and started combing it, and i saw it
was a thinning brush of some sort (like it shaved
only every 5th hair or whatever - don't ask it took up a lot of time and brainpower so
i'm mentioning it). She had a towel on, she came over and kissed me
and then we stood a little bit apart,
my brother came down and stood beside me without saying anything, but i could tell
he wanted something (i was looking down and
only saw his legs). I said impatiently 'WHAT?' and he was was like 'oh! um oh yeah
i got a cd you wanted' and i was like 'ok go away'.

She walked over to the bathroom again, i went into the room, but no one was
downstairs with us so i reached an arm around the wall
and gave her a 'come hither' motion. It took her a while to get it but she
came over like 'what?' and i gave her a smile and pulled her in
by her hip in a way that said 'i want to kiss you'. As we came closer, she grinned and
took a quick breath and blew into my mouth. I caught the inhale
though and reacted quickly, my mouth only half filled with air and i covered my
mouth with my hand, as the blow turned into a raspberry (like from xanth, plllll or whatever).
The vibrations were so strong in my hand that it partially woke me up, and
i realized my real body was vibrating all over. It felt incredible,
this translated back into my dream body, and (dream world) i fell onto the bed behind
me completely at peace, comfortable and zen-like, like a post-orgasm feeling, while i vibrated softly.
Once that subsided (the period of half-wake half-sleep zen),
I went back to the dream but it was kind of hazy,
as I was bringing waking thoughts into the dream world, and things started crossing over.
I was worried about how long I would get
to see her, as I knew I/she was only visiting, and I asked her 'how long will you be here'
and she looked at me and said 'i'll be there in the morning'.

FIN

There was skiing beforehand too, at some crazy mountain, that I may have been to before (in
a dream). Last night I was a dragon child, but I only transormed under dire circumstances, (or once
with the queen after flying away from people really fast, but only my legs changed, wasn't dire enough)
and i met the queen dragon. I flew around a cyberpunk-esque city avoiding people (like soldiers,
or whatever secret organization hunts dragons down), it was a lot of fun.

dreams are awesome, every night I have what feels like hundreds of dreams, they dont intertwine except at the start, each one plays out independently, some are awesome, others scary, some just plain weird and messed up. When I wake up I can recall some of them, I should really start writing them down, but all in all they amuse me.

And my most often recurring nightmare is of me and some friends walking along some city, I stop for a second and everyone is gone somewhere, it gets dark and all the streets get twisted and no matter what I do I cant get home, all the streets are empty but I feel something out there.

and ive had sleep paralysis 2 times, both times I was sleeping on my side, and felt something, like the very essence of terror was behind me, I never felt fear like that before, a rush of pure horror. No matter what I did I couldnt turn around and see what it was, or move in any way, I could just wait.

I had a dream.

I was in my 20s, and was trained extensively with the use of a sniper rifle. As a secret anti-government soldier and a part time student as my cover, I was sent to Madagascar on one of my missions and my objective was to use a sniper rifle (which just so happened to have unlimited bullets) to kill everyone on the island. Naturally, me being the expert that I am, no one seemed to be aware of my presence before they were shot, and I killed everyone in five minutes, or so I thought.

When I returned to base, which happened to be a submarine, I was told that according to sonar, there was still one more person alive on the island. I was to return the very next day to seek out and kill the remaining survivor.

The next morning I woke up and ate fiber one cereal, which was unusually delicious. Ten minutes were spent gearing up before I departed the surfaced submarine (on my jet packs). As I flew towards the island, I could feel the force of the wind and could not help admiring the sea. I saw a whale.

Approaching the shore, I spotted a girl. Hesitantly, I drew out my rifle and took a shot at her, prioritizing my mission above doubts. It went through her body, as if she were an ally in a video game. Confused, I took another shot, but it was also ineffective. As my feet touched the shore, I drew out my knife, expecting her to charge at me with a blade of her own; instead, she turned and ran into the dense jungle. She seemed to be curious rather than scared, based on the way she ran. Footprints on the ground where she once stood erased my doubts of her status as a mortal.

I stood there, deliberating the situation. Even though I was aware of the possibility of traps, curiosity compelled me to give chase, and so I followed her footprints into the jungle. The sands of the shore were soon replaced by a soft bed of leaves, red and green. It was then, as my boots crunched the leaves, that I remembered my life before becoming a soldier. I thought about my childhood, and how I loved to play in the grass. It was a rather fun daydream.

As I stood there reminiscing, the girl appeared out of nowhere. My military instincts took over; I threw the knife at her and ran in the opposite direction. Taking a glance backwards, I saw that it too had no effect; it simply went through the girl's body, and the blade cleaved a thin branch sticking out from a tree. The sound of more leaf crunches told me that it was pursuing me. I removed the pin of one of my grenades and threw it towards her direction. Three seconds after the explosion, the girl burst through the smoke, and seemed to be running faster than a human is capable of doing. When she was closing in on me, I gave up. She was twenty feet away from me when I stopped; the moment I did, she ceased "sprinting" and slowly walked towards me and smiled in a reassuring manner.

I was suddenly in a white shirt and jeans. I was in my grandma's house. My parents were there. My grandparents were there. Their caretaker was there. Everyone was...eating. No one seemed to be aware of me and the girl's presence.

She continued her advance. As she approached me, images of her appeared in my head. I had seen her somewhere; she was one grade below me when I was in high school. When we were in high school.

She was a foot away from me. Six inches. We were toe to toe. Nose to nose. And then I kissed her.

I woke up, and I was in high school again

I also remember a dream I had a couple days ago. I had just watched harry potter 6 on TV that day and that night, I dreamed that I Imperiused Bellatrix and Lucius Malfoy and got them to do an epic duel. it was sort of like I could reset when one of them died and start again using different spells and combos. It was one of the most enjoyable dreams I've ever had, but was short-lived as I remember my alarm clock rang and I had to go do stuff

I wake up.

that sounds awesome.

Last night I dreamt that me and my closes friends were in a grocery store to buy munchies to eat during some blazin' session we apparently had planned.

Just like in real life I had issues deciding what snacks to buy. My friends got really annoyed and shout at me to hurry up. When I finally got to the register, I came to realize that I actually had not picked up a single snack, my shopping cart was filled with clothes. I was like; Fuck it, I cant be assed to empty the cart, I'll just buy clothes.

Then I see Ronaldinho Gaúcho. I walk up to him and ask him where I can find a yellow hawaiian shirt.
Then I woke up :/.

I've had many wierd dreams, but only a handful of which I remember clearly. I'll share with you the most interesting ones.

Some details may be missing, it was a long time ago.

+ Show Spoiler [FUCKING RAPTORS!] +

This is the oldest dream I remember, I think it was nine or ten years ago.

So me and my family are up by this lake in the middle of nowhere, called Tunnsjøflyan. We usually go there for about a week every summer to fish, relax and just have a good time.

something like this

There is a small dirt road that goes right up to the lake, so we brought a camping trailer with us so we wouldn't have to sleep in tents. So the day goes by, we go out in the boat, we light a campfire, we roast some fish. As the evening draws closer, the sky gets darker and darker. I remember that I thought it was a bit strange, as it never really gets dark during summer where I live.

So anyways, we finally call it a day and go inside. The trailer we brought with us wasnt exactly big, probably around 5x2 meters, and I wondered how the hell we would all fit in there. When I got inside, however, the trailer was as big as a livingroom, with a huge bed in the middle of it. Not deterred by the fact that our trailer defied the laws of physics, we went to sleep. My sleep is uneasy that night, and with good reason! I wake up at around 3 am and look around me in the dark trailer. All my family members are sleeping soundly. I reach over to the night table and turn on the light. That's when I see them.

Fucking raptors!

About five or six huge velociraptors have surrounded my bed, staring at me with malicious bloodthirst in their eyes. I freeze up, completely terrified. The raptors croak and hiss as they stare at me. They seem to be talking to each other. I panic and shake desperately at my mom to wake her up. That's when I realize that my entire family are skeletons! And not like, dead skeletons either. There fucking living skeletons! They sit up, one at a time, and look blankly at me with their empty eye sockets. Their lipless, white mouths seem to be grinning at me. I realize that they aren't going to help me. What can I do now?

As the raptors circle around the bed, smirking with their razor sharp teeth, and croaking with carnivorous glee, I notice something out of the corner of my eye. There, on the night table, lies a remote control!

A MOTHER FUCKING REMOTE CONTROL!!!

The head raptor is preparing to strike, and I realize what I have to do. I mobilize all my strenght and throw myself sideways out of the bed like some 80's action hero, grabbing the remote as i fly by. I land on the floor, get up on my knees and point it at the raptors. Just as the raptors all lunge towards me, I change the channel.

All of the sudden, I'm standing in the driveway outside my cousin's house. The raptors are gone. So is the remote. I look at my cousin, dazed and confused. He just nods at me, and we go inside.

Then I woke up.

+ Show Spoiler [ATTACK OF THE SINGING STICKMEN] +

This is a more recent one, I believe I dreamt this an easter three or four years ago. Again, some details are missing, and something just seems wrong with it. I can't put my finger on it, but every time i think about it, it feels like I've forgotten something important.

So I'm standing at Skagen, at the north tip of Denmark. Don't ask me why, cause I don't remember. If you haven't been there, Skagen is like a huge sand dune that just kind of disappears into the ocean. It's also where the currents of the North and Baltic Sea meets, resulting in strong undercurrents that can pull a grown man to the bottom of the ocean.

I'm standing at the tip of this sand dune, watching as the ocean brushes against the shore, washing parts of it away, bringing parts of it back. A cold breeze sweeps over the landscape, bringing chills down my spine. I can feel something unusual is going to happen. And I'm right.

The wind picks up in strenght, and it seems like both the air and the ocean are charging towards me. The gentle splashes of the heave are replaced by a thunderous roar, as massive waves of black water slam against the shore. A nameless fear possesses me, and I look up into the sky. Massive, blood red clouds cover the sky that was blue moments ago. And like a deadly rain from a hellish sky, they come falling down.

FUCKING STICKMEN!!!!!111

Hundreds, no, thousands of stickmen come falling down from the blood red sky. Their heads are empty and faceless, and they all sing the same childish tune. Imagine a thousand kids singing the same incoherent song in perfect symphony. I can't explain why, but it creeped me the fuck out. For some reason I can't remember how the tune went.

As the stickmen land, they start attacking people. Their fists crush people's faces like wet paper bags, and their hands rip people apart like earthworms. The last thing I remember is a stickman running up behind me and planting his fist in my face.

Then I woke up.

One of the happiest dreams of my life was when I succesfully lucid dreamed for the first time and even though im not a big fan of ironman. In my dream I found the Ironman suit in my room and flew around the city and it felt so real and awesome and then I blew up a Wal-Mart and ate Ice cream Sandwiches. Seriously it was the most fun dream ever.

My dreams are a cruel joke sometimes. Once there was this girl I was deeply in love with. One of the best moments of my life are just of us in bed hiding underneath the sheets and just talking and doing nothing. Let's just say that It didn't work out in the end. Until recently I would sometimes dream of me lying down on my couch with her sleeping like an angel with me. I'd feel the warmth of her face buried in my chest and my heart would swell with unbridled joy once again. Then after a few minutes of just soaking in the moment I'd realize, "Fuck.... this is just a dream isn't it?" Then I'd study her face, she'd look cuter than a kitten and a puppy trying to fit into one slipper, and say to myself, "I don't even care if this is a dream, this is amazing." And then I'd wake up >_>.

My favourite dreams though are when I'm flying. I have the fucking best flying dreams because you know what I have to do in order to fly? I'd have to triple jump like mario from n64! FUNTASTIC. So I would dream about standing on an open road, start running, jump once, jump twice and on the third jump I'd spin in the air and have lift off.

The room was dark. An unseen source of haunting light projected across its only two occupants – a standing woman with dark hair to her shoulders and a dead man, held up by some unseen device. Both were lit only to their shoulders, equal in height an still, surrounded by a grand nothingness.
From the darkness, the woman drew a needle – empty, but not withdrawn for the use of injection regardless. Her soft hands brought the needle up to his throat. With one swift motion, she punctured his Adam’s Apple. Slowly, the needle was pulled back from the bloodless wound, and it dropped soundlessly to the presumed floor.
Again from the blackness around, the woman – nameless, with no identity – summoned a small, but carefully sharpened pen knife. Again her hand rose, gripping the knife, to the man’s throat. With steady precision, she inserted the tip of the blade into the minute hole created by the needle. Silently and with deliverance, she expanded the wound upwards and downwards, forming a still bloodless vertical incision, a clean line down the length of the man’s throat.
Dropping the penknife, the woman took hold of each flap of skin, peeling back the weak flesh, exposing the bloody mess existing beneath. A smile crept upon her face, her pretty features hidden by a mask of cruelty.
In two quick, thrusting motions the woman drove her right hand into the man’s throat and tore from within a fistful of bleeding, crimson flesh.
Satisfied with her now completed deed, the woman walked away into the darkness gripping her ball of gore, still bearing her cruel, yet beautiful smile.

Hopefully someone will enjoy reading that as much as I was freaked out by dreaming it.

I don't remember many of my dreams, but there is one that I had when I was smaller (kindergarten or first grade).

I'm in my school classroom, and it's just a regular school day. I'm sitting in my seat doing work when suddenly I have to go to the bathroom, and ask the teacher if I can use the restroom. She, of course, says yes and I proceed to a door in the corner (the door does not exist in the classroom IRL, just in the dream). I open it, revealing a large bathroom (again nothing resembling the real bathroom). At first glance, it appears empty; a few lengths of toilet paper are on the ground, nothing unusual. As I enter the bathroom I become vaguely aware of a girl weeping in the last stall. I don't know how to explain it, but I just know that something is wrong. She is crying softly, but I don't know what to do or how to comfort her. It's like the rest of the world doesn't exist for some reason, its just me, the bathroom, and the girl. I'm not sure if I'm remembering this correctly, but a bit later I become very scared of wolves, almost as if I know that some are coming. I wake up sometime soon after.

It doesn't sound very scary, but I was very young and for some reason this really freaked me out; I woke up really paranoid and lay in my bed for a while, too scared to move. I don't know why I still remember it and not all my other dreams, I guess it must have really affected me somehow.

P.S. If you beat the meat every now and then you won't get wet dreams (certainly not as much anyways).
Imagine if i had a REAL weapon

I've had two really emotionally intense dreams in my life where I woke up sobbing... In the first one I died and in the second my younger sister died :/. But lately I haven't dreamt anything memorable that left a lasting impression on me when I woke up.

So, I recently started writing down insane dreams that I've had right after I wake up. I have to say that it is one of my best ideas ever. Here are the two latest entries, unedited written seconds after waking up. Do not ask me to explain them because I cannot. Warning: spelling and grammar are nonexistent.

1: -series/book/show psycics - avatars can appear as anything but always end up as dogs. Trust no one. psycic teams hunt down commissions finding/killing avatars. massive tinelapses psycics are given numbers like claymore. numbers arent awlays psycic potent few have true psycic power. the strongest still only have mild to no psycic ability.insane weapons. paper clip launcher? hugh lowrey puppet master: friend or foe? killing or controlling avatars increases pyscic potency avatars are strongly linked

2:
man a- "fouling laterally isnt in the code of fowls"
man b-"fouling laterally IS in the code of fowls"
man a-"no it isn't"
man b-"yes it is"
man a-"so what you think me getting new glasses would make a diffence? Well it should! Mine are girl frames! OH MY GAHDDD Oh My Gahddd oh my godd" <despite yelling this embarrassing confession, no in the bank reacts>

*man a fouls laterally in his next hockey game AND beats up the other teams best player with his new found confidence*

I can't wait for my next entry.

Writing down your dreams is one of the more awesome things you can do in life. I did it a few years back, should really pick it up again.

My very first dream I can remember (first nightmare too) was... weird. Only a few seconds long too. I found myself swimming in a volcano. However, instead of lava, it was filled with green bubbly slime, like you see in cartoons sometimes. On the edge of the volcano were a shitload of cars, all driving down a ramp that led straight into the slime. The cars were varying heavily in age, from sports cars to trailer trucks to horse and cart. All just slowly marching one by one to their slimy death.

Then my head got below the surface, I could only see green, had no idea if I was sinking or rising. Then I woke up in a wet bed.

Think I was like 4 or 5 when I had this one.
Gravity is just a theory anyway.

Haha, I've never had any wet dreams, but thats probably because I've been jacking off daily since grade-school.

One of the more satisfying dreams I ever had happened a couple years ago. There was no set up, no long story to tell, I was just lying in the tub with my highschool crush of 3 years squatting over my face. It was actually pretty fucking messed up. There was some anatomical ambiguity going on, and beyond the surface of -her- , things got weird. Regardless, it was a fantastic dream. Her skin was shining from the water, and she was just a bit slimmer than in real life. The only dialogue I can remember is her saying "Use your teeth baby!". Told you it was weird. Then I woke up and jacked off.

Other than that, the most significant dream I've ever had not involving physics-defying-fucking was a recurring one of me walking up a staircase. I've heard other people have had exactly the same dream, and thats more than a little creepy. This was the sort of dream that I'd have 6 times in a year, then not think about it for 3 years before getting it again out of the blue.
So theres a staircase, and it the kind with no vertical planks, only the horizontal steps. I'm climbing upwards to nowhere for what seems like hours, and every plank of staircase is 1 mm farther away from the one before it. So after a while I have to do a little jump to get across, then full jumps, soon the planks are meters away and I have to use all my strength to jump to the next. Ultimately, they get too far apart and I fall between them. I fall for minutes since I've been climbing upwards for hours. The ground gets closer and closer until I hit it, and awake in my bed panting and covered in sweat. Then I usually jack off.

Also as a depressed 12 year old I would often have dreams of me being a super hero, and fighting crime or baddies or whatever, and then just when I needed my super strength or flying powers the most, they would stop working. Those sucked so fucking hard. Then I'd yell for help since I couldn't spin a giant web or throw a fireball for whatever reason, but my voice wouldn't make any sound. The sudden fear of something you've relied on forever (the super powers) being taken away without reason was chilling. Now that I think about it, I was pretty shocked by my parents getting divorced. Something I've relied on forever suddenly being taken away? Just call me Dream-Walker Lexpar. Now interpreting dreams for low low prices.

I had kind of an odd night of sleep last night, during the but before waking up several times I woke from a bizzare dream...this is vaguely how it went:

I was in a public place with 2 of my clan friends (oddly enough) and we were getting along just fine, I guess I was messing with my cell phone as usual showing pics on facebook or whatnot and then things turn for the worse. Something on my phone triggers anger out of my typically angry clan mate and it started an argument. In the midst of the heated debate, i called him a faggot and he snatched my fucking phone and runs off! I was furious running after him and wanting my phone back, the two split up and now were are runing and chasing like a scene from scooby doo (1 hallway, infinite doors and people running in and out of the doors but never catch another) Everything went from happy happy fun time to Im gonna git u sucka! The chase ends when I catch my two friends and put them each in a headlock with the strength of a python, Im shaking the shit out of them and finally get my phone back, once in my hands I wake up.

What teh fuck?

People seem to have really bad experiences with sleep paralysis :o. The wierd thing is that I actually find it relaxing. For me it begins as if i am slowly spinning in my bed, then progresses into an intensifying feeling of falling very fast. The only bad experience I have had is when I was just exiting a semi-lucid dream. As I was waking up I felt that intense "evil presence" that most people feel during sleep paralysis, then a ghoulish creature with only several dark pits for a face jumped on me and attacked my neck. I was legitimately terrified as I felt it's skin against mine and it's weight against my chest. Fortunately I had read quite a bit about sleep paralysis, recognized that the creature was just a hallucination, and was able to control it and force it away. I then woke up, not afraid, but with a creepy feeling of victory.

Wow, this is an awesome thread. Too bad, I can't remember any of my dreams. I think I'll try writing it down starting today.

I just remembered a very vague dream because of this thread though: I was dreaming about something awesome (can't remember). My alarm clock goes off, and I'm just like "WTF is that annoying noise?". Then, I wake up and I was like "Fuck!, that was so awesome, stupid alarm clock." I tried going back to sleep and continuing my dream but couldn't.

Yeah the best way to start remembering dreams is to keep a journal. I have heard it can work better to actualy write it down on paper as opposed to a computer or phone because it takes more time.

Anyways I remember a lot of dreams, but the particular one I mentioned above prior to the sleep paralysis was very strange. I remember laying in bed awake trying to get to sleep. The transition into a dream must have been somewhat seamless because the next thing I remember is hearing the garage door open and a car drive in. I know for a fact that this never happened. Heres where it gets wierd.

I get up and walk into the garage to see the car, yet still feel myself in bed. I see from both perspectives somewhat layed on top of eachother, and just feel generaly bizarre. Then I lose the perspective of me in bed and find myself standing in my house. It was very dark, and I felt like there were other people around, in the comforting kind of way. Some scrap of awareness was still echoing in my mind from the wierd half asleep state I was just in, so I discovered that I was dreaming.

Although I knew I was dreaming, the darkness prevented me from fully understanding that I was capable of whatever I imagined. Instead of changing the scene and stabalizing the dream by feeling the objects around me like I should have, I just wandered around into my kitchen. As I blindly made my way around observing the abstract scenery of my house (including a random portal to a vast field of grass with a random tree) I lost even more awareness, and went back to my bedroom. In a strange twist, I attempt to fall asleep inside my dream. Unsuprisingly instead of having a dream inside a dream, I wake up into sleep paralysis. The rest of the story is above.

I had a dream this last Saturday that my dog walked all the way to the beach house I was staying at (2 hours away from my regular home) and started barking at me. I went outside to pet him and he licked my hand and walked away. It was weird cause it was the first time I had a memorable dream about my dog. When I got home Sunday evening my dog was dead, due to heat exhaustion. My dad said he had probably died Saturday evening.
Never pass up a good thing.

I've had one dream where I was ruler of the world and I was trying to improve the world and shit. The dream progressed over the course of months. Eventually I came to an ending to that dream and I repeated that one many many times until I stopped dreaming about it. This dream was about power and a desire to "help the world". I probably dreamt about it because I don't have much freedom at home.

As a kid I also had a recurring dream where I lived by myself in a forest. I think this was some time after reading the "On The Far Side of The Mountain" and "Hatchet" series. I built everything for myself by using what I found in the forest. My treehouse operated cleanly providing fresh clean water. I caught my own food and picked berries. I think what I liked most was the relaxing freedom of this dream. Sometimes I still look at forests and think about how great it would be to live in them, even though realistically I probably wouldn't like it.

I dreamt about a girl that I had a crush on from the seventh to the ninth grade. She was rather shallow, and not the smartest girl. But she was pretty and more developed than her peers at that age. It was strange since I didn't like her anymore.

I was on a school bus, and when she got on, I looked at her, she saw me, and then I looked away. She always sat in the back with the cool kids but this day, she took the seat in front of me. I couldn't understand why, and as I started coming up with stupid reasons, she turned around gave me a bad look. Then she looked away. I looked down and placed my hands on the top of her bus seat. A few seconds later, she tapped me on the hands and when I looked up she was leaning on the seat and she gave me this beautiful smile. I hated waking up from that dream. I really just wanted to be acknowledged by girls that liked me, I didn't need them to like me back.

I had a dream about a female Zordon before it happened. For a long time I thought it was a premonition. Now I think I just saw the "on the next episode of power rangers" section and didn't realize it consciously.

The scary
+ Show Spoiler +
Once when I was 6/7, I ate too much toothpaste while brushing my teeth. It wasn't enough that my stomach hurt; I had nightmares all night that I was being chased through a dark forest. I ran in a circle always trying to something behind me.

The Sleep Paralysis
+ Show Spoiler +
None, I don't go back to sleep after experiencing sleep paralysis. I agree with some people on the other dream threads that sleep paralysis is caused by sleeping in a hot room. In addition, wikipedia says it can be caused by not sleeping enough. It's scary not being able to move your body though, you don't know if you'll be like that forever, and a fight or flight instinct kicks in trying to move because if you don't it'd be like you were dead.

Havent had a lucid dream since i was like 10 when i had the same nightmare over and over than i finally just pulled out a gun and killed the villain lol. then the dream basically collapsed and i woke up.

Recently i've remembered my dreams for the last 4-5 nights in a row, going to keep keeping a mental log of my dreams when i wake up and remember everything i can about them, but not much more since i'm too lazy to keep a journal.

I dreamt one of the best dreams i've ever dreamed this night! It was with 2 girls, both girls that i know. One of them is Really hot, but i haven't talked alot to her. the other one is just amazing, and kinda hot aswell.

The first girl jumped me and said like "I wanna do you, RIGHT NOW!" but i hessitated. In real life i was in love with the other girl before, that's probably why i hessitated in this dream. Because of the hessitation, the other girl came in, and they both stood in front of me, telling me that i had to choose. In this dream, i guess i was still in love with the second girl, so i said, with no hessitation: "I only want you" and took her in her arm and pulled her close to me.

It was so beautiful, and when the alarm went off this morning (work.. sigh..) I felt sooo happy, because it all felt so real, you all know what im talking about. It wasn't untill i was making my breakfast that i realized it was all a dream hahaha.

Makes me happy just thinking about that dream, and i will never forget it!

when I was like 4-5, whenever I get sick or have fever I was having nightmares that I was being chased by a train in a railroad.. and there was one timer showing how much time left.. when the timer hits to zero, train catchs up to me and just when it tries to crush me I wake up with alarm ringing.. and scary thing is that that alarm is phone's ringing irl.

also in again same situation(sick) I saw computers and calculator raining down on me from the sky.. I was like a genius with math at that time so it might be related to it.. I had to calculate numbers like 978462 * 154468 from my mind.. so yeah it was kinda horrible..

This, i have also experienced. It's very scary but also very interesting i think. It's like the mind knows what's gonna happen in rl, even if you're somewere else in your mind (dreaming).

Its kinda like an outer body experience, very cool!

I also like the dreams were you talk to a friend in the dream, then you wake up by a phonecall from... yes, you are correct, the same friend! cool sht!

Don't know if this happens to others too, but with me it only occurred after a really scary dream, making the paralysis even more scarier. I had them regularly, but the last one was maybe 2 years ago. + Show Spoiler [the dreams] +
something like a ghost or spirit lifting me, or dark figures with no recognizable shapes moving around my room or home while I'm in the bed. What scares me the most is the environment: always my home, exactly how it is. Usually I don't have dreams with familiar surroundings so similar

When paralyzed, it feels like if you don't fight it you'll die or be hurt badly. I'll try to trigger it again lol

Most people dream every night, I assume you mean you only remember about 2 year heheh...

As for me all my dreams are incredibly strange, even my nightmares are strange some examples.

Nightmares
+ Show Spoiler +
My two most common reoccurring nightmares involve having intense surgery done to myself while awake and without morphine or anything similar, such as brain surgery or open chest surgery. And the second is always trying to move up an almost vertical slope either in a car or climbing, I never actually fall but it fills me with such intense fear I wake up sweating sometimes.

Dreams
+ Show Spoiler +
I have many dreams but the most recent one I can remember is of me looking at myself from outside myself, strapped to an upright medical table, and for some reason I need to get inside my body, so I open my mouth and crawl down my own throat and into my stomach, but when I get there it becomes like a giant city like new york or something except all the sidewalks and buildings are white and everything is very very clean and perfect, there are many people moving around doing various things but none of them ever speak or make much noise at all, I am fairly certain I walked around for quite some time but I don't remember many other details after I woke up, fun stuff.

Ive never been able to have a complete lucid dream per say but there have been times when I would know I was dreaming and I would try to force things to happen the way I wanted them to, but it was like a tug-o-war with the dream itself and I never had full control no matter how hard I tried lol...

I don't want to go into detail on most of my dreams as they are both messed up and i don't remember everything.

But a common nightmare is falling and it feels like im actually falling, feels like im gonna puke my stomach out then i hit the ground and i don't feel anything. Then i wake up and im scared to death. LOL

I think I just had a sleep paralysis dream brought on by fatigue. I do have hypertension and anxiety/depression meds.

TLO just lost his Bo5 against White-Ra on their streams. I had a long work day and stretched and relaxed my body.
Wrist stretches = + Show Spoiler +

GoGo coaches, there are battle-weary wrists of MVP and Flash to assist! Massage! Massage!

FUCK YEAH LIFE!

I'm home alone for the first time this summer. And I'm not a fucking child.

I have to work at 4:30 am for my 3rd day of 4 before I start summer school, I'm feeling new-found stress. I fell asleep randomly on my couch watching White-Ra. I awoke and sloshed upstairs to my bedroom, and fell asleep after a pillow fluffing.

Sleep terror ("Nightmare")
+ Show Spoiler +
Then proceeded a sadistic and undeniable violent and torturous nightmare of the destruction of my home, mental state and life.

3 bullies from my past invaded my "home" with two dozen people, and drugged me with white powder.

(I could feel weightless after the "scene") Then I got to my room and tried to shake the hallucination and intoxication.
Two girls awaited me, and it became violent quickly. I didn't fight them, and they stabbed me with an unknown syringe, and stole from me, whilst yelling at me to fuck them.

I escaped from one unknown area to find myself in a less hospitable area, bleeding and drugged. I couldn't yell or move. I sailed through the nightmare like a live animal awaiting it's slaughter.

I went from home, to plaza (I live in the country...) and further into the streets (MW3 "Resistance" similar area) hopeless and running from authorities and what was flight away from my wrong-doers.

I kept reliving the experience and began to despair. I'd fly from one scenario to the next, repeatedly getting seriously fucked and hurt, lost, and left alone awash in a ditch.

I had to experience, only once thankfully, an auditorium of people throwing shruikens at me, while I failed at catching and returning them. I became flayed and limp, soaring around helpless.

Then getting drugged and assaulted while my home was invaded by my real life antagonists. I fled and stumbled in a roadside ditch with one semi approaching, while I hid from view.

I would "return" to my "home" hoping I could return safely to sleep, but the home invasion begun anew. And I was helpless as I struggled to find my way around the maze of stairs and areas. I would get "drunker" or "saturated" from an overdose sabotage as the cycle progressed and could barely lift myself out a swamp I army-floated through to reach the roadside ditch awaiting my savior turned passerby in the night.

Then I'd return back suddenly to my "home" going up the stairs to do something with these previous acquaintances turned real-life antagonists.

3-4 times I ran through the nightmare in my neurons, thanks evolutionary biological mechanisms...

The only dream I really remember is a nightmare that gave me a shocking experience when I was about 16 or something like that, here we go:

+ Show Spoiler [the dream] +

So I just lie in my bed and suddenly I see a weird man with a coat and a hat standing in a corner in the other end of my room. I'm lying with mostly closed eyes in my bed pretending I'm asleep. He moves slowly towards me, like 2 steps and I am scared as hell and wake up.
I'm sitting in my bed now, awake, turning on the light, totally sweaty, scared like shit but I realize it was just a dream, am happy, think about this and after 60 secs or so, I go back to sleep and turn the light off.
10 secs after I turn the light off I see the same guy again. Exactly where he ended up standing when I woke up, just 60 secs ago.
Basicly the exact same thing over again, just that he started 2 steps closer to me. The same stuff happens, closed eyes, pretending to be asleep, he gets 2 steps closer and I wake up sweaty as hell, sitting in my bed, happy to finally be awake.
This time I was really shocked, I sat there like 15 mins with the lights on and after that went to sleep again although I was scared.
Needless to say the same thing happened again. The guy was again 2 steps closer, makes 2 more steps, I wake up and stuff like I mentioned above. However this time he gets to my bed with his 2 steps before waking up.
So now I am REALLY scared because this shit already happened 3 times now. I'm watching my clock, it's something like 4 am and I told myself to just stay up for the rest of the night.
Aaaand I fall asleep again some time later. Suddenly I wake up, not sweaty at all. Everythings fine, light is off because I just woke up, no man in the corner nowhere.

I'm really released, starting to loosen up and 3 secs later this guy jumps right into my face and I FINALLY wake up for real.

The dream itself was nothing special at all, just a nightmare but the experience was really terrifying to me that day. I don't know if I actually woke up multiple times and if it were multiple dreams that worked out together perfectly or if it was some Inception-like bullshit as in me dreaming to wake up which makes me think I am awake while I am still asleep, which sounds incredible unlikely but it sure felt that way.
///Edit: Sitting in your bed thinking you are in reality AFTER a nightmare just to figure out you actually are still NOT in the real world and this shit happens over and over again really was somewhat mindbreaking to me that time. I was really scared, not because of the dream at all but because of that weird set-up that made me think I am finally awake again, everythings fine from now on and BAM, everything's back to crazy.///

Pretty much the only dream I really remember. Sure I had some dreams that I can still remember (mostly nice ones, I'm really not a nightmare guy usually o.O) but that nightmare is the only one I can really still picture even after years beyond knowing what happened in the dream.

I have dreams frequently, I cant' recall most of them though, but I actually had a set of dreams the other night that have stuck out, unforunately not in a good way.

The first one was kind of violent, I remember this guy i used to know from school and soccer from years ago was picking on me or something and it got violent. all there was to it, but that wasn't the one that bothered me. Of course I had a dream about my ex girlfriend which pretty much tilted me throughout the day. The dream didn't have anything bad to it, it was actually very pleasant. In the dream I remember being very close to her and specifically remember being happy and seeing her smile. While the dream may have been a warm fuzzy feeling when I woke up she was drilled into my head and I became distraught and thought about her for the next two days :/

Mind fuck

Most dreams that I can recall are scary or negative, although I've had some really good one's as well.

Nightmares
+ Show Spoiler +
The most prominant nightmare that I've had about 4 times since I was a kid was one where I was being murdered. I was 6 or 7 years old and I remember trying to pass through this long hallway in an apartment I used to live in a long time ago with my mom and sister. I remember trying to reach the end of the hallway to get to my mom's room, but I was being stopped by some entity. I kept trying to dash under his/her legs, run around them and even jump over them but I couldn't. Every time that I would fail, the person would hold me down and stab me with a steak knife and break the handle off, allowing the blade to stay lodged in my back. I would try to reach my mom's room and experience this about 4-5 times before I would finally wake up either in tears or in pain.

Paralysis(?) Still terrifies me to this day just typing it out..
+ Show Spoiler +
I've only had sleep paralysis once in my life, and still to this day I'm not sure if it even was. I was aware that I was asleep, but I felt that I was just about to wake up. That borderline feeling..I don't know how to explain it. It was almost as if my eyes were simply closed and I wasn't asleep. I remember hearing voices speaking but I couldn't keep up or make out what they were saying. Eventually they became very rapid and there were so many that I was getting frustrated. Eventually one overpowered the other's and I heard this loud (almost as if I was the one saying it) voice say something about "posessed". That's the only word I remember actually, just a very loud voice say it. No, declare the word: "POSESSED".

I immediately woke up wide-eyed and felt this horrendous fear and had what seemed like tunnel vision. You know, where you're so excited/scared/focused that all that you can focus on is what's directly in front of you. I tried to get up to turn my light on, but I found that I couldn't move. I couldn't move my arms, legs, head..not even my tongue. The only part of me that seemed to respond were my eyes, but I didn't dare look around my room because I knew if I saw an entity I would straight up lose my shit. I don't really know how to describe it, but I felt this immeasurable rage..around me. I could actually feel this anger/hatred, but it wasn't from me. I don't..know how to explain it. I was 100% convinced that something was in my room with me. I could see out of the corner of my left eye a shadow hovering in the left corner of my room near the door. As I stared forward I braced myself for it to move or appear under the flicker of my television lights. I tried to yell for my mom, as I was 16 at the time and her bedroom wasn't far from mine, but again I couldn't even open my lips to allow the words to escape under clenched teeth. After laying there for about 5 minutes, all the while wide-eyed, I finally took a deep breath and I guess regained control over myself and was able to sit up and turn my light on.

I turned just about every light in the house on and woke my mom up. She could see I was a mess, as I was in tears and so terrified I could barely speak. She went downstairs with me where I told her everything that had happened. I told her about the voice, not being able to move my body physically and feeling that something was with me. She looked at me in shock, and told me that she had actually dreamt that night that a boy came into her room tapping her on the thigh and repeatedly saying "mom". She said she couldn't tell who it was, and when she got up they were gone which spooked her very badly. After staying up for a few hours she prayed with me (she's pretty religious, me not so much) and then went to bed. I didn't get another minute of sleep that night.

After doing some research I came across sleep paralysis and pretty much decided that it had to have been that. The thing is though when I opened my eyes and experienced all of this I never once closed them again. I never "woke up" from this.. I was 100% conscious about what was going on around me from the moment that I found myself unable to move to the point where I turned my light on. I'm 99% positive that it was sleep paralysis..but, call it the crazy in me, I still retain the 1% because of my own uncertainty.

I remember looking at my alarm clock to the left of my bed while unable to move and it was around 3 a.m that all of this had happened. I try my hardest every single night to be well asleep before this time..

I had a this interesting dreamm ....

Klunk! Klunk! Klunk! I woke up in some small annoyance, and a scene came in from my propiroception of the Little Bald Doctor banging my wheel-chair, myself in it, through an unneccessarily narrow door, made for what I presumed men who were tall and need without wheels. Inconveniance. And so I was rolled in a room with dark floor-boards and a table up four feet from a wall in direct sight that went up just below this man's sternum who stood looking curiously at us with a fancy bow-tie on his collar, and lo' be it, this Bow-Tie man looked like he had some judgement within him.

"Three! Three! Three!" shouted the Littlke Bald Doctor, unnecessarily tyrant and slammed a wad of green paper on the table.

" ... huh?", the Bow-Tie asked.

"Three! Three! Three!" the Doctor shouted again.

"You want room number three?" the Bow-Tie understood.

"Three! Three! Three!" and so a drawer opened and I was rolled in haste to room number three, just after we were rudely interupted.

"Hey, what's your wrong with your friend there?", the Bow-tie inquired, which I found a bit queer and puzzling since there was no one else in the room but the three of us, so I do not know who he could possibly be refering to.

I don't remember the motel room. I do, actually, but it was a room like any other, and a room 'like' is seen one seen all, and for this I have forgotten it even with myself in it. The motel room, as with little memory I hold did not include the Light Bulb which was On from the moment we opened the door; a highly severe audit issue with the management not paying mind. Yellow, dull, dirty--you cannot breathe correctly in such Yellow Light. All is polluted. I've long been the most sensitive to the color temperature of artificial lighting. The humans preceeding us and, I dare make a presumption, had not correctly assessed color temperatures in relationship to their biological make-up. Humans don't consider color temperature. They are beasts and neanderthals. Humans will not consider color temperature. They cannot consider color temperature. These human beings are without consideration, and I have long ceased to consider them at all.

"What a ghastly thing, there." I pointed with my cane at the Yellow Bulb. "Turn off the light."

"This light doesn't turn off! Ack!" the Doctor shouted shortly after as I noticed he kept hopping on and off the bed (the Doctor is short, worth mentioning only once) pulling down the light chain switch with no results from our dear ol'e single Yellow Light Bulb. Yes, it was a trooper. It did not do as told. Normally I'd hold it in esteem, but it does not do me credit with its obtrusiveness and vulgarity in my eyes. I long for purity.

"Go on!"

"I'm trying! Ack!" and up and down he went, jumping, pulling, jumping, pulling, sometimes missing, falling and knocking his big head on the carpet. He did this for hours. Would you believe it if I told you? He jumped and pulled for hours. I had nothing better to do. I would not lie, even if I were capable of it, and I will say that I watched him for hours, jumping, pulling, missing, falling, and knocking his big head on the carpet. I felt I needed an intermission between the act so I interluded,

"You're useless. Just break the damn thing." I said, knowing very quite well that the Doctor was short (only worth mentioning once) and that even in my poor vision that this motel room was scant with little to nothing to be thrown to break the Yellow Light. There was nothing look for, out in the open, so in this fact the Little Bald Doctor proceeded to look for something light enough to throw at the Bulb.

"Hoh! Ack! Ack! Ack! Useless, but more useful than even the less useful people ... " he rambled on and on and on the way he does going from one point to another and I frequently became grateful for my deterioration of senses the longer and longer I lived. He spied the night table drawer and soon shouted, "HsaW Aknow! I found something!"

"What?" I asked.

"It's 'Wonka Wash' spelled backwards" he said.

"No, what did you find?" I asked.

"I found something?", and he looked puzzled.

"In your hands!", I pointed.

"Oh! Ack!" and so he held it up in the air, "I found something!" and so a better look I've found him holding an irresponsibly thick book, the pages flattering about as he waved it in his discovery.

"Throw it!" I said.

"You know, if I break the Light Bulb it may not come back on again."

"I hadn't thought about that." Saying 'I hadn't thought about that', I proceeded to not think about it, given that a light can be on or off and these days there is a choice between the things I do not want to think about and those things which I do not want to think about even more.

"Certain, books, Mark." the Little Bald Doctor said and motioned to his thick book.

"Huh?" I asked, the Doctor infrequently made sense. No, not by his own choice or will or understanding the things that need to be understood in the world, but rather I stopped trying piecing and tying together the words that came out of his mouth: Seperated, detached, isolated words without a drop of inherency.

"I am reminded of a poem long ago, 'After Reading Certain Books', an author that I forget, appropriately" and so he went on in his verse high in the chest:

"'It is a great deal better to lose than to win.

and virtue is nothing compared to sin

and to get out of heaven is the way to get in

Said the Devil,

the Best can make his happy hell,

a champagne joy in the path we know well

and who can rise that never fell?

Said the Devil,'"

I looked at the Doctor. 'That's nice' I imagine my face read. I then looked at a small corner of the motel and exclaimed,

"Who the Hell is that!?"

"Oh, shit!" the Doctor was now surprised by this young invader of motel rooms, a young boy, younger than I, staring, just staring, like the Dickens and solitude and stiff staring at a wall, no more than two inches away from it, his nose, his eyes, his hands, his feet, all unwaivering and stiff, doing nothing, not anything, just looking at the wall as empty a stare can be. A bright healthy one, too! Sandy brown hair; would've made a great soldier for any cause if he was any bit wise. Could've made a merchant, too. No, a merchants assistant. No, a merchants customer. No, wheels. Either one. "Hey, get out of here!" the Doctor shouted in the Boy's direction.

"Why did you bring me to this motel when management doesn't kick out their own?" I began. You check in one day, you leave the next. That is how it works. I do not know how things work, most admittingly, but motel rooms, all invaders and this horrible Yellow Light! Horrible. Why did you bring me here?"

"We need to rest for the upcoming days activities." the Doctor said.

"Hah, ha, ha, hah!" I cackled. "Rest. The first time you've said that! Get rid of the boy!" and so the Doctor proceed, himself being waist high to the Wall Boy (for the Doctor was short, worth only mentioning once) and pushed with all might to lightly sway Wall Boy, unmoving, still standing.

"I can't! Ack! You talk to him!" the Doctor said.

"I ... have nothing to say, really. You talk to him." I replied.

"He's human, he's vermin. I don't associate with this species."

"I'm human." I said, dissapointed in myself.

"No, you are the first genetic pool in the new species, Mark. Well, you have the stink, sure, but what a stink! And great plans! And what is even better, better, better? Not one inquiry you have interested yourself in for such plans. To be ripe: An insect never knows his cause, nor is an insect capable of knowing why it does what it does. To second guess, Mark, is the most defeating of all things that are Willing, Capable and Strong. You have second guessed yourself so much that you no longer wish yourself to be, and that is more Courage than any other Courage. I need someone with Courage, Mark."

"We are stuck with him." I pointed at the Wall-Boy.

"We are stuck with him."

"Break the Light already! It smells!" I demanded.

"I don't trust the boy."

"What is there to mistrust? Throw it!" and with one big swooping motion the Doctor heaved up the book in a terrible fit of strength, barely throwing it with enough force, (for his height made a requisite of his weakness, only worth mentiong once) but enough, and so the Yellow Light Bulb busted with one quick pop of glass anticlimatingly, less than a second, and drop small shards on the carpet. It was done. How is it that when the things are done that need to be done for some sense of fulfillment, peace, tranquility, something else always arises? My problem was not a problem of what the Bald Doctor and I sensed just one second after our Bulb popped, but a problem with myself, still working and following the long trails that leak, spill and inervate with a parasites digging into an organ, working down into the belly. Though a Bulb may have been browken there was still light, goddamnit, god-fucking damnit, there was still a Yellow light coming in through the blinds and curtains of the motel room and shortly a sinking into my heart came to me of dread, senselessness, and futility in the face of a very hard fact.

"Ack!!! I forgot about that!" the Doctor said now feeling this impeccable and perfect sense of absolute hostility. And so we looked out the window to see the Sun rising up slowly at the daybreak, hovering in small humbleness through a small mountain-town highlighting the geography: Our Yellow Light, and at that moment, one feels, no, I feel what is sacred to me of knowing and compensating what one fucking Light Bulb is to the billion light bulbs that shines every day, every day, every day, every day, ever day, ... ...

"You fool! You've forgotten! I have too! One fucking Light Bulb among a billion! Fuck!" And claustrophobia crawled in my skin. Can't. breathe. Can't. get. fucking. out. This wheel-chair I sat in was no longer of use but to drag it by my hands to get. out. of. this. motel. room., this. building., out of the front door and in my purest sense shouted all curse and glory outside just off the small edge of this small hill, "Fuck! Fuck! Fuck this! Nothing ever, ever, never changes!" and through my wheel-chair down in a small ditch and collapsed into a pool of bones and flesh on the dirt and said hello to a famiiar feeling of despair. 'Hello, darkness my old friend.' There is no profanity that can be profane enough, I have learned through my years. There is no cursing and violation that can drown out the world. I've forgotten myself a bit more lying there in my puddle when I heard the Little Bald Doctor finally come out from the motel building, fancy my grief in this sunrise and touch and hold me on the shoulder, caring and with me. I knew now how he is always there. "What am I going to do now?" I said looking out into the Sun. "What am I going to do now."

A Second Dream I wrote about, titled The Third Shift

---

A forth-night prior I slept for only two hours, myself waking after a period in which I didn't even feel like sleep, but you get to know the symptoms of insomnia personally, many insomniacs stating, "I didn't sleep" when clinicians have clearly seen them snoring for hours. I keep waking up, and when I do, the sleep prior was worthless in that I did not feel refreshed. This night, that accursed Little Bald Doctor awoke me, once more, with his clank-clankity, clank, clanks.

"What in the bloody hell are you doing?" I walked into the kitchen and spotted my Little Bald Doctor on a kitchen chair with a bucket of rocks in hand and, what made my face look of irascible curiousity, a small, but adult, looking White Man standing beside the Little Bald Doctor.

"Watch, Mark!" And the Little Bald Doctor began throwing small rocks at the White Man. The White Man began a small dance a 1900's jig, like small Irish boys might gambol at a festive wake. "I make him dance, Mark! Look at him go! Ack-ack-ack!" I stood and pondered this for a moment, my eyes heavy with fatigue and cynicism. The Little Bald Doctor continued, "But what's really AMAZING is when he dances when I'm NOT throwing rocks at him! He just dances! Look at him go! Dance, dance, Whitey! Ack-ack-ack!"

"Well, it woke me from a great dream I was having!" I said with cross.

"Oh, a pity, pity, Mark ... I should I have put this White Man's dance on silent, but it certainly wouldn't have been as much fun. What was this dream I woke you from?" the Little Bald Doctor asked.

"It was short. It was two men I spyed on in a dark room, the background all shrouded in blackness. This one bloke was speaking, calmy, but firmly and with a certainty in his voice. He said,

'Adherence, allegiance; that is what it means to be a man, sir. A sense of responsibility to another man, a woman or child. Faithfulness and loyalty to something greater, that is a loyalty not only to them, but to yourself. That is what it means to be a real man.' He stopped and my attention went to the man sitting opposite of him. He looked at the convicted man, and as if he were interviewing this man in wanting to know what 'Loyalty' was, and said with a mixture of hope and doubt in his voice,

'Well, ... I'm glad you feel that way, sir. Because what may lay before you is called The Third Shift ... and I sincerely hope you can see yourself through it, sir', and it was at this point where you woke me!"

"That dream didn't sound so great!" The Little Bald Doctor said annoyingly, and continued throwing rocks at the White Man. "Besides, this is much more entertaining!"

"Do you know the meaning behind The Third Shift?" I asked.

"Ack-ack-ack! If I were to guess, I, myself, would be a conjecture. That is all life! A conjecture ... than why trouble a conjecture?" I pondered this a for a bit, than I sat down on the kitchen floor solemnly and watched as the White Man danced.

"Why this farce? Night in, night out ... " I asked.

"You cannot sleep" the Bald Doctor replied.

"And you cannot wake up from the dream you are in." I replied.

"Life goes on. There are sometimes when the White Man comes aliv--"

"A spider!" I interrupted the Little Bald Doctor. To my horror I saw a spider crawling along my kitchen walls!

"Where!? Where!?" The Little Bald Doctor asked and hopped around frantically.

"Behind you! Get him! NO, no, no, don't get him ... Ask if he has a permit first! I bet he doesn't, that incorrigible trespasser!" The Little Bald Doctor made haste and quickly to the chair and placed it under where the spider crawled. Standing uptop the chair, he muttered something unintelligible to the spider and put his ear up to it as if to listen.

"He said he doesnt!" The Little Bald Doctor said.

"GET HIM!" I ordered. But to my equal horror, the Little Bald Doctor raised his small hairless arm as if ready to swat and make muddy blood of the spider there on the wall. "What are you doing!?"

"You told me to GET HIM!"

"Don't kill him! Pick him up with your hand, carry him to the living room, roll open the window and throw him out!"

"But its cold and snowy and icy outside! That's no enviroment for spider!"

"Do it!"

"But if I don't kill the spider he'll die!"

"Do it!" I commanded, but soon our paniced frenzy was stopped and a surprise of all surprises amongst both the Little Bald Doctor and I the White Man came alive and spoke,

"You fools! Haha!" And the White Man laughed heartily to which he could not contain and burst from the seems a ridiculous and virtuous laughter, as if making mock and poking fun at the Little Bald Doctor and your Humble Narrator. In an uninterrupted stream he spoke with a high and confident voice, bright like having a wisdom to be envied. " I can tell you BOTH the meaning of The Third Shift. YOU, Mark, have dreamed the dream of Man and his Dog, your dog, and the loving loyalty and respect we must give to each-other! Yes, you poor, poor folks without religion; being a blasphemy of religion!, but have you not heard the people calls beyond the texts? There is a common thread through-out religion and its people and for even the atheists and agnostics have spoken it too: A common spirituality of bonding through all religions and spiritualities; compassion, love, respect, kindness; THIS is what binds man and keeps him away from the eternal loneliness, the despair of emptiness, worthlessness, meaninglessness. But The Third Shift is the challenge and wakefulness that it is misery to be awake, but as the Greeks said, "Sleep is salvation." The Third Shift? It is a trial for the human wakefulness and awareness! For the more you are awake, the more you crave sleep and this sleep, blissful sleep, is a restoration and cyclical bonding to faith, our loving true faith. But you have no faith! No loyalty! Nothing to hold you to the human! I pity you, Mark. You must lead a miserable existence." The White Man stopped his speech, and as he done so the Little Bald Doctor and I looked at each-other inquisitively and erupted in laughter.

"Ahahahahah!" I laughed, a tumbled over to my side in a hysterical fit of cacchination; my thoughts babbling incoherently and laugh until I couldn't breath, than laughed again, uncontrollably and wildly.

"Ack-ack-ack-ack!!!" The Little Bald Doctor cackled a black insect laughter. "Ho-hum and the New Age gypsies!? Ack-ack-ack-ack! Poetry circles, yeah!? Ack-ack-ack-ack!!!" And he began throwing rocks at the White Man once more, "Dance! Dance!" And for the rest of the night, the Little Bald Doctor and I laughed a maniacal laughter while making the White Man dance, and as he threw rocks, I picked them up off the kitchen tiles and placed it back in his bucket so that he may have more rocks to throw.
